The GOP lost the White House for the same reason, that they lost control of the Senate and the Congres. The American people were showing them, that they wanted change.

8 years ago when George Bush went in. The GOP had control over the White House, the Senate and the Congress. The GOP had the numbers to get certain things done that the people of this nation wanted done. But the GOP bowed down to the will of the Democrats and the people of America said enough.

If we you want do what you said. And you are going to bow to the liberals in Washington, We might as well have them in charge. So the GOP lost and the liberals won.

Now in 4 years the people of America will see that they have cut their own throats to get a point across to the GOP. The GOP will get their act together and they will regain the Senate, the Congress and the White House.

Liberals enjoy your time in control. Because your days are numbered.

Control of the government has always swung back and forth between the parties. So?

I, for one, understand all that perfectly clearly. I am pro-life. What I feared about a Palin win was that a woman so obviously under informed on world and national politics while blindly committed to her version of "americanism" and religious righteousness would be at the helm. She lacks the basic understanding and acceptance of the fact that this great country is an amalgamation of varied ideas and beliefs. It is no wonder that those who shared her beliefs loved her but the rest of us...not so much.

laugh, laugh, LAUGH. You were doing ok until you got on your self-righteous soapbox. Unless you are the Amazing Kreskin, you don't know who I am, how I believe or what I understand.
So you are saying everyone who is on the left and doesn't like Palin is lacking in morals. How incredibly judgmental of you! Somehow I suspect if it was one of Obama's daughters who was in the same boat all you Palinites would be screeching like monkeys in the treetops about it.
Some information for you, Wise One, even though you already know everything...I was told there was a high chance my youngest child was going to be born with Down's. I choose to have him because for me abortion is not an option. He was born healthy and whole but if he had had Down's I would love him just as much. I admire Palin for her decision about Trig.
I do NOT admire her goal to restrict that choice for every other woman in the USA. She does not have the right to force her religious views others. Freedom of religion seems to be a concept the right-wingers have a great deal of trouble with.
You think she's intelligent, great. Scary, but great. She has yet to put her intelligence on display, that I've seen. She seems articulate, yes.
Being left-wing does not mean you are not pro-family. I think it's safe to say most people love their families, no?
I love that saying I heard this election~ "The Christian right is neither."
A woman's right to choice abortion is nothing more than killing. While surfing the web today, I came across this site. Never in my life did I ever think that such a site even existed.

You are so high on pro-choice, maybe you should see what abortions do to babies who are not born.

I HOPE the GOP gets their act together - I want ALL Americans to be striving for what is best for our country.

As far as our days being numbered Nostradamus - your prophesy is way off base - I predict a mutual and bipartisan approach to our problems on the horizon.

So Bush and a republican dominated legislative branch had control of our government for six years and failed to lead us in the right direction. And you blame this on the liberals? Sheesh, with that kind of logic it is no wonder your party just imploded.

High on pro-choice? OK. Now that you've had your dose of assumption, here are some facts for you.

I am anti-abortion. I hate it. You link doesn't shock me; I've seen all the horrible pictures before.

Here's how I wish things were, in an idealistic world. Sex is great, I love it, I wish people would have it only within the confines of marriage, but that's never going to happen.

So, if you chooose to have sex outside of marriage, PREVENT PREGNANCY. If the man and woman both use some kind of protection, the risk of pregnancy is extremely low. EXTREMELY LOW, get it?

I wish the "choice" people would make is responsibility. If you want and can afford and responsibly raise a baby, have one. If not, use contraception. And yes, I do understand that pregnancy happens sometimes even with contraception, but not often, if it's used properly.

But as much as I hate abortion, I will not vote to tell other women they must think like me or make the decision I made.

Let me ask you something. You feel very strongly about abortion. Are you doing anything in your community to help educate people and reduce the number of teen pregnancies?

Yes, the loss is completely her fault. She did more to harm McCain's campaign than she did to help. In fact, she did more to harm all women that want not to be looked at as a sex symbol and to be treated as equal, than anything has for years.
She was too sexy and flirty with her winking. McCain's choosing her let people know that he could not make a good decision about a running mate, therefore could not be trusted to make good decisions about our future.
There is no comparison between Sarah and Hillary, so if McCain thought she would draw Hillarie's votes, he was badly mistaken.
No the fault lies with MCcain for not choosing wiser say , Huckabee- who pulled the evangelical vote

They did pick her because they thought she would automatically pull in the Hillary vote. That is true.

I agree with you that she was a GOP pawn but let's face it, she was arrogant enough to think that she was actually qualified for the job. Heck, she STILL thinks she is qualified for the job.

Good evening,
you do have a problem with women, I tell you because if you think Palin is underinformed on world and national politics than Obama is twice underinformed on world and national politics. You have forgotten with your amalgamation of varied ideas and beliefs the women. They make up half of the population. There is no amalgamation of gender in the USA, clearly not. You should see to it that you integrate first the women and then the rest.It was a shame how Palin was decried by those women haters and how Hillary was dropped by those women haters too.

No Sarah.... It's not all your fault. But, you didn't help matters. The republican party self imploded. 8 yrs of Bush accomplished that.
