Here, I will simplify the issue for you.
There is one group of people that gather around the notion that the US was created, fought for, and developed for the benefit of "me". "I" should be able to get whatever I can from all that work, effort, and wealth creation and should have no obligation (taxes) for anyone else of for the future well-being of others who come later. I certainly have no obligation for the poor, the elderly, the "bums" who don't work as hard as I do have not been so lucky.
There is another group that thinks that the US was founded, fought for, and developed around the concepts associated with "we" and that "We the People" means just that. They understand that what we have today was created by generations that came before us and that we all have obligations in support of the common good. They also understand that the early settlers of this country were fleeing from kings, royalty, and the tyranny of the wealthy to attain a new "equality" for "all of us" - not "some of us" but "all of us".
So, we each can choose.
Check again the faces in the crowds that rallied to Obama. Then check those those that wandered to McCain. See the difference? Is that what scares you?
Tell us. What else is on your resume besides being a Randi Rhodes disciple and being an ACORN organizer? BTW, how many times did you punch your ballot for Algore anyway?

libtard
A combination of 'Liberal' and 'Retard.'

A libtard holds extreme liberal beliefs based on little more than what he or she wants to hear. Most information received will be internally filtered or even changed into something that better fits into their liberal worldview.
libtard of liberal and retard

Libtard
As repetitive as it sounds, it stands for "liberal retard."

A libtard wants to live in a fantasy world (in which life is the way that they WISH IT WAS) as opposed to dealing with life the way it actually is.

(This explains the religious fervor that many of them demonstrate when it comes to smoking pot).

The most idealistic libtard envisions a time when science/technology and Socialism will eliminate all poverty, hunger, war, disease, injustice, unemployment and prejudice.(It is a nice pipe dream but human nature will forever stand in the way of that goal).

Most libtards subscribe to the notion that "people are basically good", and build their foundation for activism and "improving the human condition" on that faulty premise. Because they deny the facts about human nature, their "reasoning" is diametrically opposite to common sense (blue states vs. red states).

The reality that people have different initiative levels, are basically selfish, and often work for their own interests before helping others, puts a libtard's panties in a wad. So, when citizens will not voluntarily comply with various libtard prescriptions for "the common good", then laws must be passed, or force used, to MAKE them comply.(It is the gradual path to totalitarianism).

One of liberal politcal persuasion who wastes their entire lives bitching about president Bush/conservatives/Christianit y, or hunting for an opportunity to do so. Often very loud, uninformed, and annoying. Makes the Democratic Party look bad. Usually found on college campuses.

The opposite of conservatard.
Dude, my professor is such a libtard. I mean, what does calculus have to do with the president?A libtard will often have the same attitudes and pigheadedness of an extreme conservative, and neither side seems to understand the irony.
Jimmy is a libtard. He believes everything documentaries like Farenheit 9/11 say, because it sounds like what he wants to believe.

Republicans say, "Let some big banks fail." Democrats, for some strange reason, seem to have a problem with this .

Ghost Dog. You are sounding more and more like a Republican. LOL

Metaphorically speaking, a libtard is a sheep who thinks that their grasp of diplomatic nuance or metaphysical sensitivity will prevent their flock from being devoured by the world's Islamic/Communist wolves. When America, the sheep dog, responds to wolf attacks, the libtard judges these defensive actions as offensive and wolfish.

language
--world peace (which genocidal dictators define as: "the absence of conflict"--dead men cannot resist your brutal oppression)
--the conservation of the environment over the conservation of humanity

libtard
liberal retard. One of liberal politcal persuasion who wastes their entire lives bitching about president Bush/conservatives/Christianit y, or hunting for an opportunity to do so. Often very loud, uninformed, and annoying. Makes the Democratic Party look bad. Usually found on college campuses.

Reagan, the Bushes and their circle of friends and supporters wanted Globalization, deregulation, no controls or oversight of businesses. They deregulated and didn't insist that the agencies, like the SEC, enforce regulations or oversee what they were required to oversee. First problem was the S&L fraud brought about by Reagan and the Bush family along with McCain's mistress's business partner and family friend, Keating, who employed Neil Bush. Throw in the non-free practices of America's competitor nations that subsidize their competitor businesses that competed with American businesses, the tariffs and quotas they imposed on American goods, the low, low, low wages lack of benefits were unfair practices that helped bring down US industry, stagnant and lower wages, etc. Free market theories are just that, theories and American competitors and even within America, businesses do not compete fairly. How many farm products are subsidized? How many restrictions are there on commodity imports like sugar? America should be about promoting and protecting American industry and jobs and if Mexico or China don't want to meet our standards, then their products should not be allowed in and companies relocating in the US or American companies going overseas should not get incentives, tax breaks or anything. If they can't produce and profit on their own, then, tough, same with banks, they shouldn't be bailed out, another will step up when a big one crashes and will replace it.

No, not literally, he didn't. Figuratively, however, he did. He installed himself into Illinois politics by assassinating all of his political opponents, particularly those from his own party, by challenging their candidacies through the Illinois courts, crushing their campaigns and disqualifying them from running against him. That's pretty mafia-like from my point of view. The ironic part of the whole thing is that he now refuses to verify his qualifications to hold the Office of POTUS....typical liberal fraud.

The title alone shows anger.
The dems and libs have never wanted to work hard to make anything work.

Its always self interest,do what you want,no matter what. No one has to say no, no one has to be
careful,no one is wrong,(that is if,a lib or dem anyway)everyone and everything is right.
No need to save money,no need to have to pay a price for anything...list is never ending.

We are in a mess.To hear Obama and the congress,it is a matter of rushing in anything we can. Don't worry what it means down the road or cost..Just get it in there now!
It may harm things,or cause troubles down the road, but who cares just sign it in!

Most of them never read that stimulus bill.
FreedieMack and Fannie Mae..that was a mistake and the dems..thought that was wonderful help!!!!

Obama cares about them as individuals, and not votes, should excuse themselves from reasonable debate for eternity.

Obama thinks your stupid, and you are proving him right by beating his drum.

The so-called "free market thinking" BS is what has caused the mess we are in.

You're right, GD. It has caused this to be the richest nation in the world with the highest standard of living ever seen. It has caused motivated, intelligent, hard working people to reach heights they couldn't even have imagined. It has caused the introduction of new products and ideas to flood into our economy for years and years. It has caused the price of a refrigerator to go from a month's work to a few days' work. It has caused the entire mess that is the United States of America. You're absolutely correct.

Of course he's a socialist. Any fool can see that. His "spread the wealth" comment to Joe the plumber spoke volumes about this POS and his total lack of character and respect for working people.
I suppose people could come up with many things that wouldn't be good about "socialism" but to say that socialism is lack of respect for working people is crazy, its just the opposite. You don't know what socialism is apparently. Socialism is about workers, capitalism is about the wealthy. I don't think even Republicans would dispute that.

By any sane account, Rush Limbaugh is dead weight when it comes to finding a solution to anything. Like Sarah Palin, his spiritual bride, he lurks in the shadow of the human psyche, expressing the dark anger, resentment, jealousy, and vindictiveness that society can never escape

When Michael Steele, the hapless chairman of the Republican Party, lost his bearings and called Rush Limbaugh's style ugly and incendiary, everyone knew it was the truth. But it was a perfect example of an inconvenient truth. The right wing has long used ugly, incendiary speech the way baseball players use steroids: to artificially pump themselves up. Limbaugh has taken to saying that he wants Obama's policies to fail because they spell the end of an America based on personal freedom. This isn't just a grotesque exaggeration; it disguises the very thing the right wing has been doing when it curtailed civil liberties in the name of national security
