Red states versus blue states: Who’s laying off more government workers?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-chec...

I don't think Obama's PR crew has figured out a way to fudge these numbers yet...

Consider this: If Obama's policies are actually creating any jobs...wouldn't there be MORE not fewer government jobs?

We also have a friend who is a corporate attorney whose office was on the 85th floor of tower one. That week he was rescheduled to his Chicago office, and was scheduled to his other office the next week. It was like a swap. I never asked what happened to all the stuff that office held that went down with tower one. I know his sister told me he lost a lot of friends and co-workers.
Was just not his time I guess.
Re: your last two sentences. I did not grow up in the South, but I have always heard the old-timers talk about when the South had Conservative Democrats. For the life of me I can't figure out what that means.

Jay--This is what I have been saying .The Democratic Party back in the days of the beginning of unions and time was a Party for the workers and to help the poorer class be better off. Then it slowly changed as the power of the unions and their strength grew. The Democratic Party left the workers and poor long ago,but the workers and the poor have only begun to awaken to this fact.Mostly they still think the Republicans are for the rich and to use the poor. They just have not seen the change. Now the Democratic Party is for larger gov`t sociolism to control the people and control is power.Maybe the poor will become educated to all this but many are too ingrained to open their eyes and minds. No more Obama!!!

It’s hard to think of a president that has been more of an Epic Failure than President Obama. Even Carter is glad this guy came along, so at least he knows he is no longer the worst president ever. Here is just a short list of Obama’s Failures:

1.Hawaii is in Asia
2.Passing on the keystone pipeline.
3.Touts a Green Energy Company as exemplary that fails a year later.
4.Using the Gulf Oil Spill to promote Green Energy – instead of cleaning it up.
5.Thinking the Tea Party is a passing fad – or that they are racists.
6.Pulling out of Iraq with no clear victory over insurgent forces.
7.Trying to re-write history through speeches – with inaccurate information (i.e. Statue of Liberty)
8.Getting a Nobel Prize for being the most ineffective President in the history of the United States, though some say it was for his pigment.
9.Putting all legislation on the Internet for five days before it comes to a vote.
10.Returning the bust of Churchill to the Brits.
11.Giving a collection of DVDs to the British PM.
12.Denying the notion of American Exceptionalism.
13.Promising to close Gitmo — failing to do so.
14.Securing the Olympics for Chicago in 2016.
15.Naming numerous Communists/Socialists/Progress ives to his various Czar positions and then watching them scurry for cover when Beck begins to call them out, forcing them to resign.
16.Gov ernment races for NJ, VA and the Senate Seat in Mass.
17.The midterm elections, which Obama himself called a shellacking.
18.Prediction that stimulus would ensure that unemployment doesn’t exceed 8%.
19.Bowing to just about everybody.
20.Proposing amnesty for illegal aliens to increase the population of voters for Democrat elections.
21.He said, I have visited 57 states. Now there is just 1 left to visit.
22.Obama to Medvedev…give me space I will have more flexibility after my election.

(RE)Conservative Democrats of the south.
I have to disagree with White Hair's Analogy on this one.
Dixiecrats Held powerful position in the south during the time of segregation,And were members of the society of...Yep the KKK.
So when LBJ came out for Civil Rights. The Dixiecrats left the party
by droves. Then as you know the party became liberal and began to attract people of color the impoverished the workers getting low wages, and unions. Thus basically the Party was reborn if you will.
Or morphed into what it is today.Hope that helps some!
BTW One little footnote...And I remember this well! If A man was lazy
and didn't take care of his family...no matter his color...they being
serious about their beliefs would first give a warning by laying a bundle of switches on the mans porch and if he didn't straighten up..well you can imagine what followed. They meant business!

Why did Obama sell out America?
Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place. This new team of bubble-fattened ex-bankers and laissez-faire intellectuals then proceeded to sell us all out, instituting a massive, trickle-up bailout and systematically gutting regulatory reform from the inside.

You know why!
Corporate Money rules this country He Man.
I'm an Obama supporter and will continue to be it's my Natural inclination if you will.
But no matter who the president is...it's about MONEY and who's turn it is to
spend it! And what they're preference to spend it on is. It has truly became the only difference between the two parties.Just listen to their Budget proposals. If either side really wanted a balanced budget
it could be done..A congressman's job no matter his party affiliation is to bring money to his/her district...that's the whole ballgame.
We get a lot of side issue to argue over, but have your ever seen any resolved?

Problem of Civilization: A Lack of Money, The Root of All Evil

Money is the lifeblood of a civilization, and this civilization’s lifeblood is deplete of nutrition and circulates weakly. There is no strong heartbeat here. Just like the human body must through its blood circulate nutrition, so too must civilization through money circulate the needed goods and services which give rise to its functional character, but this civilization has been hooked on empty preservatives for millennia and so its character is lethargic and prone to outbursts of angers resulting in, as you know, genocidal episodes. The psychopathy of civilization is the result of a terrible monetary diet which is the impetus of misery at all strata of society. We are undoubtedly enslaved through the medium which is supposed to help us be free.

Obama's now siding with the foreign governments of Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and El Salvador in waging war against the state of Arizona and the will of the American people. Obama's allowing these countries to dictate America's immigration laws, it's none of their damn business.

These countries have much stricter immigration laws and more severe punishments than the United States or Arizona. Where's Obama going with this? If he favors foreign law over our constitution he should have run for president of Paraguay.

Obama's also waging war against thousands of hard-working Americans in the southern states by shutting down and now restricting drilling in the Gulf. He then awarded billions of dollars to Mexico and Brazil to drill in the same Gulf. Redistribution of America's wealth, of course it is. America has it too good and must be punished — Obama will see to that. Karl Marx would be proud of his young protégé.
