New polls show Americans support many initiatives many Democrats hope will pass

A new poll suggests President Barack Obama has strong leverage over "fiscal cliff" negotiations because the public continues to support raising taxes on the nation's top earners.

<quoted text>The whole flap about voter fraud smacks of republican desperation. It SEEMS as if it were a big problem and I wondered myself about it, but I was amazed myself to read how FEW incidents of voter fraud that there are. In 2004 they caught all of EIGHTY SIX fraudulent votes in the presidential elections. Eighty six out of over eighty million votes cast. It is not even a statistic, or so low that is laughable.
Even McCain's people in 2008 said it was ludicrous to even worry about it.
Voter fraud needs to occur on a much larger scale than pretending to be the recently deceased Uncle Bob. To change the election, you have to affect tens or hundreds of thousands of votes. How do you do that?

1) Make it nearly impossible to vote in neighborhoods that support your opponent, with six hour lines forcing the polls to stay open past midnight (when they officially close at 7:00 PM).

2) Kick thousands of voters off the list and deny their right to vote.

3) Discard the voter registrations that you collected from people who you suspect may vote against your candidate.

4) Create new obstacles to voting, such as requiring ID's that the least desirable voters (from your candidates view) may not possess or bring with them.

5) Disenfranchise voters--such as students--by preventing them from voting in the town where they go to school.

6) Provide insufficient materials to precincts that might vote against you.

7) Launch a misinformation campaign to intimidate the most vulnerable voters who might otherwise vote against your candidate.

8) Provide incorrect official information about the requirements to vote.

9) Provide incorrect polling locations.

10) Provide the wrong day on which to vote.

All of these dirty tricks are executed primarily by Republicans with increasing frequency each election, and no actions have been taken to stop them.

It never ends folks but now with them and the fed holding the world by the balls of debt we are facing the single most greatest crisis in the history of the world and yet you fools care only about homosexuality.
We have earned our fate!
There was voter fraud. Fortunately, Obama won by such large margins that Republicans were unable to again steal Florida and Ohio.

"This is the Barack Obama I have been waiting for and that Latino and immigrant voters helped put in office," said Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill).

In sharing his joy over Obama's latest immigration policy with the Latino community, Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) let it slip that "immigrant voters" helped put Obama in the White House. It is illegal for immigrants — legal or illegal — to vote in U.S. elections.

Gutierrez confirms what many in the U.S. already believe: Illegal aliens are voting in U.S. elections — to the benefit of the Democrat Party — and each time an illegal alien votes, it cancels out a vote cast by a U.S. citizen.

Nice rant. Of course none of it is based on relevant or real facts other than your racist attitude. No ones buying your stuff man.

It's been more than a month and you're still whining about the election. Says a lot about you I guess but not much more.

Illegals do vote in our elections. Dead people vote in our elections. Voter fraud is a common practice in every country and if you think some of these people wouldn't at least attempt or look the other way at the polls then you are nuts.
In one Philadelphia district alone 19,000 blacks voted for Obama just like in 2008. Just like millions of other Americans. They voted for a man based on the color of his skin. Nothing racist or funny going on around there.
This country is in dire trouble and it is sad so many uneducated ignorant rockstar gazing fools don't see what is to come. The union thuggery in Michigan is only a precursor. The left leaning moral web destroyers are insane and when the deep cuts come, and they WILL come, you will witness some of the most hateful and destructive behavior unseen in decades. Obama union thuggery, the same friends he's been around for decades. Remember Bill Ayers?

WTF! Are you some kind of idiot? Of course immigrants can vote, that's part of the reason they take an oath of CITIZENSHIP. Congressman Gutierrez was absolutely correct and you sit in front of your computer making yourself look the fool jabbering about things you know nothing about. He said nothing about voting by illegal immigrants.

You really need to educate yourself before you spout off. I'd guarantee you those people who passed their immigration citizenship exam know more about this amazing nation than you, every single one of them.

I'm guessing you're some kind of idiot if you don't know the difference between a naturalized citizen and a legal immigrant.

"Illegal for immigrants". My grandparents were immigrants and they voted every time. My partner is an immigrant from England and has been a citizen here since 1975. You are thinking about non citizens, residents. NOT immigrants who are now citizens. Mitt Romney's dad, George was an immigrant and he became Governor of Michigan.

Arnold Schwartzenegger was an immigrant and became governor of California. So, I assume you can RUN the state, just can't vote in it if you're a legal immigrant, according to your logic.

That's a lie. The first 2 years of The Obamaniac Regime, The DEMOCRATS had a MAJORITY in teh House, a MAJORITY in the Senate, and the presidency. They could have passed ANY budget they wanted to. Why has Harry GReid prevented that ??? Harry GReid hasn't allowed ANY budgets to be passed since The Obamnaic took office. This is UNPRECEDNTED IN U.S. history. Why didn't The Obamaniac tell Harry GReid to pass his budget ??? He had TOTAL CONTROL of congress.

Right....

"Bankrupt Hostess Brands and its biggest union are close to a last-ditch deal that would save the maker of Twinkies from liquidation, The Post has learned.

The deal calls for concessions including a 5 percent wage cut in the first year for all Hostess workers, along with health-care benefit cuts and lower pension contributions, a source close to the talks said.

As part of the deal, Hostess would be able to sell smaller brands, such as Southeast favorite Merita Bread. Part of the sale proceeds would go to the company and part to pay back the creditors.

In exchange, the company would remain in almost all of the Teamsters’ multi-employer pension plans — a key demand of union officials.

This is likely Hostess’ last hope. If the members reject the deal, talks will likely collapse, and the company could be forced to liquidate.

The Hostess thing had nothing to do with the Union. The company was purchased by a company that operates like Bain Capital. Buy the company, sell off the value, pay the officers outrageous salaries, bonus them for driving the company into the ground, then file bankruptcy and take the tax breaks from that to offset the profits.

How do you think Mittens got so rich?

great story...
too bad you didn't read the post directly above yours with the facts...
