<quoted text>You have had some bad experiences with mental health professionals. That must have made you angry. Can you tell me a little more about that?
Only that one actually. I have been lucky you might say to have very down to earth doctors since the mid seventies. I am definitely not an angry person truthfully. That said, my moods at times betray me. Its a bit like an out of body experience...I can see what I am doing or how I am "behaving" but I can't change it. I do however try to make amends quickly most of the time. I think it is obvious that I am opinionated. But I do try to be respectful of others opinions. I am not always successful :) In many ways having bipolar disorder has allowed me to experience life a bit different than had i been "normal". One day, if I ever finish it, My book should make an interesting read. Its been one hell of an endless roller coaster ride! I would be glad to talk more (my wife tells me i talk too much) if you want to hear more.

If you don't like the posts, feel free to scroll. Otherwise, piss off.
I could post more examples but why bother..like I have said, Bitner and you are playing God by judging me based on a few "triggered" responses. I know who I am and what kind of person I am. Your judgements are false and baseless. yes, I used "filth" as you call it. Bitners "filth" was to make personal judgements against me about things she had no facts about. I am not making excuses at all..actually I have decided to not follow this post any longer. It triggers my bipolar disorder. I do want to thank you LadiLulu for helping me to realize that. cya ladies.
I asked questions. If you can't handle questions about your motives and actions, then no, you shouldn't be here.

<quoted text>Being a counselor doesnt make you a good person either. Does it? How do you define relevant training? Who are you to say I am NOT qualified? By who's measure? Jumping thru the hoops of the educational system? Passing a test that anyone with reasonable intelligence could pass? Elise, your opinion is duly noted. However, you know nothing about me, my experience, those that I have helped, how I counsel or my many accomplishments. Would references or testimonials ease you concern? I can provide them. Your comment about being "dangerous" is based on what? Experience? Following what others tell you? There are many dangerous people with multiple degrees and accolades. Many of them claim to be men of God. Plenty are in politics. I still remember a young psychiatrist basically tell me to shut up, that I was not capable of determining my own mental health and would not allow me to discuss medications..."He was the Doctor and only he could determine my mental health". I "fired" him on the spot. Our educational system today does not teach children or young people to think outside the box. Its all about test scores,no child left behind and pushing kids out the door to maintain funding. Can you dispute that?
By whose measure? By any professional measure. Without training, you are not a counsellor. Period, good intentions or no. Amatures do more harm than good. Your bad experience with one professional doesn't justify that.

The reason that I like this proposal, like I said yesterday, is that neither side is required to give a "referral". All that is required is to give the link to the Dept of Health and Hospitals. Abortion "clinics" should not be required to provide referrals to CPC's and CPC's should not be required to give referrals to abortion "clinics".
Having both sides tell women about the other sides options would be logical, and a very good idea. That being the case, it probably won't happen.

Hey I got an Idea. If I just agree with everything you say will you shut up? I am a horrible person, my God I have destroyed lives because I wasn't "trained" to your standards! I should be burned at the stake at a wiccan ceremony! Geez Bitner give it up, nothing changes the past. Do you honestly think that your opinion matters? Well It don't. Sorry but that is reality. Deal with it.

The problem is, so many CPCs have been caught engaging in deceptive practices. Often they are staffed with unqualified people who are not medical professionals, and erroneous information is given to the potential client.

I have absolutely no problem with educating women and girls,, as long as it is *factually* correct and provided by someone who is certified to provide said information.

I'm stating facts. Untrained people are not qualified to be 'counsellors' and often do more harm than good.

If you don't care about my posts, feel free to ignore them. I will post to whom, and what I like. Stop whining like a little girl, and deal with it.

Yes, I have hit a nerve with you, definitely. You're the one getting all worked up.

No, I will not 'shut up'. Like I said, if you can't take the debate, leave. Otherwise, stop whining like a little girl and deal with it.

Exactly.

And he complained that you told him to "piss off", so he felt justified in posting filth to you.

The boy needs to develop a thicker hide.

Can you imagine someone that "sensitive" trying to "counsel" pregnant women? What if the "counseling" was unwelcome and she tells him to take a hike? Will he call her a skank and a wh---? And question who would have sex with her anyway?!?!

When have men ever been counselors at clinics? It's not something I've encountered or ever heard of in my life... Doesn't sound legit to me..

Its all about being "right" and getting in the last word with you. You will never stop as long as i don't bow to your superior intelligence. That will never happen. just keep thinking you have had any other effect on me except knowing you have a serious problem with communication. I find you amusing and nothing more. Why not just ignore me? I will bet you can't. your ego won't allow you.

I never said i was nor have I ever been a counselor at any clinic. Scroll back and read up. And anyways why can't a man be a counselor at an abortion clinic. Maybe you don't believe in equality of the sexes?

Nonsense. You got quite worked up.

I don't ignore you, because I'm not afraid of honest debate. It's that simple. It's obviously my posts that bother you, so you're the one who needs to ignore, not me.

I am right. Amatuers pretending to be 'counsellors' often do more harm than good. Besides which, we were talking about now, not forty years ago. Suggesting that in this day and age women, even young women, don't know about Social Services, food stamps, Medicaid, church and secular charities, or any of a number of places to seek help, is ridiculous.

Not in this case.
