You people who make references to "dictator" and "king" in reference to the President are laughable. He is simply a two-term President. We've had a few. Were you complaining about "king George" when he pushed through the Patriot Act? Now, yoou want to talk about trying to be a king! That act stripped away more of your rights than anything before or since.
Are you joking? I specifically referred to WHY I made the king reference and that is because of the FACT that Obama's followers are claiming some kind of dictatorial mandate because "WE WON!!!" while they completely ignore the existence of the Congress and State governments.

And yes, I was complaining about the Patriot Act - so now what? I'm consistent and you are a partisan hack......so what do you say now? What are they saying at the trough?

Obama Will Bankrupt America
Right now our government spends over a Trillion more dollars than it takes in as taxes, the debt stands at 16 Trillion and is headed higher.

Obama has made no effort to reign in spending. When Republicans offered a plan with minimal spending cuts of 2.2 Trillion he dismissed it. His own plan offered 1.6 Trillion in tax increases but no spending cuts.

How is this going to end:? We can't go on spending forever and ever.

The Democrats and the liberals on this board don't seem to understand that we are going to go bankrupt. When Obama's term started the debt / GDP ratio was 44% now it stands at 73%. Our Debt has skyrocketed and it will continue to skyrocket with Obama as president.

Will anyone take a stand? All the liberals want to do is blame Bush. Its pathetic

resident Obama seems to have a strategy to terminate all of the Bush tax cuts, not just those for “the rich,” as he has been saying since 2008. He is offering the Republicans exactly zero concessions in the “fiscal cliff” negotiations. No spending cuts, no entitlement reform, no compromise on the rates. It is entirely my way or the highway, and if the Republicans refuse to do everything exactly as he demands, he will let the Bush tax cuts expire entirely, for the middle class and working people as well as the upper incomes, and blame the Republicans for refusing to go along with him, and for the economic results.
It is a cynical game worthy of an undeveloped, third world country, not the United States of America. But this is just one more reason, with many more to come, for the American people to regret the mistake they made on Election Day.
The proof is in the pudding over the Bush tax cuts. They were followed by a record 52 straight months of job creation, producing 8 million new jobs, with the unemployment rate falling to 4.4%. Business investment spending, which had declined for 9 straight quarters, reversed and increased 6.7% per quarter, producing all those new jobs.
Because of that increased investment, labor productivity soared by 2.5% annually from 2003 to 2007, higher than the averages of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. As a result, real after tax income per capita increased by more than 11%.
Manufacturing output soared to its highest level in 20 years. The stock market revived, creating almost $7 trillion in new shareholder wealth. From 2003 to 2007, the S&P 500 almost doubled. After the Bush tax cuts started in 2001, quickly ending the 2001 recession, the economy continued to grow for another 73 months. From 2000 to 2007, real GDP grew by more than 17%, meaning an additional $2.1 trillion for the American people.
This was mostly the opposite of what President Obama has produced, with his neo-Marxist Obamanomics, particularly unemployment more than twice as high, declining middle class incomes, soaring poverty, weak job growth, stagnant stock market values, collapsing business investment, and negligible growth in GDP.
Obama’s gleeful termination of the Bush tax cuts will produce just the opposite results of those tax cuts. The combination of all the tax rate increases, along with Obama’s abusive overregulation, and the Fed’s continued mischief, will throw the economy back into recession next year. Unemployment will soar back into double digits, breaking the post depression record of 10.8%. The deficit will soar to over $2 trillion, setting new all time world records. The national debt as a percent of GDP will gallop past Greece.
Middle class incomes will plummet further. Poverty will soar to new all time records.
Obama’s ploy of blaming all of this on the Republicans will not work this time. The public knows the Bush tax cuts were adopted into law by the Republicans, with complete Republican control of Congress and the White House at the time. It will be too obvious that it took President Obama and his new neo-Marxist Democrat Party to let them expire.
Enjoy the new Obama recession. You and your neighbors voted for it.

Agreed, but liberals will not see the truth as is does not conform to their liberal ideology. So far, as we have seen Obama has made things only worse in an effort to pander to his special interest groups like the unions.

"Patriot Act provisions extended just in time
President Obama signs on from France after Congress passes the bill. Opposition to the government powers in the terrorist surveillance law brings together conservative Republicans and liberal Democrats.
May 27, 2011|By Lisa Mascaro, Washington Bureau

Reporting from Washington — Acting with minutes to spare, President Obama approved a four-year extension of expiring provisions of the Patriot Act, after Congress overcame mounting opposition from both parties to narrowly avoid a lapse in the terrorist surveillance law."

"Is Obama About to Take Over the Internet?
Imagine if someone like Lisbeth Salander, the computer hacker in the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, decided to poison New York's water supply or tried to turn off Washington's power grid. Would America be able to defend itself? The Obama administration isn't sure, so it's moving to beef up cybersecurity measures and to require companies to explain how they plan to defend against cyberattacks. But some conservatives are accusing Obama of trying to take over the internet.

"If you let the government take over some part of the internet, it's going to take over more and more," says Julie Borowski, a policy analyst at the tea party group FreedomWorks. "The Founding Fathers wouldn't support it."

Congressional Republicans are worried, too. "We cannot afford a hasty, unilateral action that will only serve to bolster the efforts of less democratic nations to stifle the very free exchange of ideas and expression that has allowed the Internet to flourish," a group of House and Senate Republicans warned in an October letter to the president.

Some internet policy groups have also expressed concerns. "Frankly, we don't know" what sort of information the government might eventually request from companies, says Mark Jaycox, a policy analyst at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). "Information sharing is a slippery slope."

At issue is an executive order on cyberterrorism that the White House is widely expected to issue at some point in the coming weeks.(Lawfare posted a September 28 draft of the order earlier this month.) "

This was found in Mother Jones, a liberal blog and they tried to down play it, but Obama is going for more power.

"The Obama administration has tried the legislative route, but the latest cybersecurity bill the president backed failed in the Senate on Wednesday, making the White House even more likely to go ahead with the executive order. "The current prospects for a comprehensive bill are limited, and the risk is too great for the administration not to act," Hayden says.

Even Jaycox, the EFF policy analyst who had worries about the order, notes that the government already regulates chemical plants, electric grids, and railroads. Obama's executive order would simply put those practices in place in the virtual landscape.

"It will not destroy the internet," he says." READ THIS AGAIN "The Obama administration has tried the legislative route, but the latest cybersecurity bill the president backed failed in the Senate on Wednesday, making the White House even more likely to go ahead with the executive order." OBAMA IS GOING FOR HIS POWER GRAB, IMO.

I say it is a combination of both- that you lie out of instinct, but you don't know what in the hell you are talking about and it is in this ignorance that makes it hard to say where the tipping point is as to which is more.

BTW: Boehner not only gave Obama nothing, he really has nothing to offer.

Obama won, he is more popular today than on the day he was elected, he has a mandate from Americans to extend the tax cut to 98 percent of Americans, and if Bohner doesn't agree to this, Obama is going to bust it off in his azz, and Americans are going to blame the GOP.

Boehner is looking for some to save face. He has about a week.
