White House Memo: Newly Emboldened, Trump Says What He Really Feels

There are 44 comments on the The New York Times story from Mar 19, 2018, titled White House Memo: Newly Emboldened, Trump Says What He Really Feels. In it, The New York Times reports that:

For months, President Trump's legal advisers implored him to avoid so much as mentioning the name of Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, in his tweets, and to do nothing to provoke him or suggest his investigation is not proper. Ignoring that advice over the weekend was the decision of a president who ultimately trusts only his own instincts, and now believes he has settled into the job enough to rely on them rather than the people who advise him.

Nothing new and his base of supporters enjoy it.

Trumpís most ardent supporters are in Kentucky.

Gosh, and I thought it was the majority of those states that elected him. Boy are you a crack pot.

So you missed the point. Yes, a red state like Kentucky is partly responsible for the DJT problem we are now enduring.

And it appears that in spite of all that winning, Kentuckians are hitting the bottle hard.

What good is all that winning if you wreck your health and your employment by overindulgence?

But something tells me this is not a celebration, most likely a response to the fact that folks are not feeling the good vibes and prosperity Trump promised.

They most likely believe what they read on Breitbart too. They are the type of people that boosted Sen. Joe McCarthy agenda to the point where he was allowed to destroy the lives of countless Americans. The hysterical chicken littles of the world feeding off the lies of those who would manipulate the less intelligent and uneducated members of society in order to gain power.

Also in Kentucky is the creation museum with an actual-size Noah's Ark. Go see it and maybe you'll learn something that is true.

That's good coming from the side that believes whatever is spewed from the likes of BSDNC, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, etc.

BTW, your line about the chicken littles of the world can also be applied to the vast majority of people who "pull the lever" for whatever name has "D" after it.

Lefty media doesn't lie compulsively like the Righties do. That's a simple, observable fact. We don't need propaganda to succeed.

The sexual predator in chief will likely condemn himself out of his own mouth. Personally I'd like to see him swinging from a gallows after he is tried for treason! He is obviously unhinged and mentally unfit for the presidency.

What Ill Duce Trump really feels is most often a racist dog whistle or unmoored from facts and reason or a passing reflection of what someone he just spoke to explained to him or informed by pure authoritarianism. Or all of the above simultaneously.

And of course he has little reservation about spewing any of that off the (twitter) cuff or in prepared remarks, although the latter tend to be a little more balanced.

I'm betting that happens more with the "R" than the "D". At least that is the case in the social circles I am acquainted with. Most of the registered Dems I know follow politics and are informed on the issues as well as the candidates. They dont always vote along party lines. It depends on the candidate. While that is also true with some of my republican acquaintances, I see it much less frequently.

It would be interesting to see statistics on that though. There must be a poll on that somewhere. Maybe if I think of it, I'll look for it someday when I'm bored. I'm thinking in this heated political climate and the fervor with which 33 percent of the population blindly support Trump, you would find more automatic pulling of the "R" than you would the "D". I could be wrong when considering the Midterms though. Taking back control if the house and senate is more imperative now than ever before so you might find that with the current administration in office, the majority of Dems may very well vote strictly party.

Yes, NBC and CNN proved that.
