You are exactly right.

Imagine the audacity of audacity. What I can not figure out is why our lord and savior the messiah, the Obama, has not raised his mighty hands and commanded the Georgians not to defend their country from the good and nice and wonderful Russians. I mean, the Georgians are an ally of the United States, so they must be wrong, right ? After all, all the evil in the world is caused by the United States according to B. Hussein Obama.

Please, the almighty Obama, save the wonderful Russians from the evil Georgians.

As I said, the audacity of audacity: Obama

Shouldn't you be listening to your false prophets, Bill Clinton and John Edwards. And then the real false prophet himself: his almighty worshipfulness, the lord and savior, B. Insane Obama !

Congratulations on picking the lowest common denominator for your candidate.

Dear fool - I am not an Obama supporter and definately not a democrat. I do find it quite comical (and annoyingly foolish) that all of the nut jobs like yourself and "Jim Says anything" insist on parroting Limp-Baugh with this lord and saviour b.s. Stupidity offends me whether it is the "Bush/McCain are twins" cr*p or yours.

The real reasons to be concerned / cautious about both candidates are real enough. But apparently making sh** up is less taxing for the mentally impaired than worrying about real issues.

Bad news Jim - Danica has informed me that I am a democrat and Obama supporter (and I'm sure she would know better than I would). I'm really not sure that I can deal with this news without a glass of wine - but since she has also informed me that I am not offended by stupidity perhaps she'll join me for a drink...

Good post.

Rare to see any real restraint or measured responses on Topix.

Danica is working very hard to convince us that Obama somehow wants the Georgians to lie down and give up their country. Does ANYBODY else, lib or con, believe that one??

I've often thought it would be funny (and instructive) if the media reported a statement made by XX when it was really made by YY.

As an example - if W or McCain were quoted as calling for restraint and UN comdemnation Rush, Danica & Jim would either remain silent or praise their leadership and appropriate "measured" response (while many Democrats would mock the statements as naive). Of course if Obama referred to us all as "my friends" every time he spoke I'm sure that Danica would scream about that - after all, what is more audacious than assuming such familiarity?(oops - I guess I shouldn't have invited her for a drink?):-)

Actually you are more correct than not here. The talking heads and media run around supporting whatever stupid things their candidates say. This of course happens on both sides, most haven't a clue anyway.

Barack Obama is not a muslim for goodness sake. if i see one more person write or say that i will explode. there are things that a pastor say the some of the church goers do not agree with. just because he was there does not mean that he is agreeing with Mr. Wright so just breathe people and judge him for what he believes in.

Fully agree! I am shocked with how empty Obama's speeches are, and how little sense they make.
I also cannot understand how it happenned that white-collar, high-IQ people support Obama. I am academics myself, and a lot of my colleagues favor him. But they cannot give any solid argument about why he's a good candidate, apart from the statement that "electing Obama will reduce the bitterness of the black in this country". It is probably true, but do we want to pick a president based on this criteria????
The country is in recession, this is a very bad time to raise taxes on producers, make redistribution number one priority, and throw our efforts into expensive investment in R&D that will pay off decades from now.
Obama appeals to the young who see him as new and hip and most 18-25 year olds dont make $250k or have a mortgage, kids, etc. so they buy his rich are evil line. The black vote is a given and i think the white collar professionals are mostly from the big cities Chicago, NY, boston, LA who tend to be somewhat more elitist and probably associate with his worldly air and ivy education (also they can unload their long held white guilt and show how sophisticated they are. Then there are the super rich who feel guilty about making so much and dont mind the higher taxes. People like Oprah and Warren Buffet who have little grasp on reality. Obama made $3 mil from his book last year, wife's salary is over $300k, lives in a million dollar + house in Hyde Park, sends his kids to one of the most exclusive private schools in the city and probably pays for very little out of his own pocket. 250k may seem like a fortune in Iowa but does not go very far in Chicago.

To your point, I still think that there are a large number of Clinton supporters who have more in common with mccain than obama and that make make the difference in november

Also Agree. This board attracts some of the stupidest, ignorant people and comments and despite what many of the liberals claim, both sides have their fair share.

