Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush.(Sura 9:5)
4:101 “When ye travel through the earth, there is no blame on you if ye shorten your prayers, for fear the Unbelievers May attack you: For the Unbelievers are unto you open enemies.” 4:102 “For the Unbelievers, Allah has prepared a humiliating punishment.”
What peaceful passages you quote from that book that rules Islam. I just love the "slay them wherever you find them" part. No wonder Lilbunnypoopoo defends them, for now. Western men, as selfish as they are, treat women a whole lot better then muslim men do.

Aside from your ignorance about Muslims, glad you know (or recently looked up) that Jesus is a prophet in the Qur'an.
I thought it interesting they also believe He was born of a virgin, named Miriam (Mary), and performed miracles.
Looks like the Qur'an is ignorant about Jesus. He was not a prophet.

With God all things are possible.
Before the flood, and before we lost the canopy between us and the sun, men lived hundreds of years. Animals were much larger then as well as men.
If you care to explore any of that Dr. KENT Hovind has many vids about evolution /creation.
"Gtown," please tell me that you're being sarcastic or facetious here.
I try to refrain from ridiculing anyone's religious beliefs because I know many people take their faith very seriously and that some tend to view criticism of it as an attack on them personally but--Kent Hovind?!?
Seriously?
That guy's got barely any credibility amongst the Creationist crowd. His credentials in the scientific community add up to less than zero. His lectures are so nonsensical that they'd be funny if it weren't for the fact that some people actually believe them.

Good grief, and we wonder why our country continues to lag behind in the areas of math and science...

I am a big guy, and my mother has been dead for 20 years, so it would be hard for me to still be on her tit, but sto has a right to say whatever he wishes. I do have a feeling he would not be so free to speak this way, if we were face to face, but I also say things on an open forum that I wouldn't say face to face. Wea all do.
You guys can call me ignorant and believe the earth came from jello, but it will not help you when you leave this world.
Lord Lord sto said abortion was ok, and even in your word.
Lord it is not my fault, since I was taught evolution.
People in the world, with a bone in their nose who have never seen a bible are without excuse, so how much more or you?
Plus you can go on believing all you want about those "peaceable muslims",but most of the pro choice folks on this forum wouldn't last a day under sharia law./
This would be amusing if it wasn't for the sad fact that you believe what you are saying.

Okay, Ink. Here's the point: There is no secular evidence that Jesus Christ extisted. Ya with me? Even so, Islam and Christianity agree that He did exist and agree on a couple of key points about Him -- born of a virgin and performed miracles.

As far as I know, He is the only person in the Qur'an who is said to be born of a virgin.

A sentence taken out of context. Here is the entire passage...

"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... But if they cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful... If they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193).

The non-bigotted go to the source. The bigotted go to sites that will only confirm their bigotry.

Like the bible is full of peaceful passages? Where ripping open pregnant women's bellies is ordered by God? Yeah, okay.

Man kills his wife because he thinks she committed adultery is different than a dad killing his teen because he thinks she had premarital sex, how?

Actually, Katie, that is a prophecy. Basically, God says, "if you don't stop doing X, this is what is going to happen to you."

It wouldn't be clear from reading that passage, alone. Ya gotta study the goings on over a few chapters/books.

Just so ya know.

Well, there is much I don't agree with him on, but there is also much I do.

It is according to what sec or denomination one comes from.

That's right it was a prophesy of the cruelties that would be committed by the Assyrians on the Samarians. Not an uncommon happening in those days.

You took one sentence out of context to change the meaning of the passage, and prove your bigotry. And yet when it's pointed out to you, you try to change the parameters of the discussion. How typically dishonest of you, Bigot.

Your kind of ignorance is dangerous.

So what was pulled from the Koran is any different? Someone pulls a few passages from the Koran and makes a blanket statement without knowing the context of it. Then they claim Christianity is so much more peaceful...? Like the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Salem Witch trials never ever happened? That's my only point.

Or the bigots can just see what muslims do with americans, when they have a large knife or a large airplane.

Isn't he imprisioned with a death penalty hanging over his head for being an unbeliever? It goes right along with the Qur'an to punish the unbeliever.

Those were terrorists. No religion is represented by it's extremists.

No. He was charged with apostasy, served a three year sentence, and has since been released.

Still, that wasn't the subject. An accusation was made about killing all who won't convert, not Muslims who leave the faith.

As I said, your kind of ignorance is dangerous.

Oh, I know.

Actually, if you want scandal, read the OT. God's people committed every atrocity in the book. Broke every Law. There's murder, rape, prostitution, adultery, incest, lying, cheating, stealing, idolatry, child sacrifice. Look at what David did to Uriah, his most loyal soldier. Messed up, I tell ya.

Yes, and after all of that God still loved us all enough to send His only begotten son to die for our sins.
Do you ever tell anyone about this part?
what did God say about david?
Out of all david did, having uriah killed was the only thing God mentions, when all is said and done.

Do you live in you moms basement? Lol
