<quoted text>Check out the book, CONSERVATISM AND RACISM, AND WHY IN AMERICA THEY ARE THE SAME by Professor Robert C. Smith. You're onto something no matter how much rightwingers--negro and caucasian--in Topix tries to deny it. Racism does cut across the American political spectrum: Right, Left and Center. But the most militant, stubborn, persistent and combative forms of racism have always come from the RIGHT. The left or center-left, whatever its many flaws, have been the main source for the opposiiton to racism and injustice.
Even now, right wing Republicans (like the rightwing Dixiecrats of yore) are trying to disfranchise black and latin voters with new restrictive require=ments---just as did the Dixiecrats in the post-Reconstruction period. Right now, Republicans reactionaries have lawyers in the Supreme Court trying to repeal or at least gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Of course, ASSdurratin knows nothing about this...or maybe he SUPPORTS it. Ask Aisling or Raptor are THEY opposed to the effort to kill the Voting Rights Act or the new voting requirenents which created all that chaos in Florida this past November.
And no matter how you slice it, it was the the liberals or those left-of-liberal who bombed our homes and churches in Alabama and Mississippi. You were much more likely to be lynched by reactionary racists such as the KKK than by liberals or socialists.
And while some simpletons conveniently remind us that Republicans were among the founders of the NAACP--they rarely recall that SOCIALISTS were also mong the founders--they conveniently forget that those were LIBERAL REPUBLICANS (and SOCIALISTS!). But that was in 1909. Fast forward 100 years (or even 70) and it's no longer the Republican Party that our grandparents (if they COULD vote) would have voted for.
The right hijacked the Republican party. It no longer has a right, left and center; only a atavistic right.
The words "liberal Republican" sounds like an oxymoron today, but would have seemed quite natural until the late 1960s,
Hell, even KARL MARX--quite left of liberalism and hardly a consevative hero--was a supporter of Lincoln and Reconstruction.
The RIGHT, at lesst the far right, is the enemy. And if Auntie ASSdurratin wants to kiss her reactionary master's behind, that's his prerogative. But he needn't expect us more intelligent, conscious and self-respecting Black folk to do so.
Vote for reactionaries who are actually trying to steal my right to vote? How stupid do they think we are!
Sorry, I meant to write: "And no matter how you slice it, it WAS NOT liberals or those left-of-liberal who bombed our homes and churches in Alabama and Mississippi."

<quoted text>Brilliant and on-point as usual, Savant. I most definitely will read Professor Smith's book. As a child of the 60s, I can see the parallels in words, actions and deeds of the Republican right today with the southern racist of the democrat party of the 50s, 60s and way before. Their demon seed has been passed onto their descendents.
Assburrotten talks out of his arse as usual. It would seem his fondest desire is to please his new massas (asa lama fakum) aside, lol. These right-wingers would never put up with people attempting to treat them the way they're attempting to treat and disenfranchise minorities in this nation. They want to deny minoritie citizens with the rights they've always enjoyed and we've had to fight for and that's not happening! Too much blood, tears and misery, not to mention deaths of decent whites and blacks has been shed to ever allow them to bring back "the good ole days" that were only good for them!
Their fighting hard and we just have to fight harder. Truth and justice is on our side and it can be proven by how rabid their behavior is becoming. Of course it's fear and fear makes people do and say desperate things but the clock won't be turned back this time. Not like during reconstruction. It's time ALL Americans to enjoy the equal rights and priviledge of citizenship that this demented group of people think only belongs to them. The crazier and more hateful they become in action and deeds only brings people who are rational and on the fence over to our side. There behavior in congress, on their news shows, their posts on the internet and other media sources have exposed the blind hatred of anyone not white and their feelings of hatred, fear, sense of entitlement (based on their white skin) and hatred of all other races. We're reading, digesting, and paying close attention and there's more of us in this nation than there are of them and even some of their own now realize they've gone too far to even be taken seriously anymore, lol.
The end of their party is near and I say good riddance to bad rubbish.
Not only is the right racist, but sexist, anti-woman. All over the country they not only impose laws suppressing the Black and Brown vote, but lawd restricting or abolishing women's conntrol over their own reproduction; imposing intrusive and medically unnecessary procedures as a precondition for having an abortion. I regard as fools all people of color, women, and persons with less than $1 million a year if they vote Republican. Not that the Democrats are on the up and up. But Republicans have moved so far to the Right that they're bordering on fascism.

