Maybe the objection is to deliberately misleading headlines such as this one.

America will regret allowing homosexuals to gain a foothold in the military and in politics.

Misleading, how? The Pentagon is denying access to a number of LGBT websites and giving as the basis for the denial that they are LGBT websites.

The headline is in the present tense: "Pentagon bans ..." When did they impose this supposed 'ban'? In the last few days? That's certainly what is implied. If it is indeed so, yes, then it is newsworthy.

But that's not the impression I get when reading the article. Rather, it seems to be a case of a filter that has been in place since long before the demise of DODT, but which the Pentagon has subsequently failed to lift. Once again, deliberately trying to elevate something to the level of a grievous injury, when it is more likely a case of negligence, nothing more.

If I'm wrong, I stand corrected, but then a more detailed explanation should have been forthcoming of exactly when this 'ban' was imposed, and exactly when the Pentagon explained their motives and to whom. That would be honest journalism.

The Pentagon bans PORN sites. It also bans sites that Intel suggests are linked to badguys.

Dolphins are not fish. They are air-breathing mammals, who birth their children live, and nurse them.

And this has anything to do with them banning access to sites, such as the one you read here, how?