Yet here we are defending our positions against ignorant cut and paste, talking point spewing idiots who half the time dont even seem to understand what they are posting. Amazing how many people can misuse or make up data to support their case and it is obvious that they dont care if you call them out on it or prove them false.

No one would stay in a church and had their children attend for 20 years when the pastor is spouting out anti-American, Marxist, and race hate unless they agreed with him. There is no way to try to paint this any way but the reality that for Obama to be there for 20 years, to take his daughters there, that he too is anti-American, Marxist, and racist, there is no other reasonable explanation.

That is absolutely true. The lack of knowledge of the basics of economics, history, civics, and current events is staggering to see. It is like watching Leno street-walking with attitude on these threads. I have often said that this medium often either brings out the worst in people, or the worst of people.

Obamas tired of talking about his mentor, than lets talk about issues, like his stance on KILLING BABIES.
Not only is Barock the most pro-abortion member of the Senate, with his straight A+ report card from the National Abortion Rights Action League and Planned Parenthood. He supports the late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion, the baby must be turned inside the womb because law says this can only be done to breech babies.(HOW SICK ARE THESE DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS)?...(1) inducing a breech delivery with forceps,(2) delivering the legs, arms and torso only,(3) puncturing the back of the skull with scissors or a trochar,(4) inserting a suction curette into the skull,(4) suctioning the contents of the skull so as to collapse it,(5) completing the delivery. A partial breech delivery is not considered a "birth" at common law, where it is the passage of the head that is essential.
Thank God Busch and the republican house past law stopping this procedure.
Before we put obama in office, think long and hard, because with a LIBERAL house and senate, and obama in the white house, Babies will be murdered again. And I'm not talking about aborting a group of embryonic cells, I'm talking about babies that could live outside the womb! Please research all of this.

Don't worry, acting President B. Insane Obama has commanded American Troops to go to the aid of Russia and help it defeat Georgia. Acting President Obama told the troops to head to Atlanta immediately ! Now Obama only has 56 more states to defeat.

Obamas state and hometown of Chicago, Murder and gun attacks soared under Barack Obama's FAILED Senate leadership, During the first four months of 2008, 134 murders were committed in Chicago. In comparison, according to icasualties.com , a total of 160 Americans were killed in all of Iraq during the same period. Barack Obama is running a campaign based upon the need for change, and there is nowhere in our country that needs Change more than the area he already (FAILED) represents as a current Untied States Senator. Do we want Obamas failed change stratagy across the entire Country? The murder rate in Chicago is consistently one of the highest in the nation. According to the chicagotribune.com article, "Some units have already been taking to the streets on weekends in battle dress..." It is interesting that armed, militia style police officers are now patrolling Chicago, not unlike the soldiers that Obama so badly wants to bring home who are patrolling Baghdad half a world away. Obama may be correct that the soldiers in Baghdad should be home. If that happens, it might be wise to move them into Chicago to take the city back from the gangs who are killing almost as many Americans as the war in Iraq. Perhaps obama may back a SuRGE in the state he Failed. Why is no one questioning the lack of results that Obama has achieved in his own district? While he makes television appearances, criminal citizens of his home city fill the streets every night armed to the teeth and have Wild West style shoot-outs. Obamas gun laws only stop non-criminals from carrying a self defence weapon.. Obama has criticized Bush for the results in Iraq and rightly so. Obama say we took our eye off afghanistan for Iraq. Perhaps Obama took his eye off Chicago,Ill. by leaving his constituants unrepresented. Should Obama then be held to the same standard in Chicago with his failed policies? Maybe I'm being to harsh on a person that only spent 120 days in office before abandoning his senate post

The state of illinois is use to no one representing them. Look at what Dick "the Turbin" Durbin has done for the residents of illinois.......... Yep, that is what he did for them.

Why would anyone expect Obama to do anything for them. The residents of illinois are democrat sheep that have been led to the slaughter and they are smiling. Go figure. Also, look what all Gov. Goblowyourbitch has done. When he is done with them, they will thank him for stopping the beating he has been giving them.

democrats and pain, they just go together.
