Topix, like Facebook, is about over.....Facebook was ok, until it was taken over by females posting endless pictures of their cats, and talking about their doctor appointments, and Topix was ok when the conservatives had a chance to get in a word edgewise with the obama droolers, but with obama in for 4 more years, and the end of civilization as we know it just around the corner, why waste time on topix?

First of all, the vast vast vast vast majority of geothermal heating is NOT done by drilling down to find water hot enough to heat your home.
This shows how ignorant you are on the subject of Geothermal & the temperature of groundwater.
Second, if you heat your home with this mythical hot water, it would be returned cooler. Just like using cool water to cool your home would return water that is hotter.
In both cases, the return water would need to be returned to the original temperature. This is down by the temperature of the earth where the discharge is made. No need for aquifers to return the water to original temperature.
But hey, thanks for the laugh on your version of geothermal heating.
First of all, only you thought I was talking about extracting water, idiot.
To begin an elementary understanding of geothermal HEATING, learn what a conduction system is. Then, learn what a closed system is.

Now, back to what I was initially discussing, the most significant consumer of electrical energy, cooling.
Note, again, the use of a conduction closed system.

Please give yourself at least an elementary knowledge of thermodynamic applications before you ignorantly reply.

And it would help if you actually read the description of geothermal cooling in the post. Where the f**k you got onto geothermal heating, who knows.

Now, apply a closed conduction system as a means of transport of heat from a building to the Earth. Then,.... tell us what will happen if that heat isn't transported to some other goddam place other than directly beneath the building where the ehat came from.

... goddam idiots.

nope I Left on my own terms and seen enough of the Modern Liberal Utopia that has taken hold in Massachusetts but Massachusetts definitely has very large Mentally impaired Modern Liberal Population for sure which they are proud of it even Mitt Romney is proud of it and talked about it during his campaign and Rachel Maddow would know for sure that you were dumber than she is.

Politics in America is the big city Democrats aligned against the rest of the country.

Mitt Romney carried 228 congressional districts and Obama carried only 207.

Blacks, Hispanics and gentry liberals tend to live in densely populated urban areas that are hugely Democratic. You see the same effect on a smaller scale in university towns.

Republican voters are scarce in these areas but more evenly spread around in the rest of the country. You can find many 80 percent Democratic congressional districts. You'll have a hard time finding an 80 percent Republican one.

The only rational assumption from this statement is that two unfunded trumped-up (at least on the books) wars, no bid military-industrial contracts, and a tax cut for the Grumpy Old Prick cronies occur every cycle in the arid Galtgulch...'course, you gotta' figure a guy who names himself from the main character in a book he's never read is not closely related to truth...justice or the American way?

Republicans area dying breed, they need to become more inclusive. Both parties have gone too far left and too far right. The two party system works better when you have a mixture of concervatives and liberals.

Of course Homer as an Independent has both liberal and conservative values, moderation is the key, working together for the common good.

I've only come across maybe 1 or two conservatives on topix in 5 years of posting, I think John 'Nobama' Galt is one when he dials down the rhetoric, with myself and Sonicfilter, Realtime also sharing some conservative ideas on things.

To be clear Homer does not mistake rightwingers for conservatives.
