Libertarians have been recruiting on TOPIX since its inception.

Do you guys get promoted or something for how many useless posts you create. I mean you have been saying the SAME boring things over and over like mantras since before the elections.

OR do you do this as some sort of exercise in futility?

speaking of college - did you know that the high tuition costs for college in some private schools go more for advertising and recruiting for the college than for the students themselves?
That many will have these students loans for their entire lifetimes AND will not even be able to get a decent job?
That the private schools are accepting everyone and anyone regardless of whether they are ready for college or not AND will secure them a student loan even if they have the WORST credit?
This is what is sooooo very wrong with big business today - their TOTAL DEPENDENCE on our government for handouts, buyouts and welfare AND their friggin' stupidity. Sooner or later the party's over - that's LIFE 101 - yet these big business idiots keep right on partying - AND ALL AT OUR EXPENSE!
Big business is RUINING America!! The only REAL capitalists left in America are SMALL businesses and they are being DESTROYED by big business.
Lily, you are close but that cigar is still out of reach....

BIG GOVERNMENT IS RUINING AMERICA. And that includes ruining both big business and small business. Did you know that only 1 tenth of 1 percent ($73 million) of the $862 BILLION stimulus went to small business, and for SBA backing, not handouts? Yet dem-friendly states received billions to support their govt pension liabilities?(job creation? LOL!).

Per the SBA...

Small businesses which consist of less than 500 employees represent more than 99% of all employer firms.

In 2005 (latest data year) these firms created more that 900,000 net new jobs. Small businesses employ about half of all private sector employees, and pay nearly 45% of total US private payroll. In the last 10 years, small businesses have created 60 to 80% of net new employment. In the first part of 2008, when the US lost more than 1.5 million jobs, 60% of those lost jobs were from small businesses.
__________

Oh, and 75% of all small business owners file their taxes as Sub-Chapter-S corporations, meaning any profits are taxed as personal income. Also consider that 10% of Americans pay 70% of all income taxes and 50% pay no income taxes.

My advice to you is to try not slip on all those banana peels, especially given the marxist takeover and ruination of America's healthcare system.

Here's some insight in what should undoubtedly be a fun rant for the entire family....

Reich Chancellor Obama's loyalties lie first and foremost with his radical marxist agenda, and secondly with his union and special interest ownership that put him in power.

He tolerates democrats only because he needs them to achieve and sustain power. Did you ever hear that comment from Michelle, where she stated that when she interrupted him once, he barked "Can't you see I'm trying to change the world here, woman!"?

This is not a pro-American president, nor even a pro-American citizen. No, this lifelong affirmative-action, radical/marxist/commie associating whacko wouldn't know America if it smacked him upside the head. He has nothing in common with Americans. Nothing.

He's never held a license to practice law, has lived his entire life on the public dole, hid the bulk of his past, and has pissed away millions of taxpayer dollars on his publicly-funded, failed money transfer and liberal indoctrination projects. He became an Illinois senator by hiring attornies to invalidate his competition on unrelated grounds, and did NOTHING (aside from passing "Islamic Appreciation Day") in office, while leaving his district in ruin. As US senator, he also did nothing, and spent two years of his term in absentia while running for president.

And all the while his collusional national socialist democratic party -- they who outsource trillion dollar payoff legislation to the radical Apollo group -- they who are radical and corrupt beyond measure -- will forever put politics first and America last.

The web of corruption and deceit weaved by Obama, his cabinet, czars, entire party, and the liberal media is beyond despicable.

Long term rectification of this will require the end of liberal control and indoctration of our schoolchildren. Not so coincidentally, Obama just buried a marxist government takeover of the student loan industry in his "healthcare" takeover bill, in which all students (thanks to US taxpayers, will be granted partial debt forgiveness in exchange for government service, aka indoctrination).

This cannot stand if America is to survive. Shame on America.

And just for grins, here's what Americans can expect from their whacked marxist "leader"....

New and increased taxes, more wasteful entitlement spending, more wealth redistribution, more 24/7 Alinsky politics-first America-last political tactics, more class-envy, class-divide, and class-warfare, more villification of the tea party and any patriot who dares expose or stand against his radical anti-American agenda, taxpayer bailouts of bankrupt states (California, New York, Illinois, etc), crushing inflation/stagflation, massive deficits, more horrific realities with regard to his marxists health insurance takeover, another leftist SCOTUS, more defense of islamic terrorists, more terrorist attacks on US soil, and of course amnesty for illegals and his pending energy takeover (his cap & tax scam)-- which should put the nail in our coffin. Meanwhile, he's allowing his muslim bro's, er Iran to get the bomb!

A least he's turned over ownership of the US to China, and you have to admit that they do make good noodles, so it's not all bad. Rumor has it that unions love 'em.

