Protesters repeatedly interrupted a speech by Karl Rove on Tuesday, calling the former White House adviser a "murderer" and "terrorist" for his role in the invasion of Iraq.

Why support them otherwise?
When states step in and do the job DHS won't do,the feds fight them tooth and nail with the SC.
Wish they would stand up for their own citizenry with the same passion.
no one has ever fought AZ on the law they have had for almost a decade now about losing your business license if you hire illegals. nor has any other state had that problem.

they could enforce it if they wanted to.

The DOJ couldn't wait to fight Arizona on immigration laws the DHS wouldn't enforce.

and they were laws that would only continue the proven failed revolving door policy of immigration.

why are you dodging the issue? AZ has not had one single interference from anyone in implementing the law they themselves put on their books.

why doesn't AZ solve the problem they have with immigration using the laws they have?

the answer is they don't really want to.

Where do the Feds come down in all this?
In many states its illegal to use e-verify or even ask if a person is legal.
The borders, ports of entry and airports are federal jurisdiction.
Why not fine and jail Homeland Security,TSA and CBP for not doing their jobs,or yank federal funding to sanctuary cities?
Companies fined? Yes, that was the law till Reagan made a decision not to enforce.

The feds are part of the executive branch of government, as such they take directions from the president. No president since Reagan has decided to enforce that law fully. bush used it as political payback for corporations who didn't "fully" support him and arrested the illegals so they couldn't work.

e-verify is a symptom of the mess Reagan put us in. I don't oppose the people who were lured here by companies promising work, and they should be treated with dignity and respect, but they do not have the right to hold jobs in this country.

Yes, they could enforce the law if they wanted to. The reason they don't is the lobbyists don't want them to. Flooding the labor pool means supply and demand will cause lower and lower wages and fewer and fewer benefits, lowering the standards of living for all Americans.

Enforcing the law would mean corporations would have to pay higher wages and thus smaller bonuses for CEOs. No way they want that to happen.

The official 9/11 story is so far fetched, self contradictory, that it is impossible to believe. So while I don't know what happened, the ridiculous story from the government makes them complicit in at least the cover-up. Judging by the massive gains made by bush, it is clear bush had a motive as well.
We are not allowed an investigation into what happened. You cannot have a democracy without an informed populace. There is way too much propaganda and obfuscation. As to getting the word out, it is difficult to even find what the word is.
An "informed populace" is the last thing the power structure wants.

I mean, they are glad to tell people that the former Governor from NY, David Patterson, got free tickets to the NY Yankee games, but next to nothing when the Government Accounting Office, under an Amendment to Dodd/Frank, that Amendment being attached by Sen. It would seem logical for the US to have Mexico cough-up what they owe us.

What a REALLY a sad state of affairs is that Obama gets his immigration orders from an ex-Chairman of British Petroleum(too pathetic). And when the orders come down to Barack, he lets the DOJ know what their position needs to be.

One of the STANDING ORDERS that came down from the ex-BP Boss, was to totally ignore the Constitution.

2014 needs to be the start of an ANTI-FASCIST movement in politics ousting the fascist wing in the repub party, symbolized by Bush/McCain and the fascist wing of the dems, symbolized by Obama/Clinton.

Remarkable.

You know, I might agree that the repubs are guilty of what I call a clueless or careless rascism, based on their Benghazi arguments, since they are omitting, hopefully thru ignorance, the slaughter and persecution of thousands of black-Africans in Libya by the Muslim terrorists, prior to Ambassador Stevens being murdered.

Had the repubs raised the issue of the muslim murders, including lynchings and beheadings, it is certainly probable that Amnassador Stevens would have not of had his security placed in the hands of the "rebels".

all the money in the world wouldn't help get a politician elected if US citizens quit voting for who puts out the most commercials.

elections aren't bought, they are sold by complacent voters. the US electorate has the power at any time to shut down the influence of money in elections. they have given that power over to their TV remote. people like that deserve to be led by people who actually act and produce, in fact, they must be led as they are incapable of doing it themselves.

So, you are suggesting the people of the United States are so complacent that even when millions are being killed, it's what we deserve. Millions have been killed, and I am not talking just about Americans. The military has run amok. While some might work for better government, the great masses prevent anything good from happening.

While there is some truth to your statement, I disagree. Yes there is much complacency, but those in control, both parties, are using all the methods available to maintain that complacency and destroy our nation. If the laws set up in the 1940s were followed, the people working to steal everything would have been prevented from such actions.

Most people are basically honest and will work for the betterment of themselves and their communities. When the government has been contorted so that a few people get everything, and millions and millions are left without so much as food to eat, things will change.

That complacency will turn to violence unless something is done to stop it. The rich have stolen too much. They have taken more than 100% of the increase since 1980. I would prefer a non-violent solution, but I think we are past that point.

People have no confidence in the election system. People have no confidence in the taxation system. People have no confidence in the judicial system. People have no confidence in the executive system. People have no confidence in congress and the lobbyists who write our laws. We are being abused by the government that was set up for our common good. Instead it is for the good of a very small group of people and the masses are now finding it out.

Oh my god, dude..whaa, fucking whaaa! you are the biggest crybaby ever!

get off your ass and make your own wealth if it is so easy to just steal it from others....which you have yet to be able to show one single example of how wealthy people steal anything from anyone.

why is it so many people around you are able to make a success of their lives, both monetarily and otherwise and you can't seems to? is the problem really the system or what you did with the same system everyone else worked with?

Thousands of examples and you can't even find one? Let's not look at Cheney and the massive profit he got from no bid contracts to Haliburton. Let's forget Bill Gates and his stealing every feature of "windows" along with his government approved monopoly. Let's forget about the rigged stock market. Let's ignore the insurance company. Let's forget about the rich getting more than 100% of the gains in our economy over the last 30 years. Let's ignore the millions who are out of work. Let's forget about the millions and millions more who, according to the government have given up looking.

I claim you have to have money to make money. Now let's see if you can find a counter example.(Hint, there are some, look at the winners of the lottery)

As to your statement that perhaps I need to work harder? I suppose 12 hour days for decades don't count for much. I suppose 18 world wide patents don't matter. I suppose multiple degrees doesn't mean a thing.

Again, you have a sick definition of "success."

again, how come so many people that came from no money are able to make wealth themselves?

your 'examples' are just more conspriacy theories and jealousy of people who have made companies invaluable to the world. you seem to be using bill Gates' products without being forced to. hypocrit much/
