Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.

Yes and no on that remark! yes,they are being overly cautious because he is black and a big-wig and instigator,but was not Wesley Snipes just sent up for the same thing? And,,,Snipes actually tried to but his way out of it-the attorney actually offered a check for millions to the judge and prosecutor,who both refused,saying that iyt had to be physically given to the IRS. A IRS person did appear in court and the check was handed over,but Snipes still has to serve time.

Back to basics, Spunky. First, does he really owe 1.5 megabucks? If he does, why shouldn't they try to collect? Second, if he does not owe the money do you think he would just be requesting a chance to put in pleadings? How about screaming his head off on TV, waiving documents, organizing marches, blocking entrances to federal buildings, demanding criminal prosecutions of anyone who had anything to do with the inquiry and answering no questions about his finances.

Now where would I get the idea he would do such things? Remember Tawana Brawley? Which of the above things did he not do on that case? He did all of the above.

Do you think the IRS gives every white person a pass on the first million in taxes? Spunky, we only wish that were true. If it were true, you should be on the lecture circuit charging a modest $100 to show white people how to duck those taxes. I know people who were put through audits for a few thousand in back taxes and had assets frozen until they coughed up.
