Paul Ryan Explains Why He Requested Stimulus Funds
NORTH CANTON, OH - AUGUST 16: Republican vice presidential candidate U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) speaks at a campaign event at Walsh University. Credit: Getty Images
Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan released a statement saying that after looking into allegations that he requested stimulus funds from a bill he voted against, he did, in fact, ask for the money.
Ryan said that the asks were treated as routing constituent requests and that explains why he couldn’t recall them.
“They should have been handled differently, and I take responsibility for that,” Ryan said in a written statement released Thursday.
“After having these letters called to my attention I checked into them, and they were treated as constituent service requests in the same way matters involving Social Security or Veterans Affairs are handled,” he also said. This is why I didn’t recall the letters earlier.”..."
Great. Now why don't you explain what funds he requested? Was he asking for new money or money that Congress already granted...... but it was only a matter of who was getting this new money?

lol! Now you're going to qualify your position? Or more accurately, you want me to qualify YOUR position?

Son, I just showed you cons are no different in deference to your opinion.

But if you want to play that game, isn't raising the deficit based on money Congress has already spent?

You can't play both sides of the line son. But you idiots certainly do try!

Yep, money Congress spent years ago--not currently. Currently, this Congress is trying to put the brakes on spending so that in five or ten years from now, the Congress won't have to raise the debt ceiling again.

How have the GOPers persuaded America to buy into the myth of Obama THE BIG SPENDER when the opposite is true?!
• In fiscal 2010 (the first Obama budget) spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.
• In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.
• In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the
• Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. CBO’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.
When America has chosen to believe the horse manure produced by a NEWS agency consistently making false claims, promotes divisive behavior, bigotry and hatred, you will remain ignorant in your anger and self-imposed blindness.

1. Obama and the Dems have yet to pass a budget since he has been in the big chair.
2. When his "budgets" result in deficit spending (you know....spending more than what is coming in) to the tune of $1.5 trillion average of NEW DEBT per year, I wouldn't exactly call him a fiscal conservative.
3. The CBO has said Oblunder is set to reached the $20 Trillion deficit by the end of this term. I believe he won't just reach it, he will pass it easily.

Spending is no problem provided you have the money to pay for it. It doesn't matter what you spend, but how far in debt you put the US.

Liberals don't understand the definition of the word Broke. Broke means no money. Broke likely means debt. Broke means failure. Yet, liberals vote FOR failure time and time again.

Well not many on the right were happy about Bush's spending either. Spending is spending as far as I'm concerned. But there is no doubt that DumBama expanded the social safety net as far as it could stretch and then some.

Sure they were. If you sold to the defense department.

Besides, who did Ken Lay call when his company got in trouble? Why, his friends in the WH!
