From the blog critics website:

One concern among Republicans is that this period is being called the "the golden era of profitability" as corporate profits are higher than at any time since the 1960s. At the same time, the increased worker productivity means wages and salaries make up the smallest percentage of the gross domestic product since the government began collecting these records in 1947.

And as wage deflation is made more intense by reduced employee benefits, Republicans are worried about a backlash ...

Read "Dossier: The Secret Life of Armand Hammer" - the man behind Occidental Petroleum. You will find a communist agent who knew - and served - every Soviet leader from Lenin to Gorbachev.

You will find a leftist more opportunistic than any - maybe all - the left rants about these days. He makes this guy look like a saint.

Hammer also opened the door for the creation of OPEC and the problems we have had ever since.

From the Am. Progress site:

The Bush Administration touts a decrease in the overall unemployment rate as proof the economy is healthy. But the major reason for the decrease is that thousands of the jobless have simply stopped looking for work because the economy is so bleak. But just as troubling is the downward pressure on wages for those who are working. And the data shows that the Administration's tax cuts for the wealthy have done little to deal with this very serious problem.

WAGE INEQUALITY ON THE RISE: "New data from the Labor Department show that after adjustment for inflation, salaries of the country's lowest-paid workers - those who fall just inside the bottom 10% of the pay range - fell 3% last year, from 2002. Meanwhile, the salaries of the highest paid workers - those who are just inside the top 10%- were unchanged. The divergence appeared to grow in the fourth quarter as higher-paid workers gained ground and lower-paid workers slipped further. The numbers continue a movement to greater wage inequality that began around the time President Bush succeeded President Clinton." [Wall Street Journal, 1/23/04]

Occidental is a multi Billion Dollar Oil Giant and the Gore Trusts holdings in it are tiny as a percentage of its' value.
A rose spelled any other way still smells so sweet!
Gore is still a hypocrite fraud.

Ron Paul would never take a vice presidency to McCain. That would be like water & oil.

Paul is anti-NWO, McCain is the chosen one of the pro-NWO Republican - and Democrat - establishment.

The WhiteHouse & Congress !
The problem is that it will be impossible to deport them all, they would just go into hiding. Besides, they have paid off all of the best lobbyists.

It was only a matter of time before the media turned this into an anti-conservative issue.
The media totally refused to cover this scandal because this scandal supported the idea of going into Iraq. It's one thing for businessmen to engage in wrongdoing on this matter, but it's a whole new level of corruption when Chiraq and other french and russian POLITICIANS are involved. These corrupt politicians were intentionally weaking the sanctions. Not covered very well by the NY Times.

I herd we went to Iraq because of where China wanted more fuel oil and since we are in dept to china we had no choice but to protect the oil in the middle east.
And our Gov/Higer ups keep spending, sending money ect.. to Africa while our own people and country is falling to pieces around us, Amazing how President Bush didnt know that price of a gallon of gas, and most likely doesnt know what is going on financally with America either, they both go hand in hand.
I dont think we are going to have to be concerned about our Children taking up the dept of the USA. because when this country falls major Depression, the dept that is owed the way I see it will be taken up with dept collectors like the UN, China, our Federal Land will be theres, that is what they have used for collarerall, Our land, National Parks, National Forests, and we didnt even get to vote on it, think of our Gov. useing collaterall that wasnt theres, I bet you one thing if everyone of our Fed. Gov. officals would of had to put up there house and money for collaterall the dept wouldnt be in the trillions and would of been paid back in days...
Amazing how the Gov. got so out of hand because none of them has to be held accountable for what they do, we wouldnt be seeing 250,000.00 spent to reintroduce one Mexican Gray Wolf, and the money that was lost from industries like copper smelters shut down from the clean air act. would still be going. In south america the copper smelters are still going, I guess the clean air in the USA stays in the USA, lol none of the air from south america blows to the USA or our universe. These organizations have shut down america, slowly but surely, Now its to late all the manufactures moved to 3rd world countries like we are going to be one day soon.
Depression.. No stockmarket,no banks, no Government, No Money because the dollar wont buy nothing, our money will have lost all its value, everyone will have to pack guns to protect what food they do have.
Think of people in the big citys what and how can they live off the land like people did back in 1929 Depression, that generation of people would work for food, pan gold ect.. to survive.
What will you do ?

Hey, you ignorant Bush-bashers. Did you read the article?
Do you understand the OIL-FOR-FOOD PROGRAM scandal was/is about the UNITED NATIONS, IRAQ and OIL COMPANIES mostly in the U.S., RUSSIA, AND FRANCE? It is NOT ABOUT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
Iraq, the United Nations, and oil companies in the U.S., Russia, and France were profiting from oil trade kickbacks. That's a good reason why the U.N., Russia, and France did all they could to keep the U.S. from overthrowing Saddam.
By going into Iraq and overthrowing Saddam, President Bush and the U.S. government were putting an end to OIL-FOR-FOOD and the illegal lucrative kickbacks mostly for the U.N., Russia, and France. The U.S. wanted to end it.
Do you even know what OIL-FOR-FOOD was?
Do you have a clue about anything?

I think it is widely forgotten that the oil for food scandal was occuring at a time when Sadam was bribing just about everyone at the UN. He was certain that he could keep the US from invading, get the sanctions lifted, and restart his expansion programs. The oil for food "scandal" was only a small part of this and it included a great many individuals who were willing to take a kick back to help enrich a dictator. Mostly what this scandal shows is that no good deed goes unpunished. In our attempt to help the people of Iraq we enabled another revenue stream for the corupt.
