It seems similar to what happened in Libya but on a lesser level.
Makes no sense that the Western World is arming, funding, training Islamic Extremists and helping them take over countries. I am not saying it isn't happening but it seems illogical to me. Although i predicted years ago that Obama would expand on these actions as Bush started it off.
Why are the west working with those whom they fought against for years in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Western foreign policy is beyond insane.

While we may disagree on some aspects of world politics this is one thing i tend to side with the Arab-Muslim nations even as a Zionist Jew although it does support my agenda as I believe the West is helping Israels enemies to take control of the region.

And why would they do that?

Main reason would be to get at Iran and Hezbollah,it would also give Israel an excuse to go into Syria and claim they have to take out the Wahabi terror threat then they coud grab more land for more Foreign Colonialist settlers.

Max Keiser said it best yesterday. Regarding US recruitment of soldiers. "Come on volunteer, be a hero". This is what the US Government and Corporations sell the kids. In reality, Syria and Iran are not open to US corporations in any meaningful sense. Thus they are targeted. The US military is used to smash any people who are not willing to accept the US corporate economic model.
The kids who buy into the Hero and defender of America will end up just like over 30,000 Iraq vets. Busted up with wounds and mental problems. Nothing was accomplished in Iraq but mass killing. Now the death rates are up as Iraq descends into civil war. Hey, Iraq vets, now you know how the Vietnam generation felt! "Be a Hero" The corporate interests want to get richer, kill Syrians and Iranians for the corporate elite. They will not even thanks you, when you show up at the Vets clinics, they will question why you are burden to the tax payer.

Get this, and get it good, they are liars and killers and only interested in their own personal greed. They call you a hero only as long as you can serve them. But US citizens never learn. Vietnam woke some people up, but time passed and a few new generations came up, lied to and feed propaganda, they were only too ready to invade Iraq. Now they are learning the same lessons all over again.
On to Syria, on to Iran. Good luck, my sources are hinting that Russia told Obama a "no fly zone and invasion by NATO are no goes". He also is said to have hinted at new arms sales to the legitimate government of Syria, the list of proposed weapons reads like a list of Nightmares for Israel and for NATO. Just a few of these modern mobile system will make land and air attacks a deadly business. This is something Israel learned when handily beat up by Hezbollah in Lebanon. The systems Putin threatens to arm Syria with makes Hezbollah's weapons in the Lebanon war look like children's play toys. There is a "Red Line" in Syria, and it is a direct NATO attack on a secular government to support a massive force of Al-Qaeda and Sunni Jihadists from foreign nations claiming to be the FSA.

Syrian forces recently killed 15 Chechen fighters in Syria, a long way from home they were.
But CIA has lots of weapons and transport available for their terrorist army. Nearly 70% of American are against arming terrorists to kill Syrian people. But Obama smells blood, Putin will show him what blood really is. Obama is insane, when the world must rely of Putin to defend Christians and minority religions in the Middle East. Obama is worse than Bush.

America's fate is going in the same direction as Rome, the leaders and elitists have grown corrupt, greedy and violent. They are beginning to resemble the same pathological delusions Hitler once displayed, he invited the wolves and barbarians to the gates, and guess what germany got devoured at the end of the day... The US is over expanding and creating countless enemies, stripping the citizens dry of quality and privilage by waging costly wars while placing them and endless generations in debt, leaving the spoils only to those who waged the wars in the first place whilst making everyone else poorer and weaker...
The US government is steadily reducing the freedoms and capabilities of its people in an effort to some day introduce martial law and create an absolute aristocracy...

If Israel would have wanted to conquer Syria they would have kept S.Syria after the last war. They also were close to Damascus when they stopped moving. Israel could have already taken Syria. But than what? I have never met or heard of anyone in Israel who wants to conquer Syria. Israel just wants to left in peace on a tiny plot of land.

There are many illogical moves by the West. Why did they split up the Middle East as they did in the first place? The borders made no sense, it gave no rights to non-Muslims, minority groups are spread out, look at the Kurds? Iranian Arabs? Seems to be to create chaos IMO.

Now they are doing the same by encouraging extremist control.

Yes, you got it.

The US is working against Israeli interests.

Although some in Tel Aviv are willing to roll the dice along with us. Who knows? "Someone has to win the lottery. Why not me?"

Personally, I think the Gulf states are engaged in another 1972 anti-Israeli campaign, although on the sly.

that didn't happen in just the Near East, the colonial powers did it around the globe. to answer the questionof why they did it that way, they hacked out territories on the map they could control with the resources they had and called those nations or colonies under their flag. the tribes or beliefs of the people included in those made up borders was not a concern, the concern was what territory (and the resources contained therein) could be controlled and protected from other colonizing powers or indigenous peoples...

Well, we're still pretty free compared to many others.

Our legitimate concern should be if a J Edgar Hoover clone ever got to run the NSA.

Ever see the GEICO commercials? "Happy as a Hoover vacuum cleaner sucking up the world's servers" ;-)

The Gulf States overwhelmingly despise Israel! Why would one expect that to change, unless the Palestinian issue was finally resolved?

Are you kidding? Do you read that Egyptian_Lad's posts? He's convinced that any 'non-believer' by his definition should be burned at the stake, irrespective of what he has or hasn't done.

Solving the Palestinian issue would just push this fanatical moron into overdrive.
