Gas has gone from over $4 where I live down to $3.24 which is what I paid yesterday. Again, that has nothing to do with the President. Remember, Dick and Bush are hard-core oil barons and they did nothing when gas went to $5 during their 2 terms.
Between the two-unfunded wars and the ridiculous tax credits which didn't stimulate the economy, Bush left us with a huge mess and the worst economy since the great depressions. Don't you think swooping in now and telling Obama how to hold the mop is a little hypocritical?
Where were you people when Bush was spending $ like a drunken sailor?
Still fighting the past! There hasn't been a budget for how long now? At least 3 years maybe 4. Obama had one party rule for 2 years and did what? Not the economy but health care. That alot of people did not want! Obama has submitted 2 budgets and can't get them pasted in a DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED SENATE! People forget, DEMOCRATS CONTROLLED BOTH Houses the last 2 years of GW's term and first 2 years of the Obama WH! Yes GW could had vetoed but didn't. Also, Republicans ,to include GW, WARNED about the housing bubble to Democrats in the House. And they did NOTHING! GW LIFTED the executive ban on off shore drilling and gas dropped. This president has done NOTHING! He is forcing us to live the way HE wants us to but not include him, of course! Everything he said during HIS campaign, he lied! He is trying to run the 2008 election again. And the sad truth is, alot of you dumb MFer's will believe him ,AGAIN! Hopefully the Supreme Court just handed Romney the election. The American people will speak and soon!

THE REPUGNANTCANS HAVE CONCEDED!!!!!!!!!!They are making a fortune on the t-shirts they are selling with Judge Roberts' picture on the front and the word "traitor" under it.
All day long they've been talking about how the U.S.A. has been destroyed, both on Topix and in interviews on all of the major newscasts. One can only assume that this behavior signals their surrender.
God surely blessed the U.S.A. with President Barack Obama!

Seems like they should probably backoff, this election thing then....after all, who would ever want one of their own to be president of a destroyed country and all? Look at all the campaign money, they can save now....maybe buy more guns and survivalist supplies.....

Based on thread title... YES!
Mitch laid it out all by himself.
Did this serve Americans or the rabid GOP?

.. Oct 26, 2010 ... Mitch McConnell: The Hell With The Economy ... "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

This is either one of the most off-message quotes in U.S. political history or the truth.

U.S. political history or one of the most important indications of what's really ahead over the next two years.  My guess is that it's the latter. McConnell is saying that it's not the economy, jobs, lowering the deficit, or any of the other issues on which the GOP has been campaigning: it's winning at the next election.

Florida and Louisiana refusing to set up healthcare exchanges and Virginia considering doing the same. Now that's the revolutionary spirit America needs at this point in time. I would not be surprised to see several more states tell Obama to go f** k himself. Now that's the American spirit!!!

If the states do not set up the exchanges the federal government will do so.

It isn't revolutionary, it is giving up.

You are pathetic. Your Messiah Bishop Romney is campaigning against Governor Romney in a desperate attempt to rip health care from American families.

Why do you want Americans dying in the streets?

Oh like Americans are dying in the streets everywhere I look right now. This obamacare fiasco was passed against the will of the majority of Americans. This is just another example of Obamas pursuit of govt control. Pathetic??? Gfy.

Exactly. That's a huge part of the beauty of it. Everything will go through the IRS.

BFY. "Study links 45,000 U.S. deaths to lack of insurance"

reuters

The US health care system is a fiasco. It is nearly 18% of GDP. It will kill our economy by the sheer weight of its incompetence and greed.

"U.S. Health Care Costs More Than ‘Socialized’ European Medicine

...It confirmed that the U.S. spends more per capita on publicly funded health care than almost every other country in the developed world. And that includes countries that provide free health care to all their citizens.

...Combined public and private spending on health care in the U.S. came to $8,233 per person in 2010, more than twice as much as relatively rich European countries such as France, Sweden and Britain that provide universal health care."

Lest we think that our paying twice as much as others pay makes us healthier, think again:

"Life expectancy has risen in line with that in other developed countries, but the average American life span of 78.7 years in 2010 was below the O.E.C.D. average. Obesity in the U.S. was the highest in the 34-nation survey."

USA health care sucks. It is a national disgrace.

Also, no one in those countries goes bankrupt from medical bills as they do in the USA. 60% of all bankruptcies stem from medical bills.

The personal and public cost of bankruptcy adds to the ridiculous cost of health care in the USA.

I don't think you know a lot about Americans but just mention taking away their Social Security or Medicare and they go apeshit crazy.

Just try taking away healthcare after they have now heard all the benefits to Americans and how now we will be protected from insurance companies who used to be able to jack up prices for no reason or drop you because your care is too costly. Those days are over and Americans are NOT going to give up ObamaCare.

Keep dreaming though!
At least your republitards
