All foreign military that come to the U.S. to go to U.S. military training must first have to goto "English School" at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX before going to their other schools. This includes the Brits, Canadians, etc. and boy do they resent going to English school.
And that works fine until the weekend and they go down town San Antonio and talk to some Texicans.

The term Liberal Redneck will strike progressives as an absurd contradiction. Yet, Conservatives will have an immediate, wearying familiarity with the angry, judgmental, uninformed and doctrinaire viewpoint of this group. In fact, the Liberal Redneck is every bit as small-minded, bigoted, dismissive, self-righteous, judgmental, uneducated and intolerant as the worst fundamentalist.
The problem in America today is that there is never a level playing field offered for the discussion of ideas. Therefore, most important topics are only mentioned in a predetermined format. In other words, one can mention, for example—gay marriage, but only with the proviso that the topic for debate and conclusion—is closed. But the Liberal Redneck is a special kind of smug, progressive partisan, who—while refusing to admit any bias, is more angry, close-minded, accusatory and bombastic than an ayatollah at a radical feminist convention. You undoubtedly know the type.
I. What is a Liberal Redneck?
The definition of Liberal Redneck is obvious. A large class of persons exists across America who see themselves as open-minded, enlightened, non-judgmental, unbiased, educated, non-superstitious and elite. Of course, this is the group of persons who claim the mantle of “modern liberal.” In fact, this group is anything but fair-minded and tolerant. Dictionary.com offers the following definition:
redneck
1. an uneducated white farm laborer, especially from the South.
2. a bigot or reactionary, especially from the rural working class.
A Liberal Redneck,.........
..........
“I don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about how absurd it is. It’s a really terrifying possibility. The fact that we have gotten that close to this being a reality is crazy.”
Damon expressed concern about Mrs Palin’s political experience -“mayor of a really small town and governor of Alaska for less than two years”, saying he did not understand why she had been chosen.
“I think the pick was made for political purposes. But in terms of governance, it’s a disaster.”
He added that he wanted to know more about Mrs Palin’s views on evolution versus creationism “because she’s going to have the nuclear codes” and whether, according to some reports,“she banned books or tried to ban books. We can’t have that.”
II. Liberal Redneck Information Sources
The pièce de résistance of Liberal Redneck information is the New York Times. But the most typical source of leftist beliefs are progressive news organizations, such as MSNBC and others. And some have taken note that the progressive mainstream media has relentlessly slanted news in favor of Liberal Redneck bias, such as in the recent gun control debate:
Even by the standards of today’s partisan media environment, the response has been noteworthy. TV hosts, editorial boards, and even some reporters have aggressively criticized and shamed the 46 Senators who opposed the plan, while some have even taken to actively soliciting the public to contact them directly.

Huummmmm, an AP article posted on the Huffington Post. Obama, can you hear We the People NOW!!!
Susan Collins: IRS Targeting Warrants Obama Apology
05/12/13 Associate Press
WASHINGTON -- Republicans said Sunday that the Internal Revenue Service's heightened scrutiny of conservative political groups was "chilling" and further eroded public trust in government.
Lawmakers said President Barack Obama personally should apologize for targeting tea party organizations and they challenged the tax agency's blaming of low-level workers.
"I just don't buy that this was a couple of rogue IRS employees," said Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine. "After all, groups with `progressive' in their names were not targeted similarly."

A rotten source, which has proven day in and day out that it is in fact rotten, ergo, FoxNews.com , is always suspect.

Thanks for defending my "English". Very noble of you but no need to, as I switch from the Queen's English to American English regularly. As a matter of fact, Americans are probably right to have simplified spelling. Why write "through" when "thru" will do just as well? Nite's as good as night. Etc. But, being an old-fashioned stickler for old rules, I do, yes, favour English English.

I know, you hear Volvo and you think it is built outside of America but Volvo owns Mack trucks so they will be built in America most of parts made in the U.S. and Canada. Besides, many of our trucks in Afghanistan and Iraq are worn out and we will probably give those to those governments and or military do need to replace those worn out trucks.
Volvo Truck Wins $177.5 Million Pentagon Contract
By Rich Smith | May 10, 2013 |
The Department of Defense awarded Sweden's Volvo AB (NASDAQOTH: VOLVY )-- or more specifically, Volvo's Mack Trucks subsidiary -- a $177.5 million contract Friday for the purchase of tractor trailers.
The contract, designated "fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment/inde finite-delivery," is what is commonly known as an "IDIQ" contract. This means that while the price paid per item purchased may be fixed, there is no obligation incumbent upon the Pentagon to buy any particular number of trucks -- although the size of the contract certainly suggests their intention to buy a lot of them.
With your average Mack truck ranging in price from just under $100,000 to as high as $200,000, this contract could easily encompass the sale and purchase of 1,000 or more trucks and trailers from Mack's several product lines, with sales stretching from now through April 9, 2017. Purchases will be made for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies.

Travel's the best kind of education. It confirms or "un-confirms" our perceptions, it shows how the other half lives. It shows there are other places to contemplate beside our navel. It can also make us learn how to do things AND how not to do things as shown in other countries. We pretty much all know how it's going in North Korea. Not exactly heaven on earth. But, I'd still love to see for myself and if possible, though it may not be allowed, speak to the people like I did before the communist wall went down or in today's Cuba. Very interesting.

I'm sure Justice ha ha Dale is not what we'd call a big traveller.

A tax assessed in the tax code is a tax, even if it serves a punitive or persuasive purpose. That is what is called a fact.

Nothing that Justice Roberts said implies that taxpayers, in general, are lawbreakers.

Justice Roberts noted that even if some may call it a fine it's really a tax. That is he noted the distinction. Play Justice Dale doltishly seems to think JR equated fines and taxes. The starting point of Dale's infantile rant is out in left field. A tax, assessed in the tax code, selectively imposed as a penalty, is indeed a tax, even if it operates effectively as an ersatz fine. Other examples include so-called "sin taxes". Every time a cigarette smoker lights up he pays a penalty to the government. As Justice Roberts stated, you may call it a fine but it's really a tax.
Rest assured, Play Justice Dale still doesn't get it.

2009 Sewage Issues

During Dubai's economic boom in 2009 the city's rapid growth meant that it was stretching its existing sewage treatment infrastructure to its limits. Sewage from areas of Dubai not connected to the municipal piped network at the time was collected daily from thousands of septic tanks across the city and driven by tankers to the city's only sewage treatment plant at Al-Awir. Because of the long queues and delays, some tanker drivers resorted to illegally dumping the effluent into storm drains or behind dunes in the desert resulting in much controversy. The result of sewage dumped into storm drains was that it flowed directly into the Persian Gulf, near to the city's prime swimming beaches. Doctors warned that tourists using the beaches ran the risk of contracting serious illnesses like typhoid and hepatitis.

Dubai's municipality says that it is committed to trying to catch the culprits and has imposed fines of up to $25,000 as well as threatening to confiscate tankers if dumping persists. The municipality maintains that test results show samples of the water are "within the standard".

As of September 2009, these queues and illegal dumping are no longer reported to be a problem.

You are assessed a tax penalty for being a free-rider. The IRS also assesses a tax penalty if you are late in filing. Both are tax penalties under the tax code.

A tax penalty for free-riders is a tax penalty for free riders, even if you call the requirement to have insurance a "mandate."

It's not rocket science.
