Why don't you read to understand and leave your agenda behind you?
In the holy of holies once a year a high priest would offer a blood sacrifice for the sins of all the people. In kind God would accept the blood sacrifice.
When Jesus died, figuratively he tore the veil shielding the holy of holies and became that figurative blood sacrifice. Meaning to those that understood hearing that veil had been torn at his death, that once a year ritual didn't need to be done any more.
The tearing of the veil had nothing to do with invalidating the temple that Jesus had commanded to be built before he was born of flesh. The temple still remained a house of worship. Jesus stated that was it's purpose. Call him a liar if you wish to.
The veil was torn because the work was finished, Jesus said: "It is finished". God's body of believers became the temple of the Lord. There was never another commandment by his Apostles to build another temple.
It has been spelled out to you, whether you believe it or not isn't my concern, but you are deceiving yourself with your fantasies created by Joseph Smith

Since you're taking that verse literally, you will have to take the verses literally that Jesus is the bridegroom and all of us shall be his wives in the after life which also proves Jesus validates polygamy...lol...you're really pathetically ignorant sometimes.
You do know what 'figurative' speaking means don't you? Please tell me you really don't believe Jesus is a piece of rock. Please tell me you really don't believe the apostles and prophets aren't foundation stones?
Jesus never replaced the temple that he as God ordered to be built before he was ever born. He never said a word about REPLACING the existing temple in Jerusalem with anything.
Whether he said it or not isn't a requirement. He did it. And yes I know the difference between literal and figurative meanings, but the church was never, ever commanded to build temples, because they are not needed.
The veil was torn, the work is finished.

BTW:that's GREAT that you think that, but you don't have to RUB IT IN OUR FACES!
And using your logic, you don't have to send out missionaries, do you?

Hint: if you die and wake up with Jesus, that's a good thing, no matter how you want to spin it. Whether you like it or not, Jesus was giving good news. And yes, I'm using Mormon sources along with Biblical verses because that is what you are defending.
You can lead a horse to water....
lol...that is how blind you prove you are to the obvious. I haven't defended Mormon doctrine. I have questioned the way you look at it as I have questioned the way you look at the Bible. But specifically defending Mormon doctrine, I haven't done that. I have discussed how you have such hate and anger for it. I have discussed the way you twist things at times. I have discussed the way you use unreliable anti-Mormon information.
But to specifically defend a doctrine of the Mormons, you'll have to paste something to prove that. Good luck :)

The body of believers became the temple of the Lord the moment Jesus assembled the 12 apostles that represented the foundation of the church/temple that had offices and positions Jesus filled pretty quickly. And that was a 'figurative' church/temple. How is it you don't understand that? How is it you can't discern the difference between 'reality' and 'figuratively' hmm?
The temple God had his people build with their hands that he dwelled in prior to and during his ministry, it existed at the same time the apostles and prophets and disciples became the 'figurative church/temple. Yet you wish not to accept that Bible fact. You want to separate the two and claim one existed here and one existed over here and one stopped existing when this one began to figuratively exist. You're twisting up a simple concept and for what purpose?
But as I said, since you believe the apostles, prophets and others in the church became an actual temple, you have to also believe Jesus is a groom and all of us are brides and were going to be eternally married to him in a very big polygamous marriage.

You just took two separate things and combined them as one, you know that right?
Go read what Bible scholars say about the torn veil. A ritual was done behind it once a year to imitate what Jesus would do one day. A blood sacrifice was offered for the sins of the people once a year and they were forgiven their sins. That was the ritual. Jesus fulfilled that ritual with his death. Nothing was said that Jesus put an end to the purpose of the temple. Never said and never uttered.
And when Jesus said it is finished, he meant the work that he had come to the earth to do and fulfil and finish.

You're not getting this. I told this to you a few posts ago and it went right over your head. I never said the disciples were ever commanded to build a temple. You're arguing with your self. And your statement that they aren't needed, that's your opinion. Because no where in Jewish history or Christian history in the Bible has a person ever declared as you, that temples aren't needed.
God had a temple built when he wanted one built. That's a fact. You'll never change that fact that if God wanted to have a temple built today, you wouldn't recognize it because you have told God he can't build one because you have limited what he can do and he needs to accept your reasoning.
According to you, God can't have a prophet, no apostles, no church as Jesus constructed it, no temples, no revelations through a prophet, he can't teach eternal marriage, according to you God better sit up and take note of what you say he can't do. Because your out here preaching to people what God can't do and you know the will of God better than God knows his own will.

<quoted text>I don't mind answering the question. Yes, I have seen the letter Dana speaks of and yes I do believe it is you. A persons style of writing speaks volumes.
You post here under several names and when someone says something you do not like, you run like a coward to use a different name and post insults and far from Christ like responses. You will never win anyone over to Mormonism OR Christ using your particular approach.
The worst part is you do the very same thing so many anti-Mormons do. You judge others as a whole. You don't bother getting to know a person, instead you take a few things they say and turn it into what you want it to be.
You do not have to agree with a person to show some form of civility. Dana and I will never agree on religion, however we get along just fine. I understand that while he loves Christ he does not love Mormonism and he understands that I love both.
Your post on these forums DOES NOT represent what a Mormon should be.
Okay those are your words and your opinion. Thanks for stating your position.

I will not even spend another word trying to tell you the truth. I know the truth and Heavenly Father knows the truth that's what counts. Others on this thread can see the truth.

Now, with all that said. I will still do the same that I always have done!

>EXPOSE YOU claiming to be MORMONISM and not doing your DUTY and accepting ALL the teachings except the ones you chose.

>EXPOSE Dana for his HIDDEN agenda and LIES.

>Heck as far as I know you and Dana are one person logging in and out talking to yourself. But, I doubt that is true because I have prayed about it and seen the difference in the syntax.

Dana is a woman, but I think she is on the west side. Only California could support an anti Mormon business.

Actually, what's evident is you like all those things you accuse others of. You dwell on them way toooo much for anyone to think otherwise. FYI, if you actually followed through with all your lawsuit, ass-whipping idiotic threats, your computer and other devices can be supenaed into evidence and your child porn collection/ insane rantings to god knows who else/ and all your other despicable-ness, etc for days will be exposed. Seek help from a mental health professional, ASAP. I could change your sad life into something good.

The people at my local Army do know my feelings on homosexuals while they disagree with it.

I believe the Army can be fixed from within...

Even if the LDS church were to accept homosexuals 100% tomorrow, the core teachings of the LDS church still lead the members away from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ

No. YOU are just making your nightly spectacle of yourself. It's really sad that you have no earthly idea how bad you make yourself look here..daily, for hours at a time and months on end. Maybe you should go talk to your bishop about doing an adult mission. You seem well qualified and it would be a constructive..with the added bonus of being one step closer to the celestial.
