The same reason Reid would not put forward the bills that the Reps passed to him and he would not even bring them up before the Senate. It is going to be the Dems way or NO WAY. Obama said so and we all know he repeats himself over and over and you all then believe your Messiah. His words "I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE WITH THE REPS".
Nice try, but I happen to think Obama is a mediocre to bad President.

That being said, the ACA passed. The ACA was signed by the President. The ACA was upheld by the Supreme Court.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Are you saying that every time the time comes around to fund the Government, the minority party (be they Dems or Republicans) should blackmail the President to get back the things they legitimately lost through the Constitutional process?

Why will Boehner not allow a vote on the clean CR?

For the same reason Reid hasn't let 28 bills come to the floor. In the last 4 days, the House passed spending bills to keep part of the government running including the military..........Reid and Obama won't even look at them. Tyranny is thick in the White House.

The Reps put about 20 bills to the Senate and Reid would not even look at them or forward them and yet you want the Reps to bend over backwards to please Obammr - who said he will not negotiate with the Reps. During Obamr's campaign he ragged on Romney about being for "big business". Obamr excused the Unions and big business from his ACA for one year and yet he is going to stick it to the poor people and middle class now and the ACA IS NOT EVEN UP AND RUNNING WITH THE SYSTEM. Shows the half azz job that the Dems done and since NO ONE READ THE ACV AND OBAMA JUST SIGNED IT AND PELOSI SAID WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE WHAT IT DOES - just shows the intelligence of the Dems.

Your memory is amazingly selective...
Here is the timeline...
1) ACA becomes law
2) SCOTUS re-affirms it's valid constitutional standing.
3) The anti-ACA candidate loses a national election to the pro-ACA President
4) The tea party months in advance decide to shut down the gov't
5) The make a demand they know is out of line
6) Gov't is shutdown until ACA is defunded
7) The President, refuses to give in to this all or nothing opening gambit by the GOP

Numbers 4, 5 &6 Preceded 7 ...You got your timeline goofed.
For it to be your way the President would have had to refuse to negotiate before the GOP shakedown...

Whethe ryou are for or against the law, it was passed in a rare two year period. And it was pure progressive versus Repub in voting. To many people are against this law. and this law will cost trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars and we will see the prices rise in everything we do. A massive tax increase that will beat up the working class even more. That is the way it looks now. If it does not happen, then many will say they were wrong for opposing it and we all know something had to be done.

ACA ISN'T good for America. Obama has granted waivers for business, why NOT the average citizen? 18 Democrats senators wanted the medical device tax waived, so what is the problem?

His handlers forbid it. Just like he's not permitted to allow a conference committee on Obama's budget. But all of sudden, he wants to 'negotiate'.

Reid refused to put through anything the Reps sent to them. Obama screamed about Romney and taxes for big business - Obama has done worse with giving the unions and big business a break for a year and sticking it to the poor and middle class.

Obama has such a lying way with words - he is held for ransom, being held hostage - all of his BS. Thank goodness at least Boehner is a man and NOT A NAME CALLER and shows he is an ADULT and not a CHILD. The people are seeing Obama for what he is and he is now causing another disturbance to get all the heat off of Fast and Furious, NSA, IRS, Benghazi and the list goes on and on.

With a clean CR ..And a reasonable demand like replacing the medical device tax with some other more equitable source...All the pressure to compromise would fall upon the President.
I am being serious...The current state of affairs favors the President. Public opinion had swung against the House. Thus remaining in place and exposed is plain suicide.

Again you have shown some degree of confusion.
That last sentence said that Obama cause this crisis to deflect attention....
The GOP had the choice of when and how to confront the President...

The President was on T V today, and once again lied about the very things he lied about when he made the speech before. He doesn't even pretend to tell the truth. This is why Americans cannot give him the proper respect. I feel sorry for his children.

Try posting anything about Obama's 2006 statement about raising the debt ceiling and see it get deleted. Who would do that? Would Obama?
Do a search for (2006 Obama debt ceiling) and look at what "blaze" or "Snopes" has to say. I have had probably 30 links to those sites about Omama's senate floor speech deleted. I think it funny Obama is critical of republicans.
