Why shouldn't they enjoy their time as Prez and First Lady? This is a great experience for their daughters as well.

Maybe now is not the time to be so self-absorbed and arrogant to enjoy a lavish vacation at taxpayers expense when World War III hangs in the balance. Ya think?

Just a clue: Congress is comprised of Democrats as well. They are all culpable.

Another clue:

The longer people like you stay on 'party lines', the less results we will get.

And one more clue:

Both sides should stop reading headlines and listening to talking heads and start thinking for themselves.

You do know there was a deal all agreed on by Boehner and Reid (that would mean they gave their word on it...) for a budget with good cuts to spending and no provisions. the house GOP backed out of it on their own free will...they totally own this shutdown by sticking crap that has absolutely nothing to do with the budget into this deal.

When I see how idiotic congress is acting, I can't help but be on the side of the Dems. Yes, both parties are far from perfect, but it's the Republicans who are initially impeding progress - as usual. Having watched Boshner cry a bucket is beyond disturbing to watch. Too bad his heart is only with his kind, and not with average American people.

Here is another clue: The teaparty House republicans have conspired, since this President's innauguration in 2009, to vote down and block any legislation that might assist our economic recovery, including 3 years of democratic jobs bills, including the American Jobs Act, a bill that both sides agreed would provide over a million immediate jobs....All in a continuing effort to effect his re-election and make him look bad.....it's no mystery, for those of us that have paid attention.....

Why shouldn't they "enjoy" their time as Prez? Do you watch the news dear? Have you seen the MILLIONS of Americans who can't find a job? Have you seen the numerous Americans who are losing their HOMES? Fiod assistance and welfare are at RECORD NUMBERS!! MANY Americans are suffering greatly under Obama's anti-business and socialistic policies and YOU think it's a great time for Obama and moochie to "enjoy" themselves?

Yes, what a great time to enjoy themselves when so many Americans are suffering!?!? How insensitive can you get?

Obama and moochie have hosted more celbrities at the white house, hosted more parties, and taken more expensive vacations, than any president in HISTORY, all while the economy suffers at one of the lowest points in history!! And you're so deeply ensconced in your political ideology that you see NOTHING wrong with that????!!!

You must be sick, or horribly misinformed.

Obviously you're not smart enough to be on the RIGHT side of history huh?

The republicans were the writers of the greatest document in history, the constitution, they were the party that FREED the slaves, and STOPPED Jim Crow laws in the South, the party who stood with women to END voting discrimination laws against women, the party who brought economic prosperity to people after the disastrous Carter years, the party who had a hand in ENDING the cold war, the party who defeated a dictator's reign in the GulfWar, the party who stands up for ALL RIGHTS, including those who do not have a voice. And NOW this GRAND ole party is standing up to a bloated, unread law that will destroy this country's healthcare AND economy!! I am so proud to be a part of a party who believes in true equality and prosperity!!

Are you so deeply ensconced in your ideology that you can't look at the whole picture objectively?

The problem with our government is that it is ours. We have allowed the people in office, local and national to become the elite of our country. Way back when, old Tom and the others that signed that piece of paper that Obama hates to look at, thought they would prevent people from becoming Lords, Earls, Kings and so on. Over the years, the people we have elected and allowed to stay in office are the Lords, Kings, Queens and so, they voted themselves more goodies than what any candy store has to offer. We, as a whole, are so damn dumb we deserve the government we keep electing year after year. They all should be removed, term limits put in place and no pensions for serving just one term. How in the hell did that happen? I did not vote for it.
