We are defensively counter-attacking.

No.

Cathy (Chick-Fil-A) supports traditional families and a biblical moral standards.

You have selected to believe something different. The two worldviews are mutually exclusive.

You are attacking him and more so his beliefs (and others), calling his beliefs wrong because they are contradictory to yours. You don't get to assign your views to other people.

No. The left does not view the owner of Chick-Fil-A as wrong, but it views him as a bad and evil person. So I guess that extends to the over 70% of the population as well. It would be over 90% if people were not being bullied into submission by this country's corrupt media and Hollywood.
Stamp an issue under the guise of "equal rights" and 20% of the population is bound to take the easy way out rather than stand their ground for what is best for society.

I never have assigned my views to others.

I am calling his actions against fellow citizens to be wrong, not whatever beliefs he may or may not have.

I don't think that you mean to suggest that his views (and possibly yours?) are inimical to the American ideals of plurality and Equality under Law.

At least I hope not.

We did not start this fight. We have been subject to ill-treatment for a very long time.

It's time for it to stop.

It's time.

If it is part of your beliefs that it is your place to oppress others, then I suggest that you reconsider your beliefs and their context in American life.

Hate to break the news to you but some 50% of Americans support Gay marriage or civil unions.

How's your battle against Same sex marriage in Iowa going? Whoops, you already lost that battle.

Our society passes laws that match our moral beliefs.

We have laws that say adults cannot sexually touch minors even if they consent. Do our laws treat these people unfairly or unequally? They do and for good reason.

If you think pedophilia is "wrong" is it ok for them to call you a bigot and pedophilia-phobic, a hater? See, many people are hypocrits in their arguments. They want things to align with their views only. Gays rage for "tolerance" but then are 100% intolerant of conservative views.

You want to allow homosexuality to be freely expressed in society. Many people do not want society to adopt behaviors they find immoral. If you try and force people to change their moral views and replace them with yours, then I think that yes you are trying to "assign" your morals onto others. And I oppose the extremist or militant approach many in the homosexual community take against others.

50% is not accurate, but if it was, that would reflect back to my original point on "equal rights" bullying.
I'm sorry, but I'm not from Iowa. But grass roots organizing will hopefully get that on an amendment ballot. It's sad that a handful of elites in Iowa decide, out of whole cloth, what constitutes marriage. If it stands, it won't stop there. It can't stop there, based on the notion of "equal rights."

So you think equal rights aren't part of our nations success? Got it.

You use our constitution for toilet paper. Perhaps you'd be more comfortable in Iran.

It's not.

The success of our Nation comes from the accomplishments and sacrifices of our ancestors who fought and died to create a new form of government unique to the rest of the world. The laws regulations and morals of this new Nation was based on our Christian beliefs. As we slip away from these principles, our Nation slips away from her former glory.

The intent of our Constitution was never to proclaim that people are free to do what they desire but rather to proclaim that the People are the governing body.

All organizations has the right to set standards, limitations and qualifications in order to become part of it.

These holds true for everyone who wishes to join any organization.

You want special rights by wanting to be accepted in a group that make it very clear that you are not permitted or welcomed.

All 4 of those links including and especially The Boston Globe are far left Pro- Homosexual websites who oddly enough do not state a source for their information.

Here are 2 more reliable news sources who low and behold say something different:

http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/www_usn_2 ...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/30/salv ...

This link highlights the Gay Bullying against The Salvation Army, it's the same thing they are trying to do to Chick-Fil-A, The Boy Scouts and other
Christian organizations. It didn't work with The Salvation Army or The Boy Scouts. Those organizations did better after refusing to give in to the attacks.

Can't take what? You haven't offered anything up!

None of the facts have changed!

You tried to bully The Salvation Army and not only did you not hurt them they did better with donations. The same with The Boy Scouts they stood up to you and did much better with donations.
Now your trying it with Chick-Fil-A!

Lets not forget that your tried to lie and post some far left blogs, so ah, can't take what?

Sorry. There is no "right" to marry whomever you want to.
If there is, which is what you are proposing, then any 2 or more consenting adults should be able to "marry."
For clarity's sake...THAT is what you are driving towards, correct?

Nope, we're too old for the Boy Scouts, we just want them to treat all children and adults. With dignity and respect.

The rest of yor comments would also fit Country and Golf clubs who refused black and Jewish members. That America you ilk misses so much.

Sorry. I answered my own post.
To continue, "gay marriage" will not be a cog in our nation's success. Constitution-made toilet paper has been swimming to the treatment plants of every state that has been bullied into this unneeded redefined version of "marriage."
Every state that has it is closer to Iran than the ones that don't have it.

Odd, Iran is a state run by over-the-top religious zealots who are incredibly freaked out by any religious beliefs other than their own; a state which prohibits same sex marriage and laws which call for death for those who engage in anything considered to be same sex sexual behavior, a state where gay men have been coerced into sex change operations in order to avoid detection for being gay. That kind of theocratic nightmare sounds more like the wet dream of some states which now prohibit same sex marriage than the states which allow the right.

Why not? You want my taxes and our government to discriminate the Boy Scouts Constitutional Rights that had already been affirmed by the Supreme Court.
