Thanks Buddha for the direct link. I do use this forum as well as all of those within the IAC post to see what is going on not only in our plant, but others as well.

What is your seniority year? Just kind of looking at how high seniority is that is going back. I totally understand going back even at a lower wage and it is very encouraging to hear!!! Let us know if you hear anything else when you go back it will be appreciated!

you should get letter , but to be on safe side call jennifer fienman or linda allen or vince to check ... not sure about cobra never have done it not sure and want you to have they right facts also I would call union hall and maybe leave message... the union meeting for july was set back a week it is the third tues in july but check with your stewert to make sure or call union office... the best place to get info is at the union meetings a lot is talked about ... hope this helps some

My seniority is 1988. I'd like to know when or IF 2nd shift will be coming back! Asked at the union meeting and I don't think they know for sure. If not, we should be red circled. At least our whole shift is gone. But sure that won't happen.

I think this is how it works. IAC CORP sends out the info for COBRA that is what the lady at the IAC benfits cetner told me. The law is *ucked up because you have 90 days of coverage after yur alst day worked then there is 30 days for you to do something about it after that then the company has 14 days to notify you of the cobra benifts. Giving it a total of 44 days after your coverage has ran out. This is the part that is confusing as hell to me but she sais this it the way it works.

Vince was talking about that at union meeting said to be careful of the lapse because you have no insurance best to talk to HR or vince, to be sure.

Also in the news

IAC, whose North American head quarters are based in Dearborn, will buy nine plants from Stankiewicz GmbH, a firm that makes sound-absorbing products and insulation for vehicles.

The purchase includes nine European factories that employ 1,200 people. The purchase adds about $200 million in revenue to IAC’s $3 billion in annual sales.

“This is a transformational transaction for IAC that strengthens our competitive position in Europe,” IAC Chairman Wilbur Ross said in a statement,“We believe the further consolidation of capacity into market leaders is what is needed for the overall industry.”

IAC has been among the stronger suppliers that have received last-minute business as automakers move contracts away from distressed suppliers going out of business.

Ross founded the company in 2007 after purchasing a majority stake in Lear Corp.’s struggling interior businesses and parts of Collins & Aikman, which liquidated in bankruptcy.

What this means..........I'm not sure.
