The government needs to pick its priorities.

1) Go after ONE GUY who is giving free range to his cattle on government land (meat which we eat, which is getting even more expensive).

OR

2) Gather up and DEPORT Mexican nationals who enter our country, put a strain on public services (schools, clinics, police, etc), take OUR jobs, increase violence in our neighborhoods and drop anchor babies all over the place.

Is the government being benevolent or malevolent to its OWN people? Are they part of the problem OR part of the solution?

Cliven Bundy is a thief. Other ranchers who pay grazing fees to the federal government should hang this jerk by the tail until he pays up.

Letting a crackpot like Bundy get away with this would set a precedent which our country could not tolerate.

Sure.

Pick on ONE lawbreaker who is actually CONTRIBUTING to society and TAKE money from him and GIVE it to people who are NOT contributing to society.

Unfortunately, that makes PERFECT sense to many people.

.... Until the government comes after THEM !!

You believe that one of the "unalienable rights" is stealing from the collective to benefit one's self?

how is stealing a million dollars of our national treasure contributing to society? hter eis no shortage of meat in this nation...
other ranchers actually buy land for their use.

it is time for the BLM to charge fair market rates to ALL ranchers who graze on OUR lands...subsidizing this industry needs to end...

Gather up and deport?

By the end of the Obama administration the federal government will have
gathered up and deported some 3,000,000 illegals. More than any other
administration.

Speaking of government being malevolent to its own people:

A majority of Republican governors and state legislators, driven by relentless political opposition to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), have rejected billions in federal funding, denied millions needed health care and consigned thousands to premature death by refusing to extend Medicaid to their own residents.

Governors and lawmakers in 25 states who rebuff federal support to expand state Medicaid programs to 4.8 million low-income people under the ACA are sacrificing thousands of lives and pushing away enormous economic development opportunities that come with $426 billion in direct funding over 10 years, according to a new report by Health Care for America Now.

Leave it to Mr. Wolf to defend the Goverment in this case. He would have us believe that this 'stealing' as he calls it, would pay off our national debt when its collected? Well Mr. Wolf it won't and you can't. But you keep voting for people as Barack Hussein Obama, and Joey(Hairplugs)Biden, who spend us into oblivion, and you say Whoopee.... There is one thing I'm sure of, the United States cannot pay for anymore views as these pikers have?

I guess you're unwilling to fire Republican liars too. I don't blame you. That would leave about two of them.

I think this says a whole lot about where America is right now. Pretty sad

Thomas Jefferson
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?

Most bad government has grown out of too much government

http://www.ardmoreite.com/article/20140421/NE...

A recent poll of 1,000 likely U.S. voters showed 37 percent fear the federal government, while 54 percent consider the federal government today a threat to individual liberty rather than a protector and 22 percent see the government as a protector of individual rights, and that’s down from 30 percent last November. Slightly more 24 percent are now undecided.
Two-out-of-three voters (67 percent) view the federal government today as a special interest group that looks out primarily for its own interests. Just 17 percent disagree, while 15 percent are undecided.

Cite the source of this poll. I'd like to see how the questions were asked.

The link you gave me does not answer the questions I asked. I want to know who conducted the "recent poll", what was the sample makeup, and how were the questions framed. Otherwise you are asking us to trust your results and the uninformative generalizations of the publication you cite.

I'm not necessarily saying you are knowingly giving bogus information, but my considerable experience with Topix contributors has taught me to bring a serving of skepticism to the table.
