Only a million dollars? For the Democrats Hoax, Global Warming? The American people don't believe the climate change hoax. I am glad the billionaire can afford to lose his money. It will be fun to watch. Does he really think he can change people's mind after they have been lied to for decades? Today more then ever before Democrats are discovered lying more often then not. Very Simply, he won't have any affect at all on the election. The people want jobs, not global warming.

When the rules are changed, do the democratic candidates have any choice?

How can a party combat the millions put into the GOP without utilizing the same tactics?

I still believe the Citizen United ruling will eventually be stricken down, but for now, the only way to combat fire is with fire.

Besides, did you ever see a GOP politician rally against this ruling? At least democrats have.

Do they have a choice in being hypocrites? yes they do. Thats the issue.

I personally believe all donations should be limited to (just for the heck of it say...)$100. That doesnt include corps, unions or PACs. Only US citizens can donate that certain amount. We have wayyy too many big companies and unions dumping obscene amounts of cash into the political game. For way too long the unions dumped tons of cash into the Dem coffers and when the Repubs figured out a way to get corporations into the game it was the only time Dems started crying.
-
The dems have 2 options as I see it. 1) stop hypocritically bitching about it while blowing away the Repubs in total cash or 2) do something to fix the problem which wont happen because they cant turn down the union cash flow. Here in MA,.you rarely hear a Dem cry about the Citizens Untied finding because all the Dems love union cash. But god forbid a unknown rep runs with cash from a company that they are disconnected and bought and paid for by the big corps. Double standard is double stupid.
-
Anyone from either side should be able to see that "outside" money including Unions has no place in our political machine.$$$ influences way too much and it doesnt matter if you are a D, R or I. A wise man once said, "Cash rules everything around me (C.R.E.A.M.)".

You do have a point my friend.

Problem is everyone talks about these reforms, for over 20 years, including term limits - but no one on either side does shit.

I agree. How do we fix it? 3rd party (not tea Party obviously)? Start electing true Joes off the street (as opposed to those with pedigree and/or fancy doctorates that show they know how to schmooze with the high and mighty elites), term limits (less time in office = less beholden to donations?)? I really dont know.

$100 per citizen, per election, per candidate. I think it makes sense but tell that to those who donate thousands upon thousands. they obviously have much more sway than you and I have whether we are wrong or right.

Are you always this stupid or is this a special occasion?

In politics money is unfortunately the name of the game. Are Democrats supposed to just stand by while the Republicans get all the fat cat money? Big money should not play a role in elections but there is a flaw in our interpretation of the Constitution that allows it to happen. When money can buy an election, democracy dies.

How silly of me. I should have realized that calling us Democrats hypocrites was a compliment.

I'll admit you are an unusual troll. I am too. I await further progress toward having a conversation.

Last election cycle, the Koch bros. spent close top 1/2 a billion - and for all that they lost the White House in a landslide, lost 3 more Senate seats and 9 more House seats.

IT'S A SLAM DUNK !!!!!!

The climate is changing? Really? Of course it is, and has for eons. There is nothing new except Democrats know we won't contribute to their war on poverty much longer, so they have global warming standing by. It is all about conning the American taxpayer. We "gave at the Office" for the poor, and pitiful. That didn't work. all we did was create 5 generations of lazy people who prey on the taxpayer. Now they want us to provide for the redistribution of wealth in the guise of Global Warming. Even Al Gore can't sell it anymore, so they call it climate change. Like the climate has never changed before. Elmer Gantry was not as good as a sleezy con artist as the current Democrats in Congress.

Educated women know who is at war with them. Democrats can have the others. They created them, they can continue using them for their own devices. Funny thing though, most of the Democrats at the TEA meetings, are women. They figured out they were being used long before their men.