As to what liberals think about all of this...

Wartime, you want to talk taxes I see:

"Last week, Forbes magazine published what the top U.S. corporations paid in taxes last year.“Most egregious,” Forbes notes, is General Electric, which “generated $10.3 billion in pretax income, but ended up owing nothing to Uncle Sam. In fact, it recorded a tax benefit of $1.1 billion.” Big Oil giant Exxon Mobil, which last year reported a record $45.2 billion profit, paid the most taxes of any corporation, but none of it went to the IRS:

Exxon tries to limit the tax pain with the help of 20 wholly owned subsidiaries domiciled in the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands that (legally) shelter the cash flow from operations in the likes of Angola, Azerbaijan and Abu Dhabi. No wonder that of $15 billion in income taxes last year, Exxon paid none of it to Uncle Sam, and has tens of billions in earnings permanently reinvested overseas."

U.S. companies will surely continue to seek tax shelter in other countries, but only time will tell if they’ll be able to get away with this scheme.

With corporate welfare all tax dollars going to subsidies, handouts and giveaways. And you see corporate crime running amok with very limited enforcement resources. And you see the abandonment of America by these global corporations that were born in America and went to profit in America, but have no allegiance to our country or community other than to control them or abandon them to China or elsewhere as they see fit. That's the crisis today.

ok Wart - spin it.

So, you're either saying the American people don't deserve this country, or that they deserve it while those outside our country don't unless their peasants overtake their military.

Quit crying and admit your original statement was wrong.

While the decision was delayed, the actions implementing the decision were in fact moved sooner, so what the heck is your point?

Once again, in a mad dash to prove me or Obama wrong, you fail to check relevant facts which show you are going down a dead-end path.

It is people like you that forced a conservative Senator into resigning recently.

No one, not bush nor Obama, is wrong 100% of the time nor are they right 100% of the time. They certainly can not please all of the people any of the time. You are in such a rush to find something, anything wrong, you don't even stop to check. He did it, it must be wrong. That pretty much makes you useless to good conversation and so when there is nothing important being discussed, there is you.

I "wake up" to this? It's the left that despises reason.
One example: http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg1992666...

The "Right" uses reason to advance. The Left uses facts to "prove" their preconceived notions and specifically disallows are attacks facts that are counter to their beliefs.

BTW: I did not think we should have been in Iraq to begin with, so I find it hard to thank bush for that. However, once we were in Iraq, we had responsibilities. I think the combination of Rummy and Cheney advising bush pretty much screwed up our strategy until 2006.

Once the election of 2006 was over, Rummy was out of the way and Cheney was held at arms length. Our esponse to Iraq remarkedly changed to include the surge. I did not think there were enough Soldiers in the surge to the job. I happilly admit I was wrong and I thank bush for seeing something was wrong, changing course and leaving us in much better shape than we would be had he "Stayed the Course" which I think Cheney and Rummy were encouraging him to do.

I didn't see where you said "Jesus would be against abortion". If you did, then good. That still doesn't square with your assertion that Jesus would be a "Progressive Liberal" (or whatever words you used) because "Progressive Liberals" are pro abortion.

So are you saying "except for abortion", Jesus would be a "Progressive Liberal"?

McChrystal's request sat unanswered (or delayed) for months. Obama talked about his "comprehensive review" (like he does with everything) and people expected it to happen. He dithered.

You're right though: Bush wasn't 100% wrong and neither is Obama. I just can't find much where Obama is doing the right thing that works to make things better in the long run.

Thanks, I will. But don't you think, having written what you just did, that there was no "comprehensive plan" in March? That's my point. Obama had soaring rhetoric about a comprehensive plan, but in fact, the plan was still being developed.
I suppose I might be picking nits here. But as far as his economic/job creation plans (I posted them earlier), its clear that there were no plans. They were simply goals. There was no plan to achieve the goals, other than to throw billions of dollars at states and hope for the best.
It was FALSE ADVERTISING in the extreme to say he had a plan, for $150 billion, to create 5 million new green jobs. If there was such a "plan," why wasn't it implemented??
I think it is safe to say that while their may have been a broad comprehensive plan to counter terrorism in the region, there was no comprehensive plan for Afhanistan specifically and that was what McChrystal came up with and presented options at the end of August.

I tend to agree with you in this way; forecasting the economy is like forecasting weather. We know what normally happens in a general sense but we have a bad track record of predicting specifics. Americans are addctied to numbers and that leads us down paths perhaps we should not go.

I think throwing money at the states and local governments is a fair idea, but I would rather spend almost 100% on infrastructure. It not only puts people to work but also helps us increase productivity and efficiency for years to come.
