Republicans Hold Hearings About Hillary Clinton's Poll Numbers

May 10, 2013 Full story: www.newyorker.com 33

Republican lawmakers asked increasingly tough questions today as they held another day of hearings to investigate, in the words of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California), “Hillary Clinton’s suspiciously high poll numbers and what can be done to make them lower.”

“With the help of Fox News, we have brutally attacked Hillary Clinton for months, and yet she remains more popular than ever,” Rep. Issa said. “This committee needs to know how that happened, and how we can keep it from happening in the future.”

Republican males had no clue what a big impression Hillary made on low-esteemed women who fell for her "STAND BY YOUR MAN" stance in response to staying married to her cheating Billy Boy.

Those same women probably believe she had to duck sniper fire.

The more anyone picks on Hillary (even with truth), there are those who will cling to their Hillary Hero worship all the more!

This latest shit-bomb from Issa is one of his smelliest. What this schmuck doesn't seem to realize is that one reason for Hillary's high approval ratings, is that the public has had a good whiff of her opposition. Issa himself is an example.

I remember when Rep. Issa was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher. So anxious was he to be seen as a "regular guy", an open-minded fellow with no axe to grind, the cracking of his forced smiles could almost be heard over his mike.
Issa is a top-ranking wingnut sleazebag, who has solidified his place among the Limbaughs, Becks, Palins, and Hannitys of the world. The Democrats can thank these bozos for pushing more people toward the left.

I would refer you to comment #16 where, as "Your Ex" so eloquently put it:

"Satire really flies that far over your head?
Wow."

The story is written by a satirist. Thanks for raving like a lunatic, though. I see nothing has changed.

I missed that, to my everlasting embarrassment. I hang my uncommonly handsome head in shame. But with some of these jokers on the right, it's often hard to tell where satire ends and serious stupidity begins.

My lunatic rages may end when the Tea Party pot is empty.
And what I said about Darrell Issa is, sadly, not meant as satire.

That's all right, Larry. It happens to the best of us. I know because it happened to me if you can believe it.

It's like you guys thinking all this time that the Øbama administration was being completely honest when they told us the Benghazi attack was the result of a protest about a video and that no one changed the talking points handed off to Susan Rice. You must just be completely floored to learn today--not through FOX News--but ABC of all places, that it was a big lie. Did you see Jay Carney contorting in the press conference to explain away all of his prior statements on the subject. It was priceless.

Re: your opening statement -
Yes, I can believe it.

I don't how this whole Benghazi affair will shake out, but of one thing I am fairly certain. Trying to blame Obama for what happened will backfire against the right. The smearmongering is too blatant.

If Øbama hadn't been campaigning on how he al Qaeda on the run, had killed bin Laden, I might have given him the benefit of the doubt. To have removed all references to al Qaeda and talked only about a 'spontaneous protest' and a video was preposterous, though. Given that we now know that no one on the ground ever told anyone there was any protest says it was about the election and reeks of politics over truth and a cover-up at the highest levels of the White House, maybe even to Øbama himself. I doubt Øbama will be able to deflect all responsibility.

I think you are being overly partisan in your "objectivity". Again, I'm waiting to see where it all lands. Believe it or not, if Obama is proven to have had a hand in any coverup, I'll be among the first to acknowledge it. But if he is found free of blame, I think you'll owe the man an apology.

Like it freaking matters. No matter who gets "selected" through the use of campaign contributions to their Super PACS, nothing will ever change.
Did anything change from Clinton to Baby Boy Bush? Nope.
Did anything change from Baby Boy Bush to Obama? Nope.
Will anything change from Obama to XXXXX? Nope.
We will still have more debt, more wars, more Americans being sent to foreign lands as a sacrifice to false pretenses, more government intervention against the people as a whole no matter their party affiliation.
Psssssst, Bin Laden is DEAD and we have Affordable Healthcare. You wouldn't recognize change if it bit you.
