Well, the Democrats just finished sweeping all the homeless off the streets of D.C. for the inauguration. Now maybe they'll finally get rid of all the crack dealers and call girls who service the Capitol building.
How much did the inauguration cost $160 million? And Bush's '05 inauguration cost $50 million? Just imagine what $110 million would have meant to the D.C. school system. Oh, but wait...the Obama's are sending their kids to a $50,000 a year elementary school and they now have taxpayer provided housing. So...to hell with the homeless and the school system...let's party! And, we'll all cry and sing, and hold on to each other and celebrate a black man being elected to POTUS. We'll honor MLK Jr. and all the struggling civil rights workers or yore and wonder at the glory of Obama.

Then we'll scheme and plot how to come after your money to support his ideology. Obama is the king of don't do as I do, do as I say. And his "saying" will become deafening in the next few months.

Excellent idea! After all, Democracy is not like the theory of evolution. Democracy is not about survival of the fittest.

CHANGE or CHANCE? The change we need, the change we can believe in!
Hail, Obama. I can't wait for positive changes and properity.
I think you are a dreamer! Obama will follow the lobbies as the others ,in 4 years you will find out that the democracy they talk about is just a word without meaning!

1993? The FIRST bombing of the World Trade Center? And since most people don't know, Timothy McVeigh was adamantly against war in Iraq and the rogue behavior of the US government's foreign (and domestic) policy, so that's 2 terrorist attacks on American soil within 10 years of the second WTC attack.

Clinton passed a terrorism bill, there was a reason for that.
You should give it some time before criticizing his efforts as our president.
No time to spare considering he will just advance government power with more Czars and social regulation. The changing of the president means nothing except magnitude, none of the concepts change, so what are people supposed to be waiting for? Certainly not for the US government to protect individual freedom.

I'm sorry but have you actually lived in a western european country? I have. The health care system in Britain is a joke. Sure, it's free. But you may wait two months to see a specialist after you're diagnosed with cancer or heart disease. Then there's places like Spain. I actually saw a woman allow her child to take a dump outside a department store...right on the sidewalk. Priceless!
Yes, lived in England - paid in and used the National Health system. Never had to wait, never had to pay a copay, never had to spend hours going through medical bills, never had to worry about the fees over and above what my present health carrier will "carry" (a euphemism in some cases) and had very good medical care.

Yes, visited in England - NOT paid in but have on a number of occasions used the National Health System. My doctors' visits were free,(even though I asked to pay as I was not a resident) and I had to pay a few pounds for antibiotics. Never had to wait, never had to pay a copay, never had to spend hours going through medical bills, never had to worry about the fees over and above what my present health carrier will "carry" (a euphemism in some cases) and had very good medical care.

No, you do not have to go to Spain to see children "dumping" in in approriate places - come to our green and pleasant land of parks and it is there for all to see. And if we are lucky they don't leave the diapers in the bushes. Priceless.

You don't explain why pulling everyone closer to the weakest link is an "Excellent idea". Surely you don't suggest that making people feel that they are born into slave obligation to others is a good idea are you? That people have no choice as to who they will support or not? That they have no choice, but instead, just grunt, scratch, and see who draws the shortest straw? See what the masses have been brainwashed into supporting this week?

Really, the death culture is having a field day.

You reminded me of when Obama said something about If one fails, we all fail. If you would just take a second to think about that..........is that an intelligent thing to say, or just utterly bizarre. If one person out of 300 million fails, then.....well, you get the picture.

Bush is gone. All the Bush bashers don't have a life now. It must be like be unemployed or retired. Maybe Bush bashers have lost their identity. In order to survive you must move forward and find another cause to belittle. Perhaps by the end of the next four years you will so many that you won't be able to keep up.

Correction, my dandy friend, the Bush non-supporters are excited, encouraged and hopeful that our new president will not be like the last one.

It is called patriotism,
it is called hope,
it is called excitement,
it is called "a new day"

That is plenty of positive identity to be getting on with, don'tcha think?

And none of us should judge Obama as our president because he was sworn in yesterday and that is not enough time to prove what he is capable of AS PRESIDENT. Try to look past, for one second, his accomplishments (or lack thereof) up until this point. You should give it some time before criticizing his efforts as our president.
the twin towers was attacked once before 9/11. There were numerous incidents not on US soil. One which my daughter almost died from at Kobar Towers in Saudia Arabia.

"Jones", your comments are clearly deluded. You discuss Obama as "the Islamic messiah and the new leader of the Islamic world and the president of the American people" because of his name and apparent links when you have no idea about the links the Bush clan have with the Saudis, a country mired in their lack of democracy and cruelty towards their own people. The victory you talk about against so called "terrorists" is not a victory but a prolonged war. The Talliban have not gone away, Hamas, who Bush gave millions of your dollars to, still active.
Prior to your 9/11 (do you know that date or the year?) the US of A was only attacked once, and that was Pearl Harbour. During the Clinton years, there were many "attacks" on your country but it was the inability of FAA to ensure the safety and rigorous security checks that led to those planes being hijacked. The FBI had warned about such attacks in 1998 when I was in the states. Al Jazeera has always been around and is an Arab station. The BBC, for example, is British yet has a very English slant on their news.
Your last statement was idiotic. Jerusalem is in a democratic state and is available for Muslims, Jews and Christians. Muslims want it as they fought for it during the Crusades. It has nothing to do with Iran, they are only mentioned due to their Nuclear weapons, not that your country has any or has threatened to use them but I expect little sense from your comments anyway.
Now, get your facts right before bandying about your witless nonsense. You are all mad!

<quoted text>perhaps Bush will be able to tell us of all the attacks that were thwarted after 9-11... like the one on Fort Dix where the young muslim men were caught with bombs in their trunk...the ones aimed against bridges.. surely you cannot be that naive to be unaware that there have been many attempts to attack America since 9-11.
And surely you cannot think that there were not attempts prior to 9/11 that were stopped. Those organizations who work to stop these types of attacks have been doing so long before Bush. I don't think he deserves the credit, and I certainly don't think it was because of him that we have not been successfully attacked since 9/11.

Jones wrote:
Clearly, Obama is not losing any time to stop the great achievements of the great American patriot President Bush and turn victory of our US troops against the Islamic terrorists to a defeat.
The truth about the Islamic messiah and the new leader of the Islamic world and the president of the American people is coming to light.
President Hussein was able to hide his tight political and financial connections and mutual interests with the Islamic terrorist regimes of the Middle East and especially Iran and Hamas using the liberal media of the New York Times and LA Times that are sponsored of al Jazeera.
President Obama could not wait even few hours to give freedom to the worst savage murderous Islamic terrorists on earth in Gitmo.
Now that he was elected, the Islamic rooted Messiah Barack Hussein Obama is 'paying back' his promised favors to the Islamic terrorist supporting regimes that supported his election campaign with more than 560 million dollars. The rights of Islamic terrorists that killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 and thousands US troops are sacred to president Hussein who became the leader of the Islamic world, declaring in his inauguration speech that he has the same interests of the radical Islamic regimes of the 'Islamic world'.
Clearly, the Jews were feared of the new president as they hurried to pull out of Gaza and leave their achievements far from being achieved.
The Jews know that the new Islamic Messiah President Hussein is bad news for them as he will support the same interests of the Iranian regime of Ahmadinajad who called for renewed holocaust and whose demands as represented by Hamas.
Evidently, Hamas and Hezbollah Islamic terrorists under Iranian regime call for the destruction of Israel and conversion the Jewish state to democratic state for Muslims and Jews with Jerusalem becoming international city of the world.
