Lawyers want Virginia as same-sex marriage test case

Sep 30, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Washington Post

The legal team that overturned California's ban on same-sex marriage is targeting Virginia to launch another challenge aimed at convincing the Supreme Court that gays and lesbians have a constitutional right to marry no matter where they live.

President Obama also promised us that we would be able to keep our doctor. Another lie.

So let’s break down the president’s lies.

Thursday he told an audience in Largo, Maryland that the Affordable Care Act had not hurt jobs.

“There's no widespread evidence that the Affordable Care Act is hurting jobs,” he said.

Investor’s Business Daily reports that as a direct result of ObamaCare, more than 300 companies have either eliminated jobs or reduced full time jobs to part time jobs. Hospitals across the country are firing staff and reducing work hours.

Take a look at this:

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial page predicts that the legislation will lead to “deteriorating service.” Business groups warn that Washington bureaucrats will invade “the privacy of the examination room,” that we are on the road to rationed care and that patients will lose the “freedom to choose their own doctor.”

That was in 1965 (or thereabouts) concerning the Medicare Act. Gee, how history repeats itself.

pookie: A term of endearment used for a loved one. Often used when one is aroused sexually.

So you're still a frustrated, old, fat, white, virgin trolling for men on toothpix.

Not one of those things is a "lie," you filthy reTHUGlican liar. Apologize for your treason or vacate these boards.

blaming Obama for the treachery of the average American corporate pig is disgusting and dishonest. Of course, that's why you're a reTHUGlican, obviously.

As has been reported widely, the Republicans are not afraid of what the ACA is going to do to the economy. What they ARE afraid of is that the ACA is going to work, and be well-received by Americans. There are problems with it, as there is in most new programs, but throwing the baby out with the bath water is not the answer. Oh, and you are welcome.

If that were true, the exchanges would be set up, the websites would work today and Obama himself wouldn't have stopped their start dates. Look at the actions pookie, not the words........they are lies.

Bet you can't get a tee time in DC.

Obama says he'll push Congress to re-open government in address to military......even though he hasn't met with congressional leaders on the budget in weeks..........foreeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeee.

Boy, your reading comprehension is not very good. I said there would be problems, as there always is with a new program. I went on the website yesterday to look for insurance for my sister. I was able to log in and establish an account for her, but I wasn't able to get quotes and such. I'll wait til he rush is over to pursue it. It's kind of like I-phones, everyone wants to be first in line. I have learned to ignore most of the idiotic posts about Obama, because I have discovered that he is so hated by your crowd, Jesus Christ himself could endorse Obama, and you still wouldn't pay attention.

The government has already invaded the examination room. Just ask anyone who needs medications to control their chronic pain! dea thugs are the third party in the examination room and they could care less about who they hurt and the constitutional rights of American citizens!
