You made the statement - you prove it - why should I google it to prove what you said?
Because you're the one disputing it. I already know it's true.

In Mississippi, gerrymandering districts literally obliterated the impact of the black vote - this tactic has been used since the 1870's, and continues to this day.

Winners are pre-ordained before the elections are even held. killing off Prop. 5 simply allows these states to further their cause.
In Illinois we also have a lot of Gerrymandering and the winners are pre-ordined before the elections are held. That is how Jesse Jackson Jr. was elected- how is wife was elected. How Bobby Rush is elected. Maybe Illinois needs to be covered under the Voting Rights Act? BTW the victory of the Black candidates I cited came by weakening the Hispanic not the white vote.

Read the decision, people are still allowed to vote.
No one said "people are not allowed to vote." Apparently that was just your strawman.

You said "who cares about this obsolete law?"

It's NOT obsolete, as voting rights for minorities are still very much in danger. In Shelby County, AL, which brought the suit, they've been penalized within the last 5 years for voting-rights violations.

I did not know that the Democrats controlled the House. They have to in order to go back and renew this antiquated law. maybe they should irequire voter IDs in PA, Ohio and Ill, in the mix and it might squeak by.
