"State Rights" -- the federalist JOKE
Treaties Do Not Supersede
the Constitution
Here's what Thomas Jefferson said on the right to renounce treaties:
"Compacts then, between a nation and a nation, are obligatory on them as by the same moral law which obliges individuals to observe their compacts. There are circumstances, however, which sometimes excuse the non-performance of contracts between man and man; so are there also between nation and nation. When performance, for instance, becomes impossible, non-performance is not immoral; so if performance becomes self-destructive to the party, the law of self-preservation overrules the law of obligation in others".
WHAT A JOKE – to quote the man who was most opposed to the United States Constitution because he was a whiny little baby on what the Constitution means. HOW IGNORANT OF AMERICAN HISTORY CAN YOU BE? Oh, that’s right, you don’t believe in college for your children, because the colleges are all hotbeds of liberal, socialist, Marxist communist mind control.
Who cares what Jefferson thinks? He had NOTHING to do with the writing and adoption of the Constitution; he wasn’t even a delegate at the Philadelphia Convention.

WHY WE NEED TO UNITE BEHIND WILLARD
1. He’s one of us – his father was a wealthy industrialist -- and Willard attended a residential prep school, Stanford, and the joint J.D.-M.B.A. program at Harvard.(Even though he was not invited to The Law Review, at least he has two Harvard degrees.)
2. He has lived the American Dream – making his money the old-fashioned way: by inheritance.
3. He has a lovely wife and five boys – all whom are believed to have earned Eagle Boy Scout status.
4. He wrote a book about running the Olympics published by one of MY personal ultra-conservative nominees for President.
5. He will cut down the size of the federal government, thereby throwing scores of millions of American citizens onto the unemployment rolls. This will send the economy into a tail-spin and tank the stock market.(Fortunately, under the Obama administration all of us have seen our portfolios double in value, say, from only $5 Million to more than $10 Million, and, using the techniques of Harry Markowitz and MPT, we will hold those gains with puts.
6. In the long-run the economy will be stronger because the uneducated riff-raff and “birther”-types will be forced into unemployment, so that when the upturn occurs in Willard’s second term, they will have to accept whatever wages without benefits our families’ companies will give them. Low wages, of course, mean higher profits for those who had the common sense to graduate from elite Eastern universities and professional schools before taking over the family business enterprises.
7. Social order will be restored to the United States as all those uppity liberal minority people of color and immigrant backgrounds will be put back in their place as the Caucasian upper-crust resumes its rightful status on top of the American heap free to discuss the tenets of conservatism over Sherry and Brie at the Club.

CERTAINLY NOT YOUR IMPOTENT LITTLE BITTY ARSENAL OF FIREARMS You should have done much, much better in high school on the reservation so you could have gone to college, so you wouldn't be so ignorant and uneducated.
Look no further than that little rebellion by the western Pennsylvania whiskey-men (the tea party of the 1790s) who showed they were quaking in their boots cowards (just as today's big-talking, uneducated tea party adherents are) when PRESIDENT Geo. Washington led on horseback the militia from four states to put the tea party-equivalents in their place. A lot of good all the rifles and artillary of the whiskey-men did when faced with the awesome power of Geo. Washington and his militia 'splaining to them who was in charge in these here United States.

Killings by guns in 2010 in the USA: 11,900

Now that ratio is out of kilt, even at 10 times Canada's population,as that extrapolates to 2000 in Canada, 6 times fewer.

and you don't see the gun control policy works? And you feel less safe in Canada?
All this says is that Canadians are terrible marksmen!

The theater in Aurora Colorado, where the shooting took place, had a "no firearms allowed" policy.
What does that say to a criminal?
"Hey! You there! With the guns! Come in and shoot us! Nobody can shoot you back! We are all sitting ducks!"
Please succinctly list all of the instances in the past 224-years that someone was murdered in an American movie theatre with a "no firearms allowed" policy. Then consult your Funk & Wagnalls for the definition of anecdotal. Better yet, ask ol' rouge the rube for the value of anecdotal "evidence."
Thank you.

EXCELLENT POINT -- except you are so stupid you don't understand it was the policy of a local theatre that had nothing to do with the "government."

George Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell. While there, they spota red phone and ask what the phone is for.
The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth.
Putin asks to call Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a check.
Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes. When she is finished the devil informs her that the cost is 6 million dollars, so she writes him a check.
Finally George Bush gets his turn and talks for 4 hours. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is $5.00.
When Putin hears this he goes ballistic and asks the devil why Bush got to call the USA so cheaply.
The devil smiles and replies, "Since Obama took over , the country has gone to hell, so it's a local call."
GOOD ONE RS....;-)

CAN YOU BE ANY MORE IGNORANT AND UNEDUCATED? The Constitution does not assign the role of vetting to Congress. DARE YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG BY CITING THE ARTICLE AND SECTION THAT SUPPORTS YOUR UNINFORMED READING OF OUR SACRED CONSTTITUION.
Obama was vetted in accord with the specific vetting provision in the Constitution.

"It was desirable that the sense of the people should operate in the choice of the person to whom so important a trust was to be confided. This end will be answered by committing the right of making it, not to any preestablished body, but to men chosen by the people for the special purpose, and at the particular conjuncture.
"It was equally desirable, that the immediate election should be made by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice. A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations.
"It was also peculiarly desirable to afford as little opportunity as possible to tumult and disorder. This evil was not least to be dreaded in the election of a magistrate, who was to have so important an agency in the administration of the government as the President of the United States. But the precautions which have been so happily concerted in the system under consideration, promise an effectual security against this mischief. The choice of SEVERAL, to form an intermediate body of electors, will be much less apt to convulse the community with any extraordinary or violent movements, than the choice of ONE who was himself to be the final object of the public wishes. And as the electors, chosen in each State, are to assemble and vote in the State in which they are chosen, this detached and divided situation will expose them much less to heats and ferments, which might be communicated from them to the people, than if they were all to be convened at one time, in one place.
"Nothing was more to be desired than that every practicable obstacle should be opposed to cabal, intrigue, and corruption. These most deadly adversaries of republican government might naturally have been expected to make their approaches from more than one quarter, but chiefly from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils. How could they better gratify this, than by raising a creature of their own to the chief magistracy of the Union? But the convention have guarded against all danger of this sort, with the most provident and judicious attention. They have not made the appointment of the President to depend on any preexisting bodies of men, who might be tampered with beforehand to prostitute their votes; but they have referred it in the first instance to an immediate act of the people of America, to be exerted in the choice of persons for the temporary and sole purpose of making the appointment. And they have excluded from eligibility to this trust, all those who from situation might be suspected of too great devotion to the President in office. No senator, representative, or other person holding a place of trust or profit under the United States"
