I'm sickened by the judge's order. Only in NM takes center stage again. Those who love Fido and Tabby, you better hide them because they are next for a SW burrito.

Horses are no different than cattle- they're both quite yummy.

How nasty! Horses are more like pets than cattle. At least give people the chance to adopt them before they get slaughtered. I wonder if people would feel the same way if this is how we treated dogs and cats. Most people have had little experience with horses but those who have, know they are not cattle. They are intelligent animals each with their own personality who can bond with their owners just like dogs.

Ditto for cows, and pigs, and chickens, etc.

Some are simply sub-standard human beings. Their fore fathers, themselves, and children to be are forever damned.

to WeTheSheeple :
since all meat is fair game
and since you are a meathead,
may I then eat your brain please?
you are free range I hope or are you a sheeple
yourself, a slave to government propaganda ?
In that case I won't eat your brain
It will be as tainted as horsemeat injected with
drugs banned for human consumption.

to WeTheSheeple : on second thought, forget the whole idea. From your witty retorts, it seems likely that a fire ant couldn't derive much nourishment from such a brain as yours, if it could find it at all. Who knows, though, in another millions years, you might finally lose that tail, stand upright, and become something remotely human. But the angels won't hold their breath on that one !

It is as if we are being conditioned to try and accept beef adulterated with horse meat, isn't it ? The irony of the whole situation is that the cattle industry were suckered into supporting the pro horse slaughter extremists with the absurd argument that the Humane Society and P.E.T.A. otherwise would push a vegan agenda on the American people. But playing footsy with the horse slaughter sociopaths is what is causing more people to boycott beef - out of fear it will soon be mixed here with horsemeat. Just for health reasons alone, aside from moral repugnance at the idea of eating horses, the greed of the welfare cattle ranchers out West particularly will cause the demise of their own industry by public boycott.

I will never buy BEEF again. NEVER. Steve Pearce Rep. from the Roswell area, signed on the letter to Tom Vilsack asking to push for horse slaughter. What do you suppose is in it for Pearce? Contributions from the Cattle Industry, what else? What is in it for Race Track Veterinarians? They get 400-500 hundred bucks for the slaughtered horse that they would of had to spend three bucks on to euthanize. It is a dirty business. Did you see pictures of Valley Meat when they had 15 ft. high , 40 ft. long mountains of rotting guts and carcasses along the South Springs River, Shane? 12 feet from corn silage pits of the Dairy next door. Mad Cow Disease breeding grounds. The Doc didn't mind at all.

I am glad you revealed these facts about what race track veterinarians get as kickback out of horse slaughter. I could never understand in general how they got veterinarians in general to sign on to support of horse slaughter ( a minority I hope !) Rather than support the misuse of federal taxdollars to re-open horse slaughter, at a cost of $400,000 a year per plant, encouraging overbreeding, I am sure most people if allowed to vote on it, would approve of the same amount of money being spent to help in horse adoption, real veterinarian care for those who have horses but are financially strapped, etc. Fines and other disincentives should be levied on the commercial horse breeders who keep compounding, not solving, any issues regarding neglected or suffering horses. Are the people of Roswell aware that the backers for these proposals are foreign corporations who will not pay property tax or to clean up the contamination they cause ? Are they aware businesses won't relocate in Roswell once it is shunned as a moral pariah ?

Did you see the photos of 15 ft. High, 40 ft. Long piles of rotting carcasses behind Valley Meat? 12 ft. From the Dairy silage- pits next door. Classic Mad Cow Disease breeding ground. The Mexican Foreign Meat purveyors know that they can get away with anything in Roswell. They already own the town.

well you know the story of Kaufman Texas where the good old buys owned the town and sold it downstream to a Belgian Corporation. Even so, Paula B. the mayor found enough people to stand back and take their town back from having no future. Now Kaufman has a future. There surely must be some people in Roswell with the backbone left to stand up and take their town back from continuing to slide over the cliff into oblivion and remain a Wasteland without either pride or a future !

The only thing going for Roswell, is that it is the home of a Kentucky Derby winner.
He lives a country mile, on a back road from Valley Meat. How is it that the Millionaire Veterinarian who owns him, never once complained about the stench of this wretched place?
