Bedford County residents often bring requests, concerns and complaints before the board of supervisors.

Jackie Davis brings prayers.

During 15 board meetings from November to this week — a dozen in a row since February — Davis has come to pray during the 15-minute citizen comment period held twice a month.

Like clockwork, the Thaxton resident stands up when the chairman opens the public comment period. Walking to podium, she politely states her name and place of residence and then bows her head and prays as most in the room, including the seven elected board members, also bow their heads in a moment resembling a church service.

At Monday’s board meeting, Davis opened her minute-long prayer by thanking God for the “privilege of living in this wonderful nation and wonderful county.”

No, because it isn't a religion.
It would probably still be a civil rights violation because you cannot target people for their non-religious beliefs either (I.e., Republicans, Democrats, union members, environmentalists, etc.)

Considering that you have only one the orifice with which to deliver the Shet from, then the name "Shet' is most appropiate.
How sweet it is that the Torah and Revelations both support you being a delusional imbecile.

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—In a blockbuster documentary to be broadcast tonight, the Fox News Channel alleges that Obamacare is “little more than a thinly veiled scheme to force Americans to live longer.”

The documentary, called “The Ugly Truth About Obamacare,” claims that President Obama “is cynically using the health-care law to achieve his true objective: raising the life expectancy of Americans without their consent.”

“In America, how long you live has always been your own business,” says the documentary’s narrator, Sean Hannity.“Under Obamacare, though, it’s the government’s business—a government that wants you to live as long as humanly possible.”

The documentary lays out a nightmare scenario of Americans being saddled with sky-high life expectancies for years to come.

In perhaps the most chilling prediction of the documentary, Mr. Hannity warns,“If Obamacare goes into effect, Americans will be forced to live as long as people in Finland, Denmark, and other socialist countries.”

Speaking with reporters today, Mr. Hannity said he hoped that the documentary would be a “wake-up call about the secret agenda behind Obamacare.”

“President Obama is playing God with American lives,” Mr. Hannity said.“And if he stubbornly insists on making those lives longer, that could be grounds for impeachment.”

Atheism is a religion as the DoJ points out because it's not a rationally held philosophy. To be an atheist believer means to have blind faith in fellow atheists' opinions about spiritual phenomena none of them has ever experienced. Atheism requires a fundamentalist mentality that refuses to ever even look logically at how their belief system rests on complete ignorance of the subject matter they form all these group mindset ideas about-spirituality.

Name-calling, never answering science reports showing hardwired evidence of spiritual processing capacity which I can bear witness to in any court of law as really happening, i.e your atheist attempts to call us liars can be put to the test as I would never lie and say I don't have religious visions and revelations I firmly believe come from God and the Spirit of Christ. In court I will give that testimony. Will you atheists stand up in court and say I'm lying and offer proof? I don't think so..because you're afraid to speak in public without gang support number one and number two, you'd be laughed out of court as well as risk a lawsuit for slander.

Nice try.

All atheism is is the lack of belief in deities.

All deities...not just the one you happen to believe.

Its fascinating (and more than a little egotistical) that Christians think it is always about them and their god...
