Almost anywhere you look, all over the globe, todays countries once belonged to another group or people. That has absolutely no bearing on borders today.

In todays world, countries have sovereign rights, and some of those rights allows governments to implement many rules, regulations and all sorts of taxes upon citizens, in exchange for the privilege of living within their borders.

For the general welfare of all its citizens, these governments also reserve the right to decide who may or may not live within their borders. It also allows governments to decide how many newcomers can be absorbed without stretching the common resources or economy to the point that a negative impact will ensue and be suffered by all. In fact, it is incumbent upon governments to protect their citizens by assuring that there is enough to go around.

The issue with illegal immigration isn't about where these people come from or what their ethnicity is. It's about living here outside of the laws, regulations, labor and tax laws. It's about overcrowding the schools to which they don't contribute, putting greater burden on those who do, taking jobs for which they have no right to take and many others need, working cheap and not paying their fair share of the bills, of driving on our roadways and highways without proper licensing and usually without the insurance that's supposed to protect all of us from financial harm in the event of an accident or injury. It's about overburdening our medical facilities and hospitals, seeking treatment and help for which they don't pay, and putting still more financial burden on those who do pay, or causing those hospitals or caregivers to close their doors.

A few million living outside the system can be absorbed, but tens of millions doing the same is creating a negative impact on all of us.

America's greatest asset and strength is our diverse culture and people. This country is made up of the world, and though many got off to a bumpy start, they eventually become part of the fabric and the culture through common laws and a singular language and culture.

That was the native's greatest weakness...they were not a single, united people, but regional groups separated by different languages and cultures. A house divided cannot stand.

That's why it matters.

What a surprise. Amnesty for illegal immigration a possibility and the 3rd world flocks to the land of milk and honey to participate in the everything is free mentality. The newest impoverished illegal immigrants will continue to take jobs from native Americans; especially negros who already suffer the highest unemployment rate in the country thanks to the policies of their hero, B. Hussein Obama. A classic case of hurting oneself by proxy.

Excellent analysis, Sir. The Progressives are willing to turn the country into a cesspool in order to remain in power. Little do they know that their power is about to be usurped by the parasites.

Are you so uneducated and unskilled that illegals compete for your employment? Shame on you. Go to school or learn a trade. Stop complaining and take responsibility instead of being a cry baby.

Is it any wonder, Nappy just about passed out road maps noting the safest entry points and where to flop until they were able to find a job to steal from an American.

I suggest you educate yourself on this subject. These greedy employers are only hiring illegal aliens because they work cheaper and it increases their profits. It has nothing to do with the American worker not being skilled. Illegals are taking blue-collared American jobs. These are trades that Americans have learned already. So WTH are you talking about? Americans should learn a different trade and give up the jobs they love to illegal aliens so the rich can get richer? It is YOU that should be ashamed of yourself!

Wrong! The so-called Native Americans migrated here just like everyone else did. They didn't just sprout up out of the ground like corn. In today's modern world borders have been drawn and immigration laws implemented. What does having different people here have to do with our right to enforce our immigration laws? All citizens of any race or ethnicity have a right to be here. Illegal aliens do not. Deal with it!

WTH does any land owned by Mexico hundreds of years ago have to do with today? They no longer own any of the USA through treaties that were signed and monies paid for the land to them. Mexicans belong in Mexico unless they apply legally to come here. Do you allow your neighbors to move into your house just because they want to? Mexico doesn't allow U.S. citizens to live in their country without applying to come there legally. Educate yourself on this subject as you are clueless.

Hey swift one, they are Americans. This might not occur to you but we live on the American Continent. Get out of the trailer park once in awhile.
America may be continent but the U.S. is a country. The common term for U.S. citizens is "American" so stop the stupid spin. I don't know of one Mexican that calls themself American. They refer to themselves as Mexican because that is the country they hold citizenship in. There is no citizenship to an entire continent so you are grasping at straws now.

Trailer park? Typical pro-illegal who has no viable argument so you resort to childish insults.
