Our current system is totally and completely corrupt, and will remain so until we institute SERIOUS campaign finance reform.

Unfortunately, those in charge of reform are the ones needing reforming. Thus, nothing is ever done.

Yet we keep electing and reelecting "those in charge" because they are experts at lying, demagoguery, and convincing the low-information voter that what they say is factual.

White House to miss budget deadline with lots of help
from the Republicans who have been virtually 100%
against anything Obama has tried to do over the last
four years and in the Senate have used the silent
filibuster some 380 times.

Jeez, no wonder nothing gets done, hey!.

Don't forget that they've also rigged the system to support themselves and exclude outsiders. They're always the first to extol their little exclusionary 'two-party system,' too...:)

Obummers OWN budget request last year received NO votes..none, nada, zero even from the democrats. Try to keep up with the rest of us, bozo.

During his brief time in the Senate, President Obama himself played a key role in the Democratic filibuster campaign, helping lead the effort to block the nomination of Leslie Southwick to the Fifth Circuit. Then-Senator Obama also joined Democrat colleagues in voting to filibuster the judicial nominations of Priscilla Owen, William Pryor, Janice Rogers Brown, and Samuel Alito.

There were 152 fillibusters by the republicans in obummers first four years....

During President Bush’s first three years, Senate Democrats forced 19 cloture votes on judicial nominees; during President Obama’s first three years the Senate took only 6 such votes. Indeed, contrary what some Democrats now claim, the reality is that 84 percent of all votes to filibuster judicial nominees in American history have been cast by Democrats. For those same Democrats to claim Republican obstruction is the height of hypocrisy.

380 times??? Keep 'em coming, your hilarious along with your leftist hypocricy.

Refute a post or at least say something intelligent once in awhile to let us know you're not completely brain-dead.

The reality is that Congress is under NO obligation to confirm anyone for anything; but BOTH parties ought to take the job a lot more seriously and not engage in partisan bickering and revenge.

You say it's hypocritical for Dems to claim Republican obstruction - what about Repubs obstructing appointments when they complained about the same thing earlier? Hypocrisy is hypocrisy no matter who does it.

Face it, your party doesn't WANT to govern and doesn't do it well. ALL they can do at present is obstruct, and they do it mindlessly.

ps - Obama can only PROPOSE or SUBMIT a budget, he can't PASS it. At least you admit he's doing his part.

Doing his part..........hmmmm, the house has sent four budget proposals in the last four years to be sat on by Ried.

The demorats had a full blown congress and executive branch which could have passed ANY budget they wanted..........epic fail.

They were too busy forcing the obamacare/tax down our throats which is already causing major problems.

Bush tried to get fannie/freddie under control 7 times which would've prevented a major part of the recession...blocked by Dodd/Frank..

Con each other....not the rest of us..You were conned by Carter, Clinton and now Pelosi and Obama....You were conned by Gore..

Sure as hell goes against your claims of progressive intelligence!

>>It's "Reid" and that has nothing to do with my claim. Obama has submitted the budgets. He can't PASS them. End of story.

>>Obamacare itsself hasn't caused problems, just those trying to evade/defeat/cancel it. Republicans have controlled Congress too, and not gotten much done, either. What's your point?

>>"Seven times," LOL! What a hoot. Fannie and Freddie didn't cause the recession, idiot.
