I'm as much a citizen as Eric and/or you, and so are all the other religious people, that's who!<quoted text>
Share your OPINION all you care to....but, in the words of Eric Shultz,
"Who the fuck are you to turn your views into my laws???"
Pardon my (and Eric's) French.
As for 'standing up for my right to disagree with you,' you've so far done a very substandard job, what with accusing me of quaffing Kool-Aid, and what-not.
None of my assertions have indicated a desire on my part to be free from disagreement with anyone...just from legislation which requires me to submit to the doctrine or sentiments of a religion to which I don't subscribe.
You people are the ones, which your post makes so obvious, trying to marginalize other American citizens out of the political process
If my vote wins over your vote; its only because more citizens voted my way.
Whine about it all you wish; but its not whether one's religious or not that wins any elections, etc., its about how much of the population in a free democratic society also agrees.
Eric, apparently chose to whine, cause he lost out on something, Boo-Hoo! Learn about democracy and learn to get your voice heard, that works much better than whining.
