Obama's resignation is 20 years late and just political expediency. He will do anything and say anything in his ruthless quest to swipe the nomination.

Obama's nomination portends a setback of racial tension and racial turmoil.

Obviously, Sen. Clinton is the presidential candidate to make real progress in leading America into the future in a new direction with forward-looking solutions and progressive change for all Americans to believe in.

I find this situation so ironic.
In 2000 the Democtracts wanted to be sure "every vote in Florida was counted" in the national election. Remember election judges holding up the ballots and looking for "pregnant" chads?
Now the same people they were so concerned about only get 1/2 a vote because they voted on the wrong day.
This party is a mess.

Obama disenfranchised FL and Mi voters with 1/2 votes. The cut-and-dice-the-vote Obama gamed the system and prevailed with the DNC.

Sen. Clinton should appeal to the Credentials Committee to get every vote counted in full, undo the MI hijacking, and save the Democratic Party from defeat in November.

The complicated problems that the DNC has posed, it's one of the oldest
problems in our country. The powers that be today decided this would be a fair and workable solution, but all it does is tear the strong fibers
of which this country was built upon.

When 30 people can decide to take away your vote, not count your, or give it to someone else, and they
tell you this is a unique position, and that the rules were interpreted
as being fair to the people of Florida and Michigan who were or were not involved, basing this decision on "exit polls", then excuse
me while I make my exit from the
Democratic Party with what little pride I have left in them.

Cry me a river , you and your old white cronies are done, please just crawl back under your rock and take old billy boy with you. He has lost his legacy by pushing you.

I wonder where Chuck Schumer and Charlie Rangel et al (who originally supported Clinton ) are on this? They have been interestingly, but perhaps not surprisingly, pretty quiet as of late.

Hillary is going to have a VERY tough time returning to the senate. Her fellow democrats will shun, and as reported recently some already have started to do so. But, now it will be en masse.

What happended today didn't hurt Obama, and it certainly didn't help Hillary. The party is what is important, not her! Trust me they will let her know. Her so-called supporters today just put the nail in her political coffin. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You made yourselves look bad, small and petty and in the end you accomplished NOTHING positive for Clinton today.:)

At this point, in addition to conceding to Senator Obama on the presidential nomination, she should just yield her senate seat as well. She should go into a LONG self- imposed exile.

Obama deserves to be the next president of USA compering with Hillary Clinton.Obama played the game obeying the DNC rules. And he succed although he didn't have a presidens name as Hillary does .It;s simple. The people want change. And they trust more Obama because he is more honest and simple. They hate experience politicians as Hillary Clinton and George Bush.Everybody can see where stands the USA dollar, the price of gasoline and how much is the minimum wages.I don't believe that Hillary will give up soon.Because looks like has the same guys back up, as McCain. For eight years Bill Clinton prepared the 2008 election bussines. And he has a lot Governors and key possition people all over.I believe on November Obama will be elected very easy as a president.I hope Hillary will give up soon because she is the democrat senator with the same ideas as senator Liberman.

Letsee... In 2000, this party demanded every vote be counted and no voter should be disenfranchised.

Now voters in Florida and Michigan are equal, but "not as equal as others"..... the Democrats are bringing George Orwell's "Animal Farm" to life.

Can politics get any uglier? Thank you for going so very low, Hillary, in your quest to get what you felt you deserved. So it was your turn, was it? Whatever Bill accomplished after office has all been lost thanks to you. You are yesterday's child, no matter how many face lifts you got. Just think about all those Hollywood "heavyweights" that backed the wrong horse. That means you, MEATHEAD! Yesterdays children. Good riddance.

It looks like Chicago style politics is better than Arkansas style politics. BHO beat HRC with the outside game in the primaries, and now beats her with the inside game at the DNC. NewsFlash: The house of Clinton has fallen and the democratic party is now the party of BHO. Whating poor ole Harold Ickies ramble was sad at best and he really needs to retire. Has he actually ever won an election to anything? even city council? I doubt it, just living on elitist heritage from daddy, & so it's no wonder the democrates can't seem to win an election, they'd rather commit suicide over 10% of a loaf of bread rather than share 90% of it!!

The DNC Totally sided with Obama today!! It is funny the 2000 election has been talked about for 8 years, how it was an unfair election! And that every vote must be counted!! This 2008 primary is much worse and much more unfair!!! People in Florida and Michigan went to vote they are not the ones who changed the date! But now the DNC tells these people their votes will only count as half votes!! The DNC did everything in their power to cheat and make sure Obama gets the nomination!! Even after all of us found out about Obama's shamefull friends they think we will all rally behind Obama in November!! I for one am leaving the democratic party now, voting republican is much better than Obama!!! NOOBAMA!!!!

The DNC backed Obama today and cheated Florida and Michigan voters. In 2000 the democratic party insisted every vote must be counted. Now only half! The democratic party changes their rules depending on who they want as their nominee!! The peoples votes as usuall don't count, so the DNC and the big wigs can have their nominee! I have always been a democrat but after this I will never vote democratic again!
I say NO OBAMA!! Good bye democratic party!!!

"...whose primaries she technically won."

Christi Parsons

There goes Christi again, telling lies.

Does this writer have no credibility?

By NO STRETCH can you say Hillary won MI - where Obama wasn't even on the ballot - and FL was at best a beauty contest.

The real fault here lies with the DNC which initially opted to strip MI and FL of all of their delegates. When they did, Hillary - at best - said NOTHING. It was only later when she realized she would need MI and FL that she decided to "fight" for the voters.

Obama was stupid to remove his name from the MI ballot. But that said, had both primaries been contested there's no doubt that Hillary's margin of victory would have been a lot less than the beauty contest results indicated.

Note: only 1 out of 6 people in Wayne County who voted in the 2006 gubernatorial race voted in the January beauty pageant - after they had been told that the votes wouldn't count. Wayne County is 46 % African American. 600,000 plus vote in 2006. In Jan., less than 600,000 people voted in the Democratic primary - IN THE WHOLE STATE.

So when reporters like Christi want to tell you it was a real election, you know they're really not doing their homework.

The DNC reached a compromise today (May 31st) on Florida and Michigan. It is fair and prudent. The Clinton camp appears satisfied with 50/50 split in Florida, but unhappy about the resolution in Michigan. From the Clinton camp:

“We strongly object to the Committee’s decision to undercut its own rules in seating Michigan’s delegates without reflecting the votes of the people of Michigan.”

Are we really supposed to believe that Hillary Clinton, after stating publicly that the election in Michigan would not count–an election in which her opponent was not on the ballot–is now in a position to claim that the decision of the DNC has undermined democracy? Does she really believe this? Is she actually outraged?

The outrage from the Clinton Camp is real, but to be more exact, it is really fury at the DNC for undermining its case about the popular vote.

People seem to be confused by the entire primary nomination process. There is absolutely no guarantee of having your vote counted or getting to chose X many delegates or anything else. The DNC could decide to throw out every vote and select their candidate by racing cats down the hallway and it would be 100% Constitutional and within their rights. No one would be getting "disenfranchised" by it, either. You have zero right to participate in a party's primary process, unlike your Constitutional right to participate in the general election.

Florida in 2000 was important because it WAS a valid and recognized election (unlike the 2008 MI/FL primaries) and because you DO have a Constitutional right to vote in the general election and to have your vote counted (unlike the primary process). The two really aren't comparable except by people appealing to emotion rather than to logic and facts.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
