Kerry's pointless tour

There are 286 comments on the New York Post story from Feb 22, 2013, titled Kerry's pointless tour. In it, New York Post reports that:

On Sunday, new Secretary of State John Kerry starts a tour of nine countries in Europe and the Middle East; the State Department calls it a "listenting tour." Yet, while listening is part of diplomacy, it can't substitute for policy, especially in the case of the only superpower.

Is Kerry related to Farakhan?

They both have a face like that of a distraught horse.

The same thing was said back in 2009 about President Obama’s speech in Cairo, Egypt… and a year later came the Arab Spring. I think it is safe to say that ‘We the People’ will go with Obama and Kerry on this over the naysayers who can’t beat Obama, win an election and were wrong on 9-11 and the Iraq war.

How's that 'Arab Spring' working out for the people over there??

How many have died? How many are still fighting? How many refugees has this caused?

No wonder why so many foreigners HATE the United States for sticking their nose in where it doesn't belong !!

Yeah, Eleanor, overthrowing dictators is rarely bloodless. Many people ARE willing to die for their freedoms.

would you rather those people not have self rule? Remember Bush saying that installing democracy in Iraq would bring a wave of democracy across the region....

How's that democracy working in Iraq??

People PROTESTING in the streets AGAINST their government, attempting to get PM Malaki to resign!!

That 'self-rule' doesn't seem to working all that well for them in Iraq, and Egypt.

And how is that DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED HAMAS working for the Palestinians??

Perhaps in many, many years, things will settle down.

And yet, when the British after WW2 turned over Iraq to a Monarchy, it wasn't long before THAT government was overthrown and eventually Saddam brought himself to power.

Isn't protesting in the streets exactly what democracy is about, Eleanor? You would rather they be ruled by US freindly despots that kill and torture their citzens?

Hey jumbles, do you believe John Kerry's stint in the Navy, Vietnam with Three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, and a Bronze Star Medal was not a job?

Do you believe Hagel's stint as an infantry squad in Vietnam and a recipient of two Purple Hearts was not a job?

Come you guys, you types are so jingoistic, so hugga hugga and so hateful that you can't discern facts unless they come with a whinge, a grinch, a smear or misinformation.

Hanoi John's time in the Navy is nothing to be proud of. He ran home as soon as the bullets started flying, and got himself mustered out with phony war wounds. Did you really think we couldn't remember what was determined when he ran for President? Like the very bad choice of Secretary of State Clinton, this guy will be worse.
