The CBO's report...

http://cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/a...

Word-for-word:

"For some people, the availability of exchange subsidies under the ACA will reduce incentives to work both through a substitution effect and through an income effect."

"Under the ACA, employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees will face a penalty if they do not offer insurance (or if the insurance they offer does not meet certain criteria)...In CBO’s judgment, the costs of the penalty eventually will be borne primarily by workers in the form of reductions in wages or other compensation—just as the costs of a payroll tax levied on employers will generally be passed along to employees."

"Because the supply of labor is responsive to changes in compensation, the employer penalty will ultimately induce some workers to supply less labor."

Happy now? Read that last sentence again first.

First of all, that is not what the article stated.
The number of people listed as receiving some sort of government means tested benefit do not represent half the population.
Second, that number is derived by The Census Bureau counted as recipients of means-tested government programs “anyone residing in a household in which one or more people received benefits from the program.”
So, it counted children, and senior citizens if they resided in a household where at least one person received at least one means tested benefit.
Some people living in that household could be working full time & still qualify for a benefit like food stamps or maybe heat assistance.
The problem with you right whiners is that you are all so uninformed that you run in circles having a fit about something that you do not have the education to understand.
You right whiners keep wanting to elect the same people that fomented the economic disaster under Bush that sent all these people to the unemployment lines & into qualifying for government assistance.
We need to get more people working & working better paying jobs. Perhaps you should talk to your Republican Congressmen & tell them to grow the f*ck up & do something to help fix the mess they made & help this country.
The bottom line is, there are more people receiving benefits than paying for them.
The village idiot can tell you that will fail. Just ask everyone living in Venezuela watching Chavez's support burn the cities because Chavez bankrupted them and there's no more money to give everything to everyone.

Susan Rice Calls Out Conservative Media: It's "Patently False" That Administration Misled On Benghazi
RICE: What I said to you that morning and what I did every day since, was to share the best information that we had at the time. The information I provided, which I explained to you was what we had at the moment, it could change, I commented that this was based on what we knew on that morning, was provided to me, and my colleagues, and indeed to Congress by the intelligence community. And that's been well-validated in many different ways since. And that information turned out in some respects not to be 100 percent correct. But the notion that somehow I, or anybody else in the administration, misled the American people is patently false, and I think that that's been amply demonstrated.

Thick smog is the best defence against US laser weapons, a Chinese military chief has declared on national television.

Zhang Zhaozhong, the Navy Major General for the People's Liberation Army drew massive criticism when he made the statement on CCTV's Haixia Liang'an (Cross-Straits) current affairs programme, adding that lasers were "most afraid of smog".

He said: "Under conditions where there is no smog, a laser weapon can fire [at a range of] 10 kilometres. When there's smog, it's only one kilometre. What's the point of making this kind of weapon?

"It only works when the weather is good. The enemy will target you when the weather is bad.

"CBO’s estimate that the ACA will reduce aggregate labor compensation in the economy by about 1 percent over the 2017–2024 period—compared with what would have occurred in the absence of the act—is substantially larger than the estimate the agency issued in August 2010."

(It goes on...)

"CBO’s 2010 estimate did not include an effect on labor supply from the employer penalty and the resulting reduction in wages (as the costs of that penalty are passed on to workers), and it did not include an effect from encouraging part-year workers to delay returning to work in order to retain their insurance subsidies."

That's the actual report. What am I misreading? Sounds kind of ominous to me.

"Erupting now: perhaps 20
Each year: 50-70
Each decade: about 160
Historical eruptions: about 550
Known Holocene eruptions (last 10,000 years): about 1300
Known (and possible) Holocene eruptions: about 1500
Note that these figures do not include the large number of eruptions (and undescribed volcanoes) on the deep sea floor. Estimates of global magma budgets suggest that roughly 3/4 of the lava reaching Earth's surface does so unnoticed at submarine midocean ridges (see below). "

I love it when an article comes out & how the way right whiners misinterpret it reverberates through their masses.

The models would have included typical volcanic activity including release of greenhouse gases & particulates.

If we have amore than normal/larger than normal activity, then the increased particulates can offset some of the greenhouse effects. But it is temporary.

My God you people are dumber than sh*t.
