"Youth immigration bill"? Try youth amnesty and fraud bill. Every nation has a right to borders and immigration laws, ours too. Being illegal isn't a surprise to ANY of these people. We didn't trick them, we didn't change the law and suddenly make them illegal, we didn't bring them here, no they've always known and they've always been illegal.

Americans have a "dream" too, a dream that one day our government will enforce our laws.

"They stand in the classrooms and pledge allegiance to our flag," said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the bill's chief sponsor. "This is the only country they have ever known. All they're asking for is a chance to serve this nation."

Really Mr Durbin, tell me what schools are still allowed to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I am very pleased this bill was voted down.

"A minority of senators prevented the Senate from doing what most Americans understand is best for the country," Obama said.

Really? What 'most Americans'? I don't recall anyone polling me about this. Maybe Barrack is projecting his beliefs for the whole country?

Well, that means that amnesty is dead for at least two years. Thank you Tea Party.

This is outstanding news!!!! Thank you republicans for doing what is right.
President Barack Obama called the vote "incredibly disappointing." No obama, you are the one who is incredibly disappointing for not enforcing the laws of this country you swore to uphold.

At best, if they are 18+, their parents should be deported. Partial payment for doing that to a child.

To add: Even tho as we write, Latin women wait til their labor pains get severe, rush across the border to give birth in this country. Free too.

great news! they should have to follow the laws of this land in the first place. Failure to do should have serious consequences.

I could get on board with that. I'd back a one time legislation would give students age 16-18 a path to citizenship IF the pre-requisite was that their parents register with ICE and make arrangements to self-deport (with all children under age 16) within the same month that the student begins attending college.

I don't suppose these were the student illegals that Durbin was talking about.

This is a nation of laws. These young people entered this country illegally and have decided to stay as illegals every single day since they got here. They are, and always will be, illegals. If they want to become Americans, they will need to show the most basic single quality of being a good citizen: they should show they respect the law, ie, obey the law.

Get out of this country. You are here illegally and are therefore scum. Go back to Mexico where you belong and apply for entry as a legal. I did. If you do not want to do that you will never be welcome here by me and most other Americans.

Gallup poll shows Americans want Porkulus cuts, not Porkulus spending

http://www.gallup.com/poll/144956/Americans-P ...

Overall, Americans choose Porkulus cuts (39%) over Porkulus lynching (31%), while almost no one argues for increases in Porkulus, which comes in at a lowly 5%. Even among Teabaggers, Porkulus is an ex-parrot; only 9% see that as the strategy for economic recovery.

The rest of the results show Porkulus far out of step with the rest of the country.

Just think what these thousands upon thousands of American educated illegal aliens can do for their home country when they get back to their home country.

These third world countries can start picking themselves up by their bootstraps with these "best and brightest" when they all get back to their home.

Pretty soon things will be so much better there, that they will stop wanting to come here illegally.

"youth immigration bill?"

LOL That's hilarious. I wonder if the headline writer wrote that with tongue in cheek or if he was serious.
