Reagan once noted the fact that all those if favor of abortion had already been born. God bless these ladies, and some men, who work to prevent the deaths of the most innocent on a daily basis. Thanks for writing this Robin.

Thanks for the letter.

It's nice to see someone in this area has a reasonable view on this issue, free of permeating religious dogma.

Note the word "Choose".

"Choosing life ... a decision you'll never regret." It all sounds so cute and wonderful, but the reality is many women are not prepared to have a child or raise that child if it is born, and there aren't many couples willing to adopt a black ... or any color ... crack-addicted baby.
Nobody in any political party "favors abortion," but some of us do believe that there are times when making a choice, no matter how difficult, trumps emotional sloganeering.
Indeed, quite recently a young lady I knew, who drank too much and did too many drugs while pregnant, died in the process of giving birth. I understand the baby lived, but with what prospects?
Or to be even more blunt about it, try telling "Choosing life ... a decision you'll never regret" to Jared Loughner's parents.

I consider myself pro-choice because I think women should have the right to choose even if I don't agree with their choice. That being said, I applaud the work that Pregnancy Ministries does in this area. From what I've seen, PMI shows girls that in addition to having the choice of abortion, they also have the choice of adoption.

ok, so let's put you in charge of choosing death for all those who you don't think will ever meet your standards either now or in some unforeseen future.

PMI is out there offering support, not judgment, and not condemnation, for women who are either pregnant or have chosen to terminate their pregnancy through abortion. That's the kind of support that sets people up to be better parents to their children, thus enabling their children to be better prepared to contribute to your world, my world, their world.

~~~ Pro-choice and proud to support PMI ~~~