Now, now, now, sissy. I never asked anyone to vote for the Republicans. As an organizer for the CPP, I ask people to sup[port the CPP financially and politically. Donate here: http://conventionpeoplesparty.org/
Study some history. The Black vote began tilting Democrat since FDR. Reason: Many. But politically Blacks have been POLITICALLY left-center--sometimes way left-of-center--since Reconstruction. Probably since slavery, but just couldn't do much about it then.
At one time, Republicans were the most liberal of the two bourgeois parties. Karl Marx wasn't pro-LIncoln and Republican without a reason. But that was THEN,not now. My big objection to Obama and the Democrats is their continued kow towing the Republican reactionaries. Obama's CENTRISM is problem. I favor socialist democracy and REVOLUTIONARY transformation. Failing that, then at least be a FIGHTING LIBERAL. As for the right, to hell with them. May the devil them, and bad luck to them. Death to plutocracy and racism

You have officially disqualified yourself as a thinking individual for using the same tired, old, refuted Democrat talking point.

You literally cannot name ONE issue in which Republicans have gone to the right, because there isn't one they have gone to the right on.

If you go down the list of issues Republicans have either stayed exactly the same on them for decades, or they have gone to the LEFT.

It is typical for the actual radical party to claim the opposition is the side of radicalism when they have the power and influence to make people believe it.

If the Republicans were smart they would tell Democrats to STFU with their usual bullshit and ask them to defend the radical nature of "progressivism".

Whatever, idiot! Your party and their propaganda is losing steam! That's what has your panties in a bunch! America has REJECTED the idealogy of your party SOUNDLY and that has made you people more radical, rabid, crazy and desperate.

Sane members of your party who now realize the destructive nature of having the tea party, religious nuts, racist and nazi groups and all around haters, have begun to distance themselves from you rabid, frothing at the mouth haters.

If your party wishes to survive, they now realize deep changes (that you and those like you won't like) have to be made.

Keep posting out of your arse and going nuts over Savant's posts. He's the true intellectual here, not some community college non-graduate on the eight-year plan, simpleton!

This, we disagree on.
I've met "attai" in person.

But he was all alone.
That dog cannot ev4en learn old tricks. The idiot still thinks Nkrumah was a Marxist, for crying our loud. Nkrumah dies in the early 1970's. And we have had all that time 5tio read and study Nkrumah's works. Nowhere did Nkrumah ever claim to be a Marxist. Instead he said that he was a Marxist socialist and a Christian at the same time. To avoid confusion, a better word would have been to say that he was a scientific socialist. But as a Christian, he was a theist, not an atheist like Marx. To be a Marxist, one must be an atheist and Nkrumah was not. A "professor of philosophy" would know that. But "Professor" Savantia is more a liar that a philosopher. Her job is to spread confusion and sow seeds of dissent against against Pan-Africanism/Nkrumahism

However he is stuck in the past and can only regurgitate old maxims from the 60's and 70's. Sadly he's the proverbial dog who can not learn new tricks. Plus I beleive he has laten homosexual tendencies, and may sometimes like to post on these boards in the guise of a very liberal and self effacing French man, hoping to hook up with some young Black stud who will zealously plow his rear end.
Of course these are my suspicions and are by no means certain.
That freak is not a "professor". She is a liar. Savantia is very dishonest, so much so that only a fool would accept anything that she says without doubling checking to verify it.

Pathetic, Abdul.

This GOP attempt to pretend that the Democrats are really the racists just doesn't wash.

The Democrats, overtly anti-racist, are really racists, whereas the GOP, full of freaks who regularly exhibit overt racism, are really not racist? Yeah right.

As for the Dixiecrats, you know damned well that after LBJ signed the Civil Rights Bill they all defected to the Republican Party! Thurmond, Helms...

Back then the Democratic Party was the party of the rural white hick. Who do those people vote for today? Dubya...

You have no case, Abdul.

And what does Obama do? Send the SEALs parents form letters signed with an auto-pen. That's how that man treated this country's finest.
Hillary? Just where was the Hildabeast when Americans, including two former SEALs, were left high and dry to be slaughtered by those savages? Where was she when that 3AM call came in? No where, that's where.
So weak. A few years back I'll bet you were going on about Bill Clinton killing Vince Foster. This is the over-the-edge rightwing Tea-Party sort of paranoia that makes so many of you connedservatives so amusing.

Yet you pretend you can't comprehend that Reaganomics trashed the economy and USA society in many ways. A disappearing middleclass, USA jobs outsourced to Chinese slave sweatshops and you're still waving the flag of laissez-faire, also known as FEUDALISM if it continues to evolve as it is.

I find it amusing that the ultra-right nuts like you have pushed the GOP into such a tight corner that you're going to end up with Christie running in 2016, a moderate, and it will actually look like a race from the 60's... a “conservative” but reasonably moderate Republican vs a liberal Democrat.

So much better that what we've had going on since the rightwing nuts took over the GOP in 1980.
