not sending them back is a reward,we do not reward crime here though the gov does when they can.

let them wait, our immigration system is not in place to help immigrants it is there for the good of the country only when needed.

Illegal mexicans do not pay taxes. If they work legally they have a phony or stolen ss number. All the cash they make as day laborer goes back ti Mexico. To he'll with Obama Fix our country and deport every last illegal back to the sewer they came from. Also deport the Kenyan born president as he has no right to hold office

I see why you have the screen name that you do. You are the one being ignorant claiming that they are doing jobs that Americans won't do. Even for crop picking there are unlimited visas for legal, foreign workers. Every other job Americans have always done.

They have no right to screw up our families to help theirs by violating our immigration laws and working here illegally. Not to mention all the taxes they suck up. They don't pay in enough taxes to cover their enormous social costs. Learn something and stop drinking the liberal kool-aid.

Who cares? They are here in violaton of our immigration laws. Wouldn't be fair? How was it fair to American citizens who have had their jobs stolen by these people, had their wages reduced and taxes go through the roof covering their social costs? How were they paying taxes if not through using a fake or stolen ID? That's a felony! I guess we just sweep that under the rug and reward them anyway? I don't care how long they have been paying taxes they don't pay in enough to cover their social costs.

I am glad to see that Republicans and Democrats finally came together to fix our immigration system. Lets not forget that America was founded by immigrants fleeing England. So we all have been "immigrants" at one point. Its funny how people throw that word out in comments and try to use it as a word to Offend those hard working people who come to the United States for a better opportunity to work hard for a better life for their families. Remember that we fled England by boat and crossed the ocean for a better life and to be free from the British Parliament unconstitutional taxes. We are immigrants as well so lets not begin to point fingers and call names. Lets fix this broken system because after all We All Are Immigrants who came to the United States For A better LIFE.
Most of us citizens were born here so no we aren't immigrants nor have we ever been. Coming to America for a better life does not include violating our immigration laws and working her illegally. What about American families or don't they count? Our system isn't broken our immigration laws just haven't been enforced. We need the jobs they are holding as we have 23 million Americans out work. Get the hell out and go back where you belong!!!!

<quoted text>What will happen is the newly gifted illegals will demand a fair wage (imagine that) and the employers won't give it to them, because the next crush of illegals will be on their way to undercut them. These newly gifted workers will end up in the line with the very Americas they undercut out of a job...oh, the irony of it all. Those who manage to keep their jobs will still be making peanuts and will not contribute much of anything. There will be more neighborhoods that will fall into disrepair and poverty. We already have enough poor who have almost overtaken those who actually contribute. What sense does it make to add more to the roles? What sense does it make to allow more people to dip their greedy hands into the legal, working taxpayers' pockets? Working Americans are being stretched to their limit...their pockets are emptier now because of those who think they are owed a living.
Everyone that works in America should expect to earn a fair a "fair wage".

I'm not a fan of the path to citizenship, but the proposed reforms would mean that it would be at least ten years before anyone with newly adjusted status could even apply for citizenship.

That means a decade of working, staying out of trouble, obeying the rules and contributing.

We have to bring the undocumented population out of the shadows or unscrupulous employers will always be able to take advantage of their situation and pay them less than what the work they do is worth which undercuts the prevailing wage for every other worker.

they are not nor have they ever been in the shadows, that is nonsense. if there was an once to truth to that those folks would not have their kids in our schools would not go to our hospitals or even out in public for that matter.it has been debunked years ago.

as for them staying here it is a reward and we should never give an illegal alien rewards. give them a chance to become good honest folks, leave on your own in a month and sign up to come legally, all who don't lose all chances to come back once caught and removed. never a reward no more having to push 1 for english.

If they aren't living in the "shadows" then why can't we agree on how many of them there are?

Look, if we have millions of people working without documentation, often being paid well below what a legal worker would have to be paid for the same work and receiving few if any job related benefits that brings down the prevailing wages for every other worker.

They are very much a part of the "shadow economy" and as long as they remain undocumented it will stay that way.

We are simply not going to deport millions of people, especially those who were brought here as children and have grown up knowing America as their home.

You're entitled to your opinion, but that argument is over.

Bringing them into the system, getting them documented and insisting that they contribute just like everyone else is the only way we are going to get a handle on this.

Immigration reform is going to happen and it will probably include a path toward citizenship so it's time to drop the "deport them all" crap and get serious.

We have to make sure that strong measures to prevent the next wave of illegal immigration are a part of these reforms and refusing to accept reality isn't going to make that happen.

But, we need not forget Mexicans are breeders. They depend on their kids for welfare.

One more think the politician should look, USA is a rich because an immigrant. Immigrant work under any condition.
Please come up with plain to help the family.
These are poor people who will qualify for welfare, child tax credits and social programs. They will pull more money out of the system then they put in. The education level of Mexicans is not too high. If it were not for the welfare programs they would not be here.

Immigrants we need not illegal aliens. Not the sick, uneducated and criminals.

Illegal aliens don't like rules and standards. That's what makes America a nice place to live. Illegal aliens want to run wild with no rules or laws just like the places the fled from, that does not make sense. Deport all illegal aliens.

You would probably feel a lot better about life if you did not get worked up about imaginary things.
Immigration bill contains 400 waivers, exceptions and exemptions = Loopholes!

"The document mentions “discretion” or “discretionary” 41 times.

It mentions “judge” or “judges” 73 times, and mentions “secretary” 1018 times, normally as the people who decide whether to apply a waiver, exemption, determination or exception.

The complexity has already sparked GOP objections from Sen. Jeff Sessions and other Republicans who say they should be given more time to study and then explain the bill’s myriad complexities and loopholes to the public."

It's against federal law for them to be working to have any taxes to pay. This is the level illegal aliens think on. Once inside the country you must keep on breaking laws to live.

They are in trouble once they are here illegally. Many are working, driving, filing taxes. ITIN numbers were never meant for illegal aliens. They should be booted out when found.

LOL!!!

New immigration bill has more waivers and exceptions per page than Obamacare

The Senate’s “Gang of Eight” has released a new version of the immigration bill that contains 999 references to waivers, exemptions and political discretion.

The revised 867-page bill contains multiple changes from the first 844-page version, released April 18, but Democrats have not announced any delay to the committee review of the complex bill that begins next week.

The bill includes roughly 1.14 waivers or exemptions per page. By comparison, the 2,409-page Obamacare law includes 0.78 waivers and exemptions per page.
