Thank you Capt Norton! It's people like you and your crew that allow us all to celebrate Independence Day. Good luck, God speed, and be safe.

Ronald Reagan would be proud of our service people, defending what he helped build...a military second to none!!! Thanks to all.

KJ is a great officer. I meet him 20 years ago, in a war game (I was a submariner). He was bright, so this is no surprise. It is ironic that he is on the Reagan.

Ironic? Why ironic?? Or did you mean ironic in the Alanis Morisette way?

I spent five days on the Stennis in 2002 (my niece was in the Navy) we sailed from Honolulu to San Diego. Carriers are mighty! Beautiful ships of ultimate destructive capabilities. Best wishes Capt Norton!

I was proud to serve aboard the USS Patrick Henry because it was named after a great American patriot. I would have been proud to serve aboard the USS Ronald Reagan for the same reason.

Just as Governor Ramsey was meeting with Abe Lincoln when the news of Ft. Sumter's fall broke and immediately pledged Minnesota's troops. And just like the crew of the USS Ward firing those fateful shots.

Minnesota Nice aside, Minnesotans are fighters!

He was commissioned when Rumsfeld was Defense Sec, who also tried to get rid of him (like he did many others). They both admired Reagan. He may have been on the Reagan earlier if another person was Defense Sec.

Guess it is not that ironic after seeing it in print.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
