Neither lexicographers nor embryologists make law in this country. Legally, a person refers to an separate entity. A fetus is not a separate entity.

A persons rights NEVER stop. The 'child' or embryo's right to life begins at conception. Is that conception conception, or the four to six weeks after a woman misses her period?

My mother had breast cancer in 1977. Surgery, chemo, radiation.
She was pregnant when diagnosed. She would not have survived waiting to deliver before treatment. The baby would not have survived the treatment. She had an abortion.
I got my girl friend pregnant in high school. She had an abortion.
I am from a family of baby killers. And would do it again if needed.

"Person" means citizen; you clearly have never heard of context. Even by your belief, however, it says the STATE shall not do those things; it still says nothing about a woman and her own body. You may not have noticed but non-citizens aren't covered by the constitution, even though they are obviously persons.

Santorum is clinically insane and addicted to what I'm sure he'd call "deviant sexual practices" as well, as you can discover by Googling "santorum."

Only one of the criminally insane would force a rape or incest victim to bear an unwanted child to her criminal attacker.

Perhaps Mr. Santorum should be sent to prison so that he can experience first-hand what rape is like. Although given the practices I've already mentioned, would it really be possible for him to be raped by another man? Would he ever actually resist another man's sexual come-on?

Where does the constitution say a woman's rights end when the egg fertilizes? Why do you PLM'ers need to lie?

When life begins depends on many opinions. At conception is a very modern idea; the standard used to be "quickening" or viability. In earlier times--and by most religions, including christianity--life began at the first breath.

There is nothing remarkable about a fertilized egg; most of them get flushed with the next menstrual cycle. Many more fail to implant properly. Even if everything works, they can still miscarry or be stillborn, often for no discernible reason.
