Typical CEO made $9.6 million last year, AP study finds

The head of a typical public company made $9.6 million in 2011, according to an analysis by The Associated Press using data from Equilar, an executive pay research firm.

Of course, he/she did. While the rest of the company, including its other workers, are being penny-pinched to death (did you work 15 minutes of overtime today!?!?!?!?) the ever growing layers of management are living like kings and queens.

While they are hiring managers to count how many pieces of copy paper are used in a day, the real workers are taking on 2 or 3 positions because the company won't hire people to do real work.

While the company claims it can't give anyone a raise this year, every six months the executives get nice, fat incentive bonus.

While they tell the workers "be grateful you have a job", the executives are spending money on fancy office furniture, vacations paid for as 'conferences', and fancy wining and dining.

They don't care about the company. If they did, they'd care about those who work there, not just themselves.

What's amazing is that the Obamas entered the White House and 3 and a half years later are worth $10,000,000+ and Michelle isn't even working!

Obama's investors need to tell the rest of the public how to invest our money so that it grows like the Obamas' income.

Ofcourse, when you have the State Department of the USA buying Obama's books, that increases his income.

How come the American taxpayer is paying the Obamas twice? First-his presidential salary and second-income from 'his books' that taxpayers fund when the State Department uses taxpayer money to buy the books.

Money represents energy. "Rich" people don't eat any more than anyone else, but they do allow for refined and capable cooks in refined and capable restaurants. They also hire the many capable contractors, who in turn hire the most capable carpenters, tile setters, etc., who are paid more than others because they are more capable. These examples go on and on... Further, the money left over after supporting all the people supporting their lifestyles goes into investments, which means the money represents energy in a system supporting the retired, the ill, the 50% of people not paying taxes. Leftists don't understand how money works and won't admit in every single one of their Leftist economies, everyone ends up diminished, parasitic and dressed in the same drab costumes.

PLENTY!!! Several years ago, Oracle laid off thousands of people. At the same time CEO Larry Ellison had a helipad installed on his 200 million dollar yacht.

I doubt they cut us jobs to be evil, I am sure they are just trying to stay competitive in business. When it comes to jobs we have more power in how we spend our money than Washington does. It is not always cheap to buy american but it really makes a difference when you do. Corporations know what we buy and if we turn our noses up at things made in china the very greed you talk about will bring more US jobs.
