Why does the headline read "ex-prosecutor arrested" when this guy has not been a prosecutor for over 20 years? Why should his arrest be associated with practicing prosecutors everywhere. Why does it not read "practicing defense lawyer arrested for bribery"?

When I was attending Ball State, I quickly learned from many people (not just my peers, but their parents and relatives) who had been raised in and around Muncie that almost all of the politics around there are corrupt. The funny thing was that EVERYONE seemed to know about it, and it wasn't a big deal. I know these guys aren't big time politicians, but it's good to see someone in the legal system actually get busted for some shady business.

TWO POINTS:

[1] This is another example of media bias. The headline refers to Alexander as an ex-prosecutor. If he played little league as a child, they could have reported that an ex-little leager was arrested. They can refer to him as an "ex" whatever, but they chose "prosecutor" to sensationalize the story. Makes me ill.

[2] We can see the defense of Hinds already shaping up. It appears that he is claiming that the reporter's "mama" committed the crime. Note to reporter: Just because some moron says something doesn't mean that you have to report it. What purpose does that serve. Makes me ill.

Look at that fat ba*tard and all his tattoos ... two sets of handcuffs to handcuff him?! Has he been eating his clients or what? What's it take to be a private investigator these days, a pulse?

Let me begin by saying that I'm proud to be out of Muncie...or "Little Chicago" as it was so named because of it's corrupt politics. Pete Mason's comment is only HALF true: everyone does, indeed, know about the corruption. However, to many it IS a BIG DEAL! It was to me and my family, and it was to most of the people that I knew when I lived there. But, nothing ever changes. What are the people of Muncie supposed to do? As the old saying goes... "you can't fight city hall". And that's the way it is in Muncie, Indiana!

It is good, Pete, to see someone in the legal system get busted for shady business. But that's as far as this will go...rest assured! These guys will walk...wait and see. Jeff Hinds has killed a man for God's sake!...and walked. Why? Because the Delaware County prosecuter at that time was a former PARTNER with Mick Alexander, with whom Hinds was employed at the time of the MURDER. Remember this everyone? Hinds was involved in a confrontation with this man, who was accompanied by his 14 year old son at the time, in a parking lot of a law office downtown Muncie. Words were exchanged and Hinds punched the guy (who, by the way, weighed 130 pounds - Hinds, a Black Belt in martial arts, tipped the scales at around 300 lbs). The guy dropped to the ground DEAD! Was Hinds ever charged?...NO. Because?...the conclusion was that the victim "died when his head hit the ground...not by the punch thrown by Hinds". And I'm not kidding...look it up. THAT was the conclusion, and Hinds was NEVER charged with anything. A man was killed in front of his 14 year old son and justice has NEVER even knocked at that family's door. I've known of Jeff Hinds for over 20 years. He is a street thug!...and nothing more. He met Alexander when he was teaching Karate, and Alexander's son was taking classes at the facility. THAT'S IT! Hinds has no law enforcement background, probably never even graduated from High School because he's dumber than the day is long. Look at the comment he made to the reporter: "your mama". The guy is a criminal walking freely amongst the people of Muncie because of his association with a prominent defense attorney...who, by the way, is NOTORIOUS for getting guilty people OFF...remember Randy Musgrove..anyone?

Bottom line: Hinds should have already been in prison for murder. Mick...well...he's too crafty to let the law catch up with him.

Don't think for one moment this is an isolated story. DA's are politicians and politicans are mostly dishonest. How many innocent people are rotting in jail because of dishonest DA's?

"Rest of the World"... you're showing your hand! YOU must be a DA...or Prosecutor? Your bias is obvious! Are you going to deny that there are over-zealous prosecutors in this country? What about the Duke Lacrosse players? THAT DA has faced charges himself...correct? Is THAT an isolated incident? HARDLY!! You know absolutely NOTHING about this episode, and are...consequently...not qualified to weigh in. I will say that you make a valid point when you argue that the media headlines "X Prosecutor"... Mick is a defense attorney and has been for over 20 years. The idea that they label him as an X-prosecutor is, indeed, aggravating. But don't be so obvious with your undying loyalty to the politics of this... it's a much deeper issue. There are MANY people falsely imprisoned because an over-zealous prosecutor needed to 'make someone pay'. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise; but you're not fooling us!

You know, you are right. I forgot about the Duke prosecutor. That is one that we know about. Now, since there are probably more than 10,000 prosecutors in this country, then we have an epidemic of corrupt prosecutors. In fact, I am sure that we have the highest number of corrupt prosecutors than any other county in the world. For instance, there is the Duke prosecutor, and then there's, ah, ah... well, anyway, I am sure that there are many, many more. Let me guess -- either you or a loved one was wrongfully convicted by one of those many, many corrupt prosecutors - probably for DUI. Am I right? C'mon now, tell the truth. You only had two beers probably.
