I asked you that because Rand Paul is actually quite conservative on social issues (anti-abortion, for fetal personhood, anti-gay marriage), and I know that you're more liberal on those issues.
Umm..don't call me a liberal..that is a dirty word. How about..more oriented for personal liberty?

Have you forgotten that we went to war to secure "freedom and democracy" for other countries, all the while deteriorating ours here at home.(aka SOPA, NDAA, FIA, Patriot Act..etc ) Helpful hint..when the congress names an act..just consider the total opposite.

What should the GOP do, then?
there is nothing they really can do since they were the ones that proposed what has become to be known as Obamacare to begin with but I think the GOP should go and repeal the McCarran–Ferguson Act which exempts the business of insurance which at the time in 1945 when the law was enacted it was to benefit the Health Insurance Industry mainly from most federal regulation, including federal antitrust laws to a limited extent which essentially allows the Health Insurance Industry to operate freely like a Monopoly at the state level that other Industries dont have that ability otherwise the Federal Government would enforce Anti-Trust Law like the Sherman Anti-Trust Act to go after monopolies.

McCarran–Ferguson Act

The McCarran–Ferguson Act, 15 U.S.C.§§ 1011-1015, is a United States federal law that exempts the business of insurance from most federal regulation, including federal antitrust laws to a limited extent. The McCarran–Ferguson Act was passed by Congress in 1945 after the Supreme Court ruled in United States v. South-Eastern Underwriters Association that the federal government could regulate insurance companies under the authority of the Commerce Clause in the U.S. Constitution.

I don't know if you've read my qualms about the insurance industry but I cannot give a non-biased opinion on the matter. Sorry.

They suck and never "insure" IMO they are like casinos...they don't like to lose..but sometimes in life..you lose. Banks fail..etc. If you lose you lose. PERIOD. Sometimes insurance needs to pay. PERIOD. Sometimes businesses like banks lose..and guess what...YOU LOSE..close up shop..PERIOD. but nooooo with our bailout type society and too big to fail mentality we are doomed. This is why China is taking us over. If we say NO, it's a maybe. NO ..you lose and that's it.

OMG...cypress confiscates peoples money directly from their bank via a "tax". Look out America, time to take your money out of the hands of banks and bury it in your back yard.

I feel sorry for my cyprian brothers and sisters who thought their money was safe in the hands of the greedy bankers.

Oh well, you should've kept your govt in check. I was starting to get jealous of those 30 hr work weeks and mandatory paid time off. Time you guys paid your debts.:) I feel bad for ya though.

Their money was safe in the banks but the EU want their money now, it is they that said tap all of those saving accounts for 10%.
Damn you really are a softy at heart, I bet you can't sleep at night thinking about those poor folks. They have been on the take for what seems like forever, the bubble has had to bust some time and maybe with some luck the EU will do down with them. The island and Greece are one and the same.
They are ginning up for peace talks with the rags way down south here and I think so far in the last two weeks 7 or 8 people have been killed, it's the rags way of showing that they really want to end all of this. Because it is a religion of love and peace, ask obama.

Hey..Let's not forget I'm "LENDING" you my money and you make more money with it. Nothing more nothing less. When I want it back with interest you better pay or I'm going looking for you. However, the definition of banking has changed.. Now it's you take my money without my approval and change the rules at your whim...I think not.. Time for revolution. I do not blame my EU brothers and sisters for being somewhat mad. Lucky they have gun control I guess.

As far as being on the take..yes they are accustomed to "living la vida loca" with entitlements. However, that does not give any govt a reason to confiscate/tax the money you voluntarily deposit with them.

I say take to the streets my brothers, get your money back.

The neoc0ns are on the run. Neocon RINO Sen. John McCain, fresh from one of those inside-the-beltway, establishment highbrow luncheons with President Obama, felt compelled to take the floor of the senate the day after the filibuster and insult his fellow Republican senator, saying Sen. Paul's fillibuster was “pulling a political stunt to fire up impressionable libertarian kids sitting in their dorm rooms,” and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Sen. Lindsey Graham said much the same. And one of the godfathers of neocon thought, Bill Kristol, essentially closed the deal with his op-ed which dismissed Sen. Paul as “a representative of the code pink faction of the Republican Party.”

This is why you lose. Face it neohawks..your days are numbered. It's time to put freedom and liberty on the agenda. Forget your stupid social issues. That is why you lost and will continue to lose. Take advantage of the young republicans coming up your ranks and learn to appreciate and interpret freedom for what it is. You may not like it ala Rick Santorum style but you have to go back to Goldwater style conservatism..or you WILL lose. <that is all>

You didn't answer the statement directly. While I agree we neglected our own, we shouldn't have been there in the first place.

In other news..our broke a$$ country is giving 211 million dollars to israel. WTF! We are friggin broke and giving millions of dollars away. It's time we cut off their welfare tab.

I have no heart burn over the fact that we should have never gone into Libya and there is no way or no reason, should we go into Syria. Yes, we are broke and yet we fund items like pottery classes in Morroco, monitary aid to every country including Russia, give away aircraft to Egypt along with 250 mil. I'm sure that there are things that we fund that I don't know about and more boondoggle trip by people in government. I do agree, pull out of NATO, stop all aid, and cut off all welfare at home, I wish some MF would give me 99 weeks of unemployment. The exchange rate just went to 29 to the dollar, when I came here it was 42 to the dollar. He and his merry men have to go and soon, by any means!

I agree. With the exception of some humanitarian aid, we shouldn't be giving anyone foreign aid IMO.
