Answer: If you can find a letter saying anything like: "Let us exclude dual citizens," then please post it. You will not be able to find one. Nor an article. If there were such a letter or an article, it would have been found long ago--but please go ahead and try. Surely if the writers of the Constitution had meant to exclude dual citizens (like Jefferson and Madison and Woodrow Wilson and Eisenhower), they would have told us.<quoted text>Sweetie they were our Founders and wrote letters to one another regarding their resolve to exclude dual citizens eligibility to become President or VP. Even Bingham the father of the 14th amendment concluded the same thing.
They were not concerned about THEIR loyality but future generations.
As to Arthur, he did in fact conceal and destroy proof of his dual citizenship, it is an historical fact.
Those folks who stand and take an oath and become naturalized American citizens are never nautral born Americans eligible to become VP or President. But they are afforded all other rights of American citizenship. Their children do indeed become Natural Born Citizens eligible to become President/VP.
Same thing with Obama's kids, they are natural born citizens.
Provided he ever got around to the Naturalization process after his Indonesian citizenship.
Apparently as in the past, today Some Americans do not care about what makes a Nautral Born American citizen, nor do they care what the Founders intent was on tht issue, and are eager to put forth any scenerio of defense for their false prince.
Bingham ALSO SAID:
“Who does not know that every person born within the limits of the Republic is, in the language of the Constitution, a natural-born citizen.” Rep. Bingham, The congressional globe, Volume 61, Part 2. pg. 2212 (1869)”
It seems that by 1869 he had changed his mind from what he said in 1866.
Re Arthur "hid." No evidence of his hiding whatsoever.
Obama was never an Indonesian Citizen as a call to the Indonesian Embassy in Washington will confirm.
Every child born in the USA except for the children of foreign diplomats is a Natural Born Citizen.
And, for those who think that this is only recent conclusions and hence revisionist, there is this from 1829:
“Therefore every person born within the United States, its territories or districts, whether the parents are citizens or aliens, is a natural born citizen in the sense of the Constitution, and entitled to all the rights and privileges appertaining to that capacity.”—William Rawle, A VIEW OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 2d ed.(1829)
