Transportation; which is their primary function.
Next stupid question.
You ate the bait.........LOL

Cars are used for transportation..........OK

Guns are used to fire a projectile.........

Many say there is no need for a car that will exceed the speed limit......
Other say there is no need for a gun that resembles a military gun.......

But yet only moron/liberals would try and ban either.......

And speeding cars kill more people in a few days than assault weapons do in a year.....

If that's your only argument, then we better legalize all drugs too.
Then they will bring drugs and 100 watt incandescent light bulbs.....

Irrelevant, they can still transport you from point a to point b, which is what they were designed to do. Being killed while doing so is incidental to their primary purpose.
On the other hand, killing IS the primary purpose of any gun.
I have 100s of guns specifically built to shoot paper targets at different distances.......

A few are AR style........
With a competition barrel alone that is over a 1k dollars.....

So why focus on assault weapons when speeding cars kill more people in a few days than assault weapons do in a year???

Which is why we attempt to make cars as safe as possible- i.e. seat belts airbags anti-lock breaks and most importantly speed limits so people can be safely transported from point a to point b.
No matter how safe you try to make a gun, the primary function is still to kill.
Wrong again..........

I guess you have never been a competitive shooter..........ROTFLMAO

Oooooh, are you dizzy from your spin job?
The primary use of a gun is to kill with it. The gun was designed primarily with the intent of humans using it to kill something with the projectile it fires.
Happy now?
they also use them to threaten to kill.

Of course I care about how people are killed, which is why I support safety education for kayakers and safety features for cars etc.
The difference is those items are designed for purposed OTHER than killing; so while many people die as a result of auto accidents or someone may be killed with a baseball bat, killing is NOT the primary function of the item.
Guns are designed to kill- PERIOD. While they can be used for other things- i.e. target practice or even a doorstop, their primarly function is to kill.
So while I continue to support making all the products we sell as safe as possible, I will also continue to support getting rid of civilian ownership of the most dangerous weapons designed primarily to kill as many people as possible in as little time as possible, and that includes nukes, machine guns, and semi-automatic assault rifles.
You really need to understand one very important, fundamental thing. Guns enabled us to become a country in the first place.

Well for starters we flip the SCOTUS from a 5-4 "conservative" majority to a 5-4 liberal majority and there goes your individual right to bear arms separate from a state militia. One vote is all we need.
But we can make it as difficult as possible for you to legally keep and use your guns.
So, you support another civil war? Essentially, that's what you're saying.

Or a 500 HP car
They kill more people than guns....
Well, I guess he wasn't thinking about swords, archery equipment and a myriad of other "manual" items designed soley for the purpose of killing. Imagine how we'd be living now had we only had those when we declared independence!

So what?

When's the last time someone drove a car through a kindergarten and killed 27 people?

PS: Cars are registered AND insured.

Because cars serve a valid civilian purpose which outweighs their incidental dangerous nature.

Assaults weapons DO NOT.

If that was the primary function of the gun then it would only be able to fire non-lethal projectiles.

No, people enabled us to become a country in the first place. Whether they used guns or cannons or a death star or rabid rabbits is irrelevant.

No, I'm saying the current individual right to own a gun is based on the recent 5-4 SCOTUS decision which can just as easily be reversed when the court eventually changes members.

I hate to burst your doomsday fantasies, but Americans are too fat, lazy, and addicted to their Iphones to have another civil war. They might miss the latest episode of Survivor or American Idol.......
